I wanna ramble about the new Megumi episode to y'all, because coming after the back of the Yuji episode, it shows such good parallels and contrasts between Megumi, Yuji and how they handle sorcery.

Main thing I wanna talk about is that... Fucking Domain scene.

Obviously using a gym as a psuedo barrier for Megumi's Domain further shows Megumi's tactfulness in fights, rather than brute strength like Yuji.

And that FUCKING Domain teaser, with the beating heart sound and the nerves traveling throughout the gym.

It's makes it look like his Domain is alive. The incredibly bright blue/ cyan hue in contrast with the much more dark floor of red and black makes them both feel bolder to you. I personally view the heart... Looking thing as a representative of how Megumi views his own heart, with the veins around the Domain meant to show him wanting to protect the ones he loves, while not caring about the central area. Could be wrong, but I had so much fun watching this episode this week!

Edit: Also, forgot to mention, you can hear Megumi's motif at the very end where he summons his Domain, and it just... Triggers something primal within me. I love my son sm.

After 10 hours of redrawing and leaving this for like, two weeks, I'm finally done with this Choso piece that I wanted to finish before his release on global. Despite how I usually feel about art that takes this long, I actually really like it, mainly 'cause I didn't force myself to finish this. I've never cried, wanted to rip my hair out or yell at the screen more than watching this episode! I've joked about how I relate to Yoshiki, but I really felt it here. Having that one person where you don't need to hide your true self slowly drift away from you breaks a person and it broke me. I legit started to cry LMAO! The desperation in his voice, the way he sounded like he wanted to cry, this boi is HUNGRY for attention 😭😭. I wanna hug him so fucking bad. And the fact Hikaru said, "Took you long enough" SENT ME! Cannot WAIT for Season 2! I love this show!

Daily reminder to everyone to watch The Summer Hikaru Died. It's the closest thing to a BL without being a BL I've ever experienced. It's more horror if anything, especially with how the show makes you feel what Yoshiki feels. I can feel his fear, discomfort, despair at every point and how ambient the show can be with its under-usage of music in a lot of scenes is genuinely incredible. Like, it's so eerie in a lot of places.

My brain has been off for the past few weeks because phantom parade has been putting me to sleep because there's no content. In that period an NPC called Manato Komano was released and he is everything I've every wanted. I'll let the Pic explain.
