Space Monster Wangmagwi (1967) by Dopepope on Artstation.
This movie beat Yongary, Monster of the Deep to theaters by almost two months, which makes it South Korea's oldest surviving kaiju film.
I finally managed to finish this film (it took three tries) and for my money Yongary is the better of the two.
Wangmagwi's story was just too disjointed for me; there were (not very funny) comedy bits interspersed that stopped the barely-there narrative; the monster costume looks like a quickie Hallowe'en costume your grandma slapped together with scraps of carpet; and the budget was so low that the monster stepped over buildings instead of smashing them, so those same buildings could be used for later scenes.
For me that picture by Dopepope (above) is a whole lot more impressive than the film that inspired it.
In my opinion, Space Monster Wangmagwi is only worth watching for kaiju completists.
Or if you and your friends have been drinking heavily and want something to watch. It actually might make a lot more sense then.
The evil wizard Orochimaru appears for the first time as The Magic Serpent (1966).

There is a series featuring Anubis as its motif/main character, where Anubis travels through Japan and the world, encountering yokai and people along the way.
