RIP Kera Magazine Chief Editor Matsumura Naoki

Japanese fashion personalities on Twitter are posting tributes to Matsumura Naoki, the chief editor of legendary Japanese subculture fashion magazine Kera, who passed away suddenly earlier this month. Matsumura’s influence on the Harajuku subculture street fashion scene, going back to the 1990s, has been immeasurable. As the chief editor of both Kera Magazine and Gothic&Lolita Bible (as well as working on several post-Kera lolita magazines), he was arguably the world’s top evangelist of Lolita fashion. Rest In Peace Matsumura Naoki, thank you for everything. Harajuku would not be what it is today without your influence.
