Okay so even if a Clint has a wife and kids in AoU, and canon Clintasha is only platonic, it’ll still be hella cute?

A list of household rules drafted especially for when Nat visits. No poison tipped daggers in the house, no cleaning guns on the dining room table, nobody’s allowed to be maimed or killed in bedtime stories, stop drinking soda straight from the 2 liter bottle and all the other little bad habits she’s picked up from Clint.

Clint and Natasha mailing back souvenirs and postcards for everyone when they’re out of the country.

Clint getting a text on the Quinjet home from a mission that reads “Christmas card pic on Friday, wear a red sweater.” Natasha staring at her own text in confusion because this weird number just sent her a message, “Family Christmas pic on Friday, you’ll need a red dress.”

Y'know what, I’ve decided that Clint met Nat after he was already married, and as they became better and better friends, she’s coming over to the house, she’s playing with the kids, she’s connecting with Laura, etc he was horrified to find that he was falling in love with her, because he loves Laura and didn’t want to ruin his family. And one night he confesses this all to Laura and says “if you don’t want me to work with her anymore I’ll explain it to her and move to a different department” and instead of making him do that Laura was all “…actually I’m sorta in love with her too; I mean I’m not interested in having sex with her but I fantasize about touching her romantically and I really want her to be part of our family”

So they open up their marriage to Nat and at first Nat is like “sure” because she loves them both back, but as Nat starts to outgrow the Red Room brainwashing and integrating into normal society she also starts losing her comfort with doing things outside the norm. Because their arrangement isn’t hurting anybody right now but surely it will in the future, right? Otherwise more people would be poly. And while she knows it’s completely wrongheaded and irrational, the fact that she can’t have kids makes her feel like she’s “not really part of the marriage”, especially after she tries to pick the kids up from school and isn’t allowed because “you’re not their mom” even though Clint and Laura both authorized her to do so.

So she asks Clint and Laura if they can take a break from the whole thing while she sorts things out, and they say of course because they love her and want her to be in a good headspace.

And that’s when she convinces herself that she’s in love with Bruce (Tony’s got Pepper, Thor has Jane, and Steve has his own issues because he’s stuck on both Peggy and Bucky), and that’s why the BruTasha in AoU was so forced and awkward and out of character.

And after Bruce leaves Nat goes back to Clint and Laura all “I fucked up. Start over?” in her trademark deadpan and of course they take her back.

The asymmetry in the Kiramman crest has been pointed out lots but it's one of my favourite details in the show so I wanted to contribute my ideas

I've always seen it as a physical manifestation of Caitlyn feeling like a misfit in her own family - imperfect, going out of line, breaking rules, 'ruining' the family image, the strained relationship she has with her parents, etc. Its purpose as a crest is to represent the family, so the asymmetry, a clear imperfection, is the part that represents Caitlyn.

But it can be more than just that.

Thematically, the Kirammans have always been the ones breaking the norms in Piltover. Cassandra built the ventilation system in Zaun, she also sponsored Jayce when he was working on Hextech (I firmly believe she would've supported the project if she knew about it and the reason she cut him off was overprotective anger at him almost getting Caitlyn severely hurt), she works through her prejudice of Zaunites and gives Caitlyn her blessing to pursue Vi, and Caitlyn... well, do I need to explain that? Name one time she's ever followed a rule.

So it isn't just representative of Caitlyn, but rather of the innate nature of House Kiramman as a whole to defy Piltover's consensus. In a city that values perfection, their family refuses to conform and are the catalyst for necessary change based on what's right, regardless of what's accepted, and this is reflected in the crest they brand themselves with. They aren't afraid to stand out; they quite literally wear their 'imperfection' as a badge of honour. They embrace it.

And that's quite a comforting image. If even their crest is imperfect, maybe a misfit like Caitlyn can belong there, even if she doesn't realise it. And maybe it's even leaving room for Vi as well.

That makes the fact that the asymmetry is lost when the crest is changed to the alliance insignia with Noxus in s2 even more interesting, but I have a lot to say about that so I'll probably make a separate post.

honestly would it be crazy if I said that caitlyn hopes that vi dies first. obviously she can’t stand the thought of living without vi and her ideal scenario is that they take their last breaths in tandem but if one of them has to be alone caitlyn hopes that it’s her. she hopes that it’s her because she has seen vi grieve over and over again, has watched her be dragged down by the weight of it and claw her way back out. and caitlyn can’t stand the thought of that happening again, so she desperately wants to carry this last burden for her, to ensure there will never be a world where vi is hurting and caitlyn isn’t there to hold her.
