Hello dear Traveler, it’s your chaotic Prinxe. The name’s Ares Cross (they/xe/ey)! I am new to writeblr, but not new to writing as a whole. I’m a writer, artist and overall creative!

I write adult fiction, specifically in the genres of fantasy, sci-fi, romance and adventure. Currently my main projects are a sci-fantasy book and a fantasy romance book.

I read mostly fantasy and sci-fi with a large dose of romance in whatever book I pick up. My favorite books currently are The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab & For Brown Girls with Sharp Edge and Tender Hearts by Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodriguez. My favorite shows are Supernatural, Castlevania, Arcane and Tomb Raider.

I am currently a full-time university student and a part-time writer. I am working on my first novel The World Beyond the Naked Eye which is this year’s NaNoWriMo project! I will be introducing the project soon too!

There has not been much writing, though there has been a lot of reading. Yesterday was a beach day but the water was so cold, so not a lot of swimming. I did get reading done though, starting to work on my summer TBR. (Yes, with books on the burner- but still there are books I want to get done this summer.) Along with that I visited a closing Barnes and Nobles and got a new cookbook to make some nerdy food. Overall a good couple of days filled with reading and enjoying life. 100% ready to get back to writing though- I miss my world.

I have been just chilling writing... However I did not write today, I had a chill day. That is also the plan for tomorrow. No real updates other than I am really enjoying writing these chapters because I love Lunara (a character). These chapters are really fun to do. I think its the most time we spend on a planet besides Earth and the final planet... tied probably.

Finally, introducing my favorite species! Which means I am onto my next section! Yay!

I am glad with the progress I am making. Other than the story writing, I am planning on making a Substack. Which is gonna take some time to plan because my brain just wants me to focus on the development of this world- or well another world... But that world is for while I send this one out for people to read before it gets all professional. Like sending it out to agents... Which I do want to do.

I just... need to figure out the slowly failing mental headspace of someone who thinks they are okay. Then narrate that- in a whirlwind of getting settled in a new environment that just happens to be space. But like from the beginning of that decline when I was just recently at the acceptance? of that decline. Wish me luck. My MC is fine-

I got to put up my Skyrim map, properly. It looks so much better framed. Ugh- Writing has been going pretty well, in all honesty. I am now on Chapter Six. Very solidly in space, got to our first planet! This is what I call my "dress-up" chapter, in my eyes the first "real" planet is next chapter. Where I get to introduce Lunara- whom I adore! Anyway back to writing!

I am back in space now! Literally just finished writing the second they enter space.

Other than writing I have reorganized my room. I finally got to put my cork board back up and some other framed pictures. Along with some other stuff I got from comic con last year. It took me like twelve hours to properly organize. I went through old journals and sketchbooks- That totally did not delay me at all. But hey the decor made my room more aesthetic~

It is always a joy going from Chapter Three to Chapter Four. A sweet, brief chapter that hints at a relationship down the road to surprise, here is my monster! Charm, my MC, in the early chapters is such a joy to write. I love Charm with a passion, though she is not my favorite character in this story. Honestly, every time I get to introduce one of the other characters, I get so excited. I am just waiting for my masked character, Erin- who is actually my favorite fun fact.

I sort of fixed my laptop, so I have been able to write! My favorite early chapter is honestly chapter 3, so I have enjoyed writing today. I love the relationship between my MC and her love interest. Its so sweet!

My laptop is on the fritz. The network just... vanishes sometimes as I am working. I most definitely need to get it to get fixed because I just want to write. And I can't write if my wifi keeps going out. This is making me rethink the software I use. I may make a change because not having to use wifi to write is not a bad idea. Sadly, the organizing software I use also uses wifi.

Any suggestions? I have heard scrivener is good. It would combine the organizing & writing.

You know that joke about how many times writers rewrite their first chapter? The answer is always a lot. I have honestly lost count on the amount of rewrites for the first chapter. I like the new start for Chapter One. Well technically the new new start. I just wanna get to Chapter Three and Two and back to space! I miss the space settings.

In all honesty, still riding the high from my graduation. I got to celebrate with my friends in a lovely little barbecue. It was nice. Right now, I am waiting to hear back from my interview for an internship. Wish me luck!

I finished the first two chapters, well, the prologue and chapter one so far. The edit is going pretty smoothly, now I got a different start to chapter one which I like even more. So maybe this ain't all bad.

Yesterday I got to walk for graduation, it was a lot of fun! I kinda blew my voice out yelling for my other friends that graduated. It was such a nice day celebrating with all my loved ones, got hot pot and then threw axes. (the usual)

Now I got a couple of fresh flowers for my workspace too, which always brightens my day! Which I need with the planned rewrite due to the plothole. I spent my entire day fixing my outline so I have a specific line on where to go. Everything should go better this time. Keyword is should.

I am all set for my outfit for tomorrow, gonna be very flower heavy. The full cap design was finally completed after 2 days, along with two trips to Michael's. I love it in all honesty, and cannot wait to show it off. Tomorrow is going to be very hectic, but I could not be more happy. Even though I finished last December, I am going to walk to celebrate. I am a first generation so it is a very special moment for me.

Writing is also hectic- I fell into a plot hole that means I have to go back and start this edit again. So yay me! Wish me luck.

Today I picked up my cap and gown. I know exactly how I am going to decorate my cap, I have had the idea for a while. So I also went and picked up the supplies for that as well. Now I just have to put it all together before Friday- more like Thursday since Friday morning I walk. I can not wait to walk honestly.

The mask idea is still speaking to me, like the Green Goblin's mask. I have been doing more research on it. Along with some research on other masks and veils. Honestly, I am going to make it work no matter what because the idea is just perfect. It makes the race seem more alien than I currently have them, which is what I want.
