So far I've thoroughly enjoyed this trip with my brother, but perhaps one of the coolest things we've done found its origin in misfortune. We missed a train because of heavy traffic and ended up spending the night in Brussels. The next morning while walking back to the station, we walked through Grand Place. It was my first time and the square was empty. The sun was rising and it was magnificent. It's a reminder not to let the frustration of travels prevent you from new discovery and enjoyment. I'm sure many of you have stories like this too.
