Open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever.

My potted cactus died. I am literally less nurturing than the desert.

My #tbt is from my climb to the top of Mt Quandary a while back. It was my first 14er and it was one of the most amazing experiences. There’s not a lot of wildlife at 14,265’ but to my surprise there were quite a few goats. This little guy was my fav of the bunch and he followed us for some time. #hiking #hikes #hikesfordays #colorado #mtquandary #mtnhigh #14er #instagood #photooftheday #picoftheday #igers #goat #theairisthinuphere #getoutside #lovelife Photo from joshuascottmorgan http://bit.ly/1L8FhhS

I came back here to share this post I saw the other day. Fish are beautiful, living creatures. They might not express emotion or personality like dogs or cats, but they are extraordinary albeit small things. It hurts my heart to see these once free fish get cooped up like this, living in their own waste in broom closets, in the pet store, and in some kid’s grossly small tank or an adult’s wine glass or tupperware container once they’re bought. Fish need good living space, water quality, and a proper type of environment. They might be hardy and seem able to live in tiny spaces with no care, but so can humans in the poorest of slums. Before you buy a fish, make sure you can take care of it. And I hope that one day people will try to change how inhumane they’re treated in stores.
