back during july of 2020 my sister and i had been toying with the idea of an elaborate animal crossing/bunny maloney crossover au based on the idea of stan being the “third nookling” - because in the pitch bible for bunny maloney, stan’s last name was originally going to be nookie instead of just ookie.

the premise of the au is tom adopted stan probably around a decade before he adopted the twins, making him stan nook, and older brother of the nooklings. the timeline should look a little like this based on the ages ive been able to find (redd said he was 35 in wild world but im gonna go ahead and say hes older in acnh, but i dont think anyones THAT much older… so im guesstimating 38)

I know it's defeatist to think this, but I think the "two cakes theory" is not realistic. Nobody looks at two pieces of art (one significantly better than the other one) and just goes "wow more than one art piece! fucking awesome!!"

They know the other cake is much better designed and probably better tasting than the other one. The smaller, simple cake is absolute shit compared to the bigger and better cake.

I genuinely want to know what is so reassuring about that comic.
