Three Simple Rules In Life.
Im in search for a system of pushing myself to be the best me with the minimal resources I have. For now, I have my self care things I need to work on. They're not always the best, meaning i don't always do them, but its a start. And its something I fell like can motivate me to do other things.
The hard part is not having money. It sucks that everything revolves around money. Well being, health, safety, etc. It’s hard navigating things on your own when there aren't many resources available to you. But the important thing is to keep trying and keep going.
it isn’t selfish to focus on yourself. it’s perfectly okay and you deserve it.
You’re making progress, and that’s what matters. (Even tiny steps)
I give myself permission to be human. for @writingallnight 💕
yesterday i went to a gay bar for the first time, and I met two people. The first was a man well into his 70′s, who had only come out since his wife died. Even though he could barely walk, he knew every single person at the bar, and each one came over for a hug and to chat. The second was a transgender woman who, after two children and three grandchildren, had finally decided to live as herself. She was wearing heels and leather pants and makeup, and she was absolutely beautiful. she knew she was as well, and she was so proud and excited when people walked by and said “hey girl” without even thinking about it. point i’m trying to make is, it’s never too late to come out

So I have been stuck in a rut these days. This one marks one of my most difficult times in my life. And of course, in desperation and helplessness, I have been researching different things to improve my life and most importantly my mental health. I stumbled upon this angel. She has made a few videos about her own experiences and how to change your mindset, and her channel has become my new favorite thing. It’s like she is speaking directly to me whenever I watch her videos.
Watching videos like this at least once a day has been helping a bit with my mood and gaining hope again. And I encourage others to watch/research something inspiring everyday. And to pass on any recommendations if any. =)
I hate that us lesbians have to say “im a lesbian but this guy is cute” like we should be able to just say “that guys attractive” without fearing ppl jumping us with “I KNEW YOU WERE FAKING!! EVERY LESBIAN NEEDS A MAN TO RIGHT THEM!” like fuck off yall never question gay men saying women are hot why do you do it to us?

Recovery is a process. It takes time. It takes patience. It takes everything you’ve got.
