Wow. I'm already drafting some scenarios, because I planned it to have 2-3 chapters at least (with artwork!! People in my class are commissioning me so I had some practice), because I had another dream again and I wanna add it as a continuation to that so probably stay tuned for the last week of January or maybe early Febuary!

My dreams are getting even weirder and specific now. Warning, kinda suggestive, but not really. About It and Hallorann, so if you're not into that you're free to skip this post. If you're a minor, shoo! Go away

I had a dream about an AU where It was actually contained (temporarily) by the military, the events in the sewer did still happen but the black spot did not happen (yet? I don't know if dream-Ingrid knows), Hallorann's shine was in control like in ep 8, and he did that gaslighting thing to Pennywise.

But, in my dream, Dick was in his bedroom asleep, and he tried to go inside It's mind again, since the military still haven't let him go yet (they WOULD do that, tbh) and they want him to find ways for It to submit to them, so on so on. He did the carnival illusion again, just him and Pennywise in the room this time, but It did not fall for it, so he's just himself but in the barker's outfit still. Now, they're both just kinda doing mind games, cuz Pennywise won't attack because it knows that the moment it attacks they will both wake up, and Hallorann is trying to figure out what the hell is up with this entity. One of the theories from the military is that the creature is pregnant, or is in the process of getting pregnant (asexually developing eggs inside em, like some kind of fish or something, and also like an animal in heat), and maybe if that theory is true they could somehow use that fact against the creature, to make it obedient or submissive. Well, Pennywise can't read Hallorann's thoughts while they're both inside it's mind, nor can it manipulate much of its surroundings because Dick's just powerful like that, but it still knows how to read faces. It knows Dicky's trying to find something out. So It tried to find a way to fck up Hallorann's mind by messing with him... BUT LONG STORY SHORT Hallorann did eventually find a way to make It submit a little bit, like a tamed wild animal, but only just for that moment. How? Remember how Hallorann can hurt Pennywise while inside the mindscape thing? Yeah, use your imagination, freaks /aff.

If only I'm brave enough, I could turn this into a one shot fanfic. Maybe one day lol

(A brief ramble about Pennywise/The Deadlights and human emotion)

Look…I know this probably wasn’t intentional and is probably because Bill doesn’t blink a lot when playing Pennywise and getting watery eyes is just inevitable, especially while wearing contacts. I realize that’s probably what’s going on here and they just decided to keep the shot. But I’m going to ignore that likelihood and pretend this is fully intentional and look way too into it.

Pennywise has a few fake crying/mock crying moments in the movies, but that doesn’t feel like what’s happening here. In this scene Pennywise is taunting Marge about her future. We learn that she’s Richie Tozier’s mother and we find out that IT knows its own future and that the Loser’s Club will bring about its “death”. And assuming Pennywise isn’t lying we also find out that its concept of time, life, and death is distorted and skewed and its existence on our plane of existence is difficult. Pennywise doesn’t like being caged in and that’s what’s threatening it in the episode.

I just think that maybe…just maybe…those tears might be real. I highly doubt the tears are out of sadness. No, this feels like a mixture of annoyance bordering on anger (or at least the closest thing the Deadlights have to those emotions). The deadlights is such an intriguing entity to me. I’ve never understood the ongoing sentiment online that the Deadlights can’t feel because that’s just…not true. We know for a fact that it can canonically feel fear. Now can it feel all the emotions that us mortals have? I don’t think so. I think it’s concept of “emotions and feelings” is not the same as ours, not nonexistent but not the same. There are feelings that I think the Deadlights can absolutely experience and some that I think it simply cannot express or experience, at least not the way humans do. But that’s a conversation for a different day. This is a personal theory/headcanon that I’ll go into more detail about in the future so keep your eye open for that if you’re interested.

Like I said, I know I’m looking too far into it but little details like this are so interesting to me. Even if it was something that was probably unintentional. I guess that’s kind of the point, right? The Deadlights is a cosmic entity beyond mortal comprehension and no matter how much we try to pick the character apart we will never fully understand what’s going on behind that clown facade. And that in itself is fascinating.

This is a long way of me just saying: I think the visual of tears coming out of Pennywise’s eyes is a cool detail and if nobody stops me I could write a very unhinged essay about it.

Maybe It shed a tear because Beverly stabbed it right on its eye, or maybe there's more "emotion" or something else going on. STILL FASCINATING THO! I want to study him under a microscope

Honestly this scene really solidifies my opinion on hallorann being my second best character after Pennywise.

His character is so well-written and acted, as well as his development in the last episode and connecting welcome to derry to the shining! To be honest, I want a spin-off show about dick hallorann so bad, or just a short film; any content about him! I'm not ready to let him go.
