@owl-writes Writeblr Life Week | Prompt 1 - "about me"
I’m Marta, I’m new at tumblr writing scene and at writing in general. It took me quite some time to figure out that I’m not actually bad at writing because all I ever tried were well fiction basically, characters, dialogues all of that and I couldn’t really get into it so I obviously thought that “hey I must suck at this” but after some time I wrote my first short story (kind of, I’m sorry if some names doesn’t make sense I still am figuring out terminology and things like that) and it got a positive response, so I found out there is a way of writing that I actually like, and would like to explore more, and long story short I started a writeblr.
Here are examples of few my works “under the vintage moon”,(the first story I’ve written) “museums- cemeteries of gods” “bloodless” (I’ll someday have a page with all my works in one place.. for sure) as you see I like vague mystical/supernatural themes mixed with urban life, and everyday city living. (it was always hard for me to describe my works style but I guess that’s the most accurate I could get) dark urban witchy vibes all they way.
I also sometimes try myself in dark fairytale-like stories and poetry. I’m making moodboards and aesthetics as well, in fact I’ve been into it much longer than I’m into writing, so you for sure can expect to find some of them on my blog as well. For my works, but also for works of my friends or just stories/poems/quotes that I like and that has inspired me.
As I said before I don't write fanfiction or even orginal works with characters plots and so on, so it can be alienating. I always feel wierd when taking part in ask games etc someone asks me something about characters or plot of my wips and I'm like "uhhh I don't have any" I guess I need to learn how to engage with community with what I have but it's hard af when everything is so fiction centered and all events are about OCs, plots, and stuff like this.
