-tackles- DADDDDD
“Baby Girl!”
Alright, so I have been trying to get back into the groove of things here, because Joe is very awake again. However, I think I may end up scrapping whatever is in my drafts, and just go ahead and start some new things. It seems like the best way to go about it all.
With that being said I’ll be very interested in plotting with you guys, and getting new things started. So hit me up if you may be interested in writing with me and maybe we can figure something out.
I also need to work on my commission as well as icon season two Joe because I still have yet to do that.
“Aw hell no.”
“Um- would it get you off my back if I just said no?”
“Probably not.”
“Joe? Have I ever mentioned that you’re my favorite dad?”
“No, but I could sure hear it again and maybe I’ll throw in dessert.”
The day had been strange. It had dragged on and dredged up things neither of them had wanted to revisit and at the end of it all, Harrison just felt DRAINED entirely. But then, he got tired a lot more easily these days. Most nights he retired to the bedroom fairly early to catch up on some WORK, or just read and relax. Today he was doing the former because it was the only thing that could distract from thinking about Barry.
The young man had been acting strange from the moment he entered the house. He’d been fine with Joe but acted distant towards Harrison. And then he’d brought up Iris. It pained Harrison to see his husband going through his own PAIN, thinking about his daughter. He knew Joe would’ve change things if he could have. Barry had been evasive all night, keeping his distance from him, acting like he barely knew him. And after years, yes it HURT. But the young man had also been through a lot in the past several months.
Harrison chocked it up to grief. Barry had just lost his father, his real father. And while Joe had helped raise him, while Harrison had helped raise him partially as well, they weren’t his biological PARENTS. They couldn’t replace Henry. No one could. And maybe Barry was having a hard time being around them at the moment and that was why he was acting strange. But he’d been fine around Joe, which was the part he couldn’t figure out.
He felt Joe plop onto the bed next to him and reached out, running his hand over the other man’s head, fingers massaging lightly. He didn’t take his eyes off the papers spread over his lap. More financial data from the lab. It wasn’t going to be EASY to make the place marketable again after the accident but he was still trying. And it was honestly easier to focus on his failure THERE than it was to think about the other stuff. “Yeah.” Not really. Harrison finally looked over to the other man, brow furrowing slightly. “Are you?”
Joe let out a bit of a sigh, content to have the other’s hand massaging at his head. The feeling was comforting within itself and he was beyond grateful. He was entirely sure that the other wasn’t fine, but he didn’t push the matter. Instead he just thought about the returned question, and the answer he would give.
Joe stayed quiet for a long moment, not really sure if he was alright, or if he was on the verge of breaking. He had a habit of always trying to be Harrison’s rock, to be the strong one for his family to lean on. However the was only so much one man could take before he needed someone to lean on himself.
“Not really..” he whispered softly, deciding on the truth. There was no pointing in hiding it, because he was entirely sure it wouldn’t even be believable. He readjusted himself, so he could lay close to his husband and rest his head on the other man’s shoulder. Joe glanced at the paperwork, for a brief moment attempting to make sense of it all. He could tell it was financial and that was about as much as he got out of the paper work.
He took a deep breath, and let his eyes close for a moment. On top of all that was going on with Barry, there was the fact that Joe had almost been taken away for good from his husband, and that was a thought that didn’t sit well with him. Sure they had all agreed to the plan, and that if anything were to go wrong, it was a consequence that they would all have to live with but even had to admit that he never thought Zoom would drag him to Earth two. If it hadn’t been for Wally, there was a very good chance that he still would be there, if not dead.
@harriscnwclls
It had been an extremely long day and he wanted nothing more than it to be over with. Hell he wished that this whole day just never happened, but there wasn’t much to be done about it now. Once hew as sure the house was locked up for the night, he made his way up to his room. There was a part of him that thought a long hot shower sounded relatively good, but he eventually decided that going straight to bed was the more favorable decision.
Making it to his room, he wasn’t all that surprised to see that Harrison was already in bed. He sighed a bit, kicking off his shoes, and getting ready for bed trying to just relax and not over think Barry being odd, chalking it all up to the boy grieving. Once he was changed, he finally made his way to the bed and instead of getting under the covers properly, instead he opted for just letting himself lightly fall and land face first into his pillow.
He knew he couldn’t sleep like this, but it was a relative good position for how he felt at the moment. Hell if he didn’t have self control he would have just let out a bit of a scream into the pillow, but luckily he had at least that much control over his emotions.
“You alright?” he finally asked after a moment managing to unbury his face from the pillow enough to be heard. He knew that on top of Barry’s uncalled for comment about Iris, he had also been acting odd around Harrison and that was incredibly strange. So he sought to make sure the other was okay, it was easier if he could just concentrate on Harrison rather then himself.

“Did I stutter? Grounded.”
Joe has decided that all the Barrys are grounded. All. Of. Them.
“I think you’d better order half a MEAT lover’s.”
“I suppose I can manage that.”
“You know that means you have to have TWO specifically for me, right?”
“I’m insulted that you even think you have to remind me.”
“It needs to be stuffed crust.”
“When have I ever not gotten stuffed crust?”
“So I’m thinking pizza for dinner, thoughts?”
