Addressing the issue with PWP’s not showing up

I’ve heard a lot of people ask and talk about an issue with the Save Editor where their injected PWP’s aren’t showing up. My friend who was having this issue gave me a list of all the PWP’s they tried to inject, so I decided to attempt to put those in my town as well to see if they showed up, and they did.

The main difference between how we hack though is that I still use the browser hack. If you’re not aware, the browser hack was an exploit found on 3DS versions 9.0 to about 9.5 or something, and was patched in an update, meaning that unless your 3DS is a certain version, you can’t use the browser exploit, and you can’t downgrade either.

My friend is using the Homebrew method, which as we all know gave 3DS’ that couldn’t use the browser exploit the ability to hack their game. So we’re essentially doing the same things, inserting the same PWP’s, but using different methods.

So, if you’re still hacking with the browser exploit, do PWP’s show up for you when you directly inject them from the Save Editor? Or does it not show up for you too? 

Alternatively, if you’re using the Homebrew method, have you had any success in getting a PWP to show up within the past 12 hours or so? Or is it not showing up?

I’m sure this bug will be addressed pretty soon, but I just wanna know if there’s a connection between the type of hacking someone uses and the ability to get your PWP to show up?

Homebrew method here! I actually did successfully add a PWP that I was having trouble with. the problem is I dont know exactly what I did that made it show up??? I have a possible idea, but not 100% sure. One thing that I did notice (at least when I was experimenting) was that whenever I added more than like 5 PWPs at a time between injects, some/all of them would not show up. When this happened, I went back to the editor, deleted a few, kept like one or two, and they would show up. Dunno if it was just a coincedence or if this works, but it may me a helpful bit of info for further investigation?? (I will test tomorrow whether adding one at a time is successful). Also I was messing around with the PWPs around an hour ago, and for some reason, one of my bridges disappeared (even though i did not edit its coords, or put anything near it meaning more than 5 spaces away). I managed to get it back again, by taking away a couple PWPs. Im not sure how many PWPs the people that are having problems are generally inserting in a single inject, but from my experience this could have something to do with it. Within the last 12 hours, I was able to get many PWPs to work on the first try, though. A hot spring, the fountain statue, and a water fountain. Last thing is, I noticed that i was unable to get rid of a PWP that was in the process of being demolished in-game. So it may be possible that other things are interfering with the insertion of PWPs as well? That’s all the info I can provide for now, feel free to contact me if you want to clarify anything I said or further investigate!
