17/50 moments from The Phantom of the Opera
I know you love Hays as Raoul and feel that he has one of the best portrayals, but how about John Cudia's Raoul?
this is bittersweet to answer bc Jeremy is leaving the production and was Raoul for what??? 3 or 4 years???? I’ll miss his Raoul greatly but I’m absolutely thrilled that we are getting two actors of color in lead roles. Anyway, John’s Raoul was endlessly sweet and seemed to dote on Christine. I never detected any arrogance from him at all in the videos I’ve watched. he’s one of my favorites for sure. also one of my favorite phantoms

Four non-stripy US Wishing dresses
To my knowledge, only the US has had Wishing dresses made of fabrics other than the stripy/floral one. These dresses were made in the late 80s and early 90s. I don’t know why different fabrics were used - it can have been for economical reasons, or maybe they didn’t get more stripy blue silk in time, or maybe just because someone wanted a more unique look. Whatever the case, they’re a rare sight. I’m gonna give them these nicknames:
The “multicoloured” version
The “blue on blue” version
The “original” version
The “silver leaf” version
