Arcana headcanons: sharing bed with main 6/how they sleep
I’m here again orz (I’m writing this instead of my wips, I’m procrastinating my writing by writing something else help) Well, this time some headcanons about how it is sharing a bed with the main six (this is sfw by the way)
Lots and lots of stretching and yawning… he sprawls everyway. For him this kind of gestures are a sign of intimacy and he really enjoys watching you being sleepy or lazy. He has lots of weird dreams, and he has fun interpreting both his and your dreams together.
His preferred posture while sleeping is on his stomach. He usually tucks his arms under the pillow (and his back makes the most beautiful arch), but if he shares bed with you, he puts a leg or arm over your body to keep contact, or holds your hand with your fingers intertwined.
He likes to sleep with very little clothes, usually just his underwear. He doesn’t like the feeling of the sewings.
Soooooo lazy. He doesn’t mind staying up late at night, but, no matter how soon he goes to bed, he ALWAYS wakes up late. He’s not even sleepy. He just likes to chill in bed and do nothing.
In the morning, he doesn’t like to rush. He takes things calmly, makes a tea… he usually has a slow start of the day. He procrastinates duties as much as humanly possible. If you indulge him with tender caresses or so, then it’s impossible to get anything done.
Nadia likes to read a little before bed, and she really loves it if you rest your head on her lap (she will play with your hair while she reads). She doesn’t move much during the night. Once she is settled and asleep, she’s still like a rock. Her breathing is steady and profound, really relaxing and grounding. She looks beautiful while she sleeps, but… she softly snores sometimes. And it’s really embarrassing for her.
She sleeps on her back. She read somewhere that sleeping on your back is the best way to keep an healthy spine, and she takes that very seriously. She even advises you to do the same. However… she likes it if you hug her, while she puts an arm around you.
She usually wears a very soft and vaporous nightgown. Something light and open, silky.
She goes to bed at a sensible hour, wakes up pretty early, and eats a consistent breakfast. Everything very reasonable and responsable. After all, she has a lot of responsabilities as the Countess.
She usually wakes up early, and enjoys spending a little bit of time watching you sleep. If you happen to talk in your sleep or make any weird sounds, she will chuckle and think you are cute, enjoying in silence. She might tease you about it later, though.
So generous with the blankets. Are you too cold? Too hot? Is he taking too much space on the bed? He can adapt to you! You have to shut him up with a kiss or something so he finally relax.
He sleeps on his side… cause he is so tall. If he sleeps on his back or his stomach, his legs peek out the bed. He has to shrink a little if he wants to completely fit, and there is no way to escape the nightmarish invasion of his lanky legs and arms. It’s like sleeping with a horse.
He sleeps with his socks on. Yeah. Just what you read. With. His. Socks. On. Every night. He also wears boxers or trunks, and tank tops. And leg suspenders cause I say so. Some other nights, he passes out with street clothes… he’s a human disaster.
He is the worst night owl. Does he even sleep? He goes to bed really late at night (so much work, so much to do) and, somehow, wakes up early too. You almost have to bribe him to go to bed. No wonder he has such baggy eyes.
In the morning he is a fucking disaster. Really clumsy, just stomping on everything and making a mess everywhere. He can’t start the day without his morning kiss. He points at his cheek with a finger and waits until you indulge him.
He quietly mutters in his sleep pretty often, and he gets REALLY embarrased if you tell him the nonsense he said during the night. He has lots and lots of nightmares, and needs comfort after them… they are pretty bad. He calms down fast if you are there for him though. However, since he feels like he has a secure place by your side, lately and more and more often, he… has started to softly giggle in his sleep. It seems like he gets more vocal while asleep than when he’s awake. It’s ironic.
He sleeps in fetal posture. It makes him feel safer, and also helps him fit better on the bed. He likes that posture specially if he’s being the little spoon, but he doesn’t mind being the big spoon. He also likes when he is on his back and you are on top of him (he likes the pressure of your weight, its comforting).
Bared chest, comfy pants. He gets hot pretty easily, and he sweats a lot, so he preventively avoids the superior part of pajamas.
He usually goes to bed when the light goes away, and wakes up with the sunrise (he has to feed the chickens)… but, if he is feeling a little down, he goes back to bed and stays there for a little longer.
Moody + a little pouty in the morning. He’ll just silently ask for hugs by stretching his arms. Then, he tries to be productive and goes to do chores.
Sleeping with her is… interesting. Pillow wars, cold feet on your back, crumbs on the sheets, gossiping until way too late and regretting it next morning… not a single night without incidents. Also, the pillow will look like a kiwi after all her shedding. The taste of her hair in your mouth will become really familiar. You’ll be afraid of suffocating someday. Also, she drools A LOT.
She sleeps in a starfish posture. While she is awake, she’ll try not to occupy too much space, but the moment she falls asleep and loses the control of her own body… be ready to have her arms all over your face.
Wears a full comfy pajamas, very loose and wide and made of cotton. It has cute prints, but it’s a little childish. Even if you mock her, she doesn’t care.
She wakes up sooner than the birds omg. Also, she doesn’t need time to adapt. It’s like pressing a button: from fully asleep to fully active in a matter of seconds.
She’s really active in the morning… and will do her best to take you out of bed, the sooner the better. She brings you breakfast, she tickles you, anything really… she just wants you around already. Do not waste your day!
He can’t stay still. Kisses, laughing, feet fights, talking talking talking… getting out of bed to pee, to drink some water… or to try some of those harebrained ideas of him. He moves a lot during the night (but, you don’t understand how, he always manages to tangle himself around you in incomprehensible ways). The dogs sleep with you two, of course… it’s so crowded in there. Sometimes he snores a little… but it’s better not to tell him he’s getting old
If he is alone, his sleeping posture is hugging the pillow. If he is sleeping with you, then… you are trapped for the whole night. If you try to get away, he whines even if he’s completely asleep. He needs lots and lots of touching.
Naked like the day he was born. He likes the feeling of the sheets and furs on his bare skin. He must be freezing to death to put something on (and even in that situation, he prefers to go get another fur and put it over the sheets… you suspect he’s just addicted to skin-to-skin contact).
There’s no way he gets up early, he will find an excuse if necessary. He even gets a little pissed off if something wakes you two up. Also, he has a makeup routine that takes time, so… you better not be in a hurry.
In the morning, he’s soooooo clingy. Almost to an annoying point. Kisses, kisses, kisses, nuzzling his nose in your hair, kisses, biting you, more kisses. Hangovers are a pretty common thing too.
