Your honour the man I am representing here today is not a murderer. I would argue he was merely "curating his space" and "regulating his nervous system" by choosing to, quite rightly, cut out a toxic presence in his biosphere
guy who only experienced torture: this reminds me of the torture i went through
guy who only experienced torture: i don't like this because it's too unlike the torture
guy who only experienced torture: i'm afraid of not being tortured
Did you actually think that Amane would be older than Fuuta?
Yes, I genuinely thought so.
Yeah, I thought so for the bit.
No, but I'm not suprised.
No, and I was completely taken aback.
i think her angel design is very pretty. :)
ok one last angel amane for now
"All tainted blood, WE must now repaint!"
Non-Demonium by Amane Momose (Milgram Project)
wait, now i'm curious... how do you interpret amane having DID? is it okay if i ask you to be more specific?
considering i just got into this this morning i don't have a developed headcanon for exactly what her system is like or anything but i just think it's incredibly obvious in the symbolism that she has it
first of all her trauma is perhaps the poster child for obvious things that cause DID (extreme abuse/torture in a cult setting from the time she was born). this probably doesn't need to be said but i'm saying it anyway these are like peak circumstances to develop DID lol
second of all literally all of her trials, which are supposed to reveal the characters' inner psyche and memories, have multiplicity theming... i'll go over a brief summary of the imagery that sticks out to me but this is going to be kinda abstract and rambly cause my thoughts are so fresh apologies in advance
these four mascots representing the beliefs of amane's religion/cult are all over Magic (trial 1) and even have names. they are clearly at least partially representative of real events (the cartoonish slide show of them torturing her lmao...) but these characters are also implied to be a part of her mind, a symbol of the beliefs instilled in her. just as amane is seeing herself and what's happening to her through the lens of a magical girl, i think it makes sense for her to see these horrific beliefs and practices that hurt her through the lens of charming mascot characters
also um
during trial 2's audio drama she literally starts speaking in a completely different voice and using "we" pronouns from the POV of "her faith" (what these mascot characters represent) so LMFAO.
and in speaking of trial 2,
the purge march starts getting so on the nose about it lmao. girls will be represented by numerous copies of themselves all in a marching band maintaining order (of the cult) and shown to punish themselves for breaking time and they expect me not to headcanon them with DID?? they've gotta stop putting symbolically plural interpretations of the traumatized mind in everything... they're making it so easy for me
if the marching band version of her with the swirly eyes can be considered to be her faith manifest, keeping her in order and also justifying every horrible thing that happens as righteous and justified, it also makes some of the other imagery in this mv interesting:
this transition from this inner world with the marching band into her real self having the swirly eyes could be representative of some sort of switch, coping with events by having this faithful version of her take over and see the world through her eyes, for example (this is certainly not exhaustive, there is so much to be said about the whiplash between the marching band innerworld and reality in this mv)
and of course trial 3, non-demonium! literally shows her mind as a factory in which she's printing different versions of herself! her emotional responses and internal thought processes during the horrific events of the MV are distinctly represented by her (sometimes struggling with) managing this factory of the self that is run at the control center by multiple, the return of the mascot characters from earlier (in a different form)!! watching this MV for the first time was so surreal, it was like i could see the headspace metaphors, the splitting and dissociation happen in real time in reaction to the horrors, attempting to survive and justify and rationalize reality and her own actions and the violence... like it's actually so much wow. the conveyor belts even feature all prior versions of her from the previous trials which really ties it all together
all this is to say i'm not necessarily saying that each version of amane depicted in these mvs is a literal different alter but moreso that i think a cult survivor being consistently represented via numerous versions of herself and/or her programming, that are also at least in one case shown to talk through her with "we" pronouns LMFAO, comes off heavily as DID to me. in fact i find it hard to read her any other way personally. do i think the writers did it on purpose? absolutely not. but i still think i'm right regardless
if you want an actual headcanon as to her alters though, my friend sent me this one from @/MaauSmt on twitter that i thought was pretty damn good/compelling
i hope any of this made any lick of sense because i'm aware this was not super well structured. perhaps i can sit down and do a more play by play analysis in more detail sometime
amane panicking then suddenly calming down in the mv feels dissociative 2 me

wow that was a much needed pfp change
pls let amane be from the 20th century
i guess i was right
Please can we recognize that Amane is a victim of cult abuse without using the RAMCOA/SRA abbreviation. That term is not a proper one to describe religious abuse since it was coined by satanic panic/Illuminati conspiracy chuds who've been disbarred or even have abused patients they were supposed to be giving therapy to.
