Like, I don't think I can adequately express how being a Superman fan has been DEEPLY uncool for... my entire life.

Anyway, go watch Lois and Clark. Dean Cain turned out to be a shitty person but he is unfortunately my favorite Clark and Teri Hatcher is BY FAR the best Lois Lane.

I cannot tell you how wonderful and bizarre it is to see people happily and unironically posting good things about Superman and it's MAINSTREAM. It's like I've been living in a desert for 20 years and then suddenly a waterfall has been dumped on me.

People get it now! It's about choosing to be good! It's about choosing to be kind! The power fantasy is not "man who is powerful." The fantasy is "man who is powerful is GOOD because he CHOOSES to be GOOD." And that is something that is powerful! And something that is DIFFICULT in a world that can so often be cruel. And no it's not "boring." Choosing to be good and kind in a cruel world? That's RADICAL.

I don't intend to Get Into maximum ride again. They were Hmm well I read all of them when I was like 10. And I have since given them away to a used book store to inflict upon the next generation of middle schoolers who resonate with escaped science experiments for reasons they can't yet articulate, so it'd be too much of a hassle to re-read them anyway. I'm pretty sure I read all of them. I remember the first couple being uh genuinely compelling novels and then by the end I was just saying "this might as well happen" on like every page.

So many stupid posts on tumblr about how voting third party is fine actually. I have to hope that this is because people have amnesia because it can't be because everyone here is <8 years old or there's a disinformation campaign happening (likely). This is what happened in 2016. A vote for third party is both useless and actively helps the Republicans. I'm sorry that sucks and it upsets you but it's true and that's how the system works.
