Sun Kissed

This originally was supposed to be a quick doodle to practice drawing some silly poses. Few hours later and I realized I was in too deep. What took me the longest was drawing the each figure. I want to get really good and fast at drawing people. I'm definitely a ways away considering the rate I'm going at it, but I guess that just means I need to practice.

I'm kinda proud with how this one turned out. I'm realizing as I write this that shading in some parts don't really make sense. I tried to render it from the reference that the light source was coming from the upper left corner.

However, I am done and I cannot spend another minute working on this when I should be locking in (　-̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥᷄◞ω◟-̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥᷅ )

Tbh I didn't like how it first turned out, but she's kind of growing on me. I think I still could have done something nicer for the background but I guess it's not too shabby for the time limit I gave myself.

Something that slightly bothers me in fandoms when people create their own version of characters and they are entirely different than canon. To the point where it's just basically a different character. Like... just make an oc?

The only exception I have to this is Miraculous. Most fan iterations are better than whatever humbuggery is going on in the show.

*Sidenote- I am aware that people can literally do whatever they want, this is just my little opinion. I'm not talking about anything specific, cause this happens in all fandoms (even with real people-celebrities). (Also I'm not going out of my way to hate on people's head canons-that's dumb.) Don't take this too seriously

This started out as a silly little project where I would just glue random scraps in a book. I spent too much time on this one, but I think it's my favorite so far

uh oh...

I got bangs in June, they've grown out a bit and were covering my eyes. ObVioUSly the best course of action was to trim them myself.

"It's just hair, it'll grow back."

and it did but I still hated it :)

So, I haven't really been drawing or painting much. Tbh I've been in a rut. It's hard to get into the practice of drawing again. It's a cycle of getting frustrated with my limited skills, not drawing b/c I'm frustrated, and not improving b/c I draw so inconsistently.

I didn't come here to complain about my skill issues tho, instead of drawing I've been making silly little collages...

I've still been creating art in other ways-well I wouldn't call this art persay. Putting stuff together to create something appealing I guess

I have a lot of paper scraps, stickers, and cards that I've saved and decided to finally use them for something. I'm thinking maybe I could use these as a practice to make an actual art piece (when I get the chance).

Just wanted to share cause my account has been... very inactive. I'm still alive and creating stuff lol

maybe not super cool or interesting stuff, but stuff nonetheless :p
