THIS BOY IS, INDEED, SPECIAL.
his tunic is green, not unlike peterâs, showing that surely he must be someone heroic like himself; he knows the existence of many faeries, not a single one to have spent much time on it but have danced to him nonetheless, as he knows from a single glance & sniff; he carries the wooden sword similar to his, perhaps carved a bit differently but shall be wielded the same, and peter pan must think that this other is someone of the fantasies that are the only reality, just like himself. not someone from the neverland, certainly, as he knew all who had ever taken up in the land and did not come back to their london origins.
we even have the same hat, tink!! is what heâll be telling.
this â district beta â is not far off from his â district alpha â, and being peter pan he must explore everything. of course, not all of alpha is fully mapped as heâs mostly conducted brief overviews and not gone into complete thoroughness, knowing every smallest depression in every wall, because itâs only been such a short time. thereâs much, much to yet explore, and he shall not be taking any hesitation. so this is where he finds him, the green - clad sword - bearing boy, and peterâs voice bounces & echoes throughout the tunnels of this beta place.
up in the restricted air he looks down upon him and a smile is, of course, painted onto his face, the same as his curiosity.
â Why, who are you?!
Let me guess, you hear the stories?
Or you just want to be a plain hero, like me? â
now, keep in mind, peter pan did not actively think of himself as a hero. he thought himself the ultimate adventurer, the one whoâd conquered the neverland and mastered the skies of london, but if provoked in any way, he would indeed introduce himself as the neverlandâs hero. whether this was true or not was perhaps debatable, but it was he who had sliced the hand of hook and fed the crocâ, and it was him whoâd saved wendy from treacheries, and it was him whoâd saved his men from ever being more than youth. never mind the lost boys whoâd died, never mind the trouble heâd caused, it was all very heroic of him!
