Firm believer in the power of sleeping to cure ailments. Doesn't visit as much because he doesn't want to delay your healing.
While you're sleeping, he stops by to speak privately with the nurse about your health - who, for some reason, seem all too willing to share it with him, despite him not being family.
Has it completely under control. She seems to know your immune system better than you do and plans her visits accordingly.
Brings you easy-to-stomach food and water, helping you eat and drink if it hurts for you to sit up. Also brings you fresh clothes because she doesn't want you to feel gross.
When she has an extra hour before class, she sits with you and reads a chapter from her current book aloud.
He wouldn't know what to do. Honestly, he'd probably just nap in a chair next to you with his feet up on the bed.
Occasionally leaves to fetch you some soup and sneak you some sweets (since the nurses don't allow it).
Overall, pretty worthless when it comes to you being sick. Not because he doesn't care, he just doesn't know how to show it. He'd probably get sick with you in solidarity.
She brings a LOT of gifts. I'm talking the entire bedside covered with stuffed animals and handwritten letters.
Stops by as much as she can, but also keeps her distance because she doesn't want to get herself sick either.
