Hi I have no one to talk about gaisei with so I hope it’s ok for me to yap in your inbox 😭 I finally gave in and watched a full playthrough of side mission 200 and I didn’t know the boy brought Jett to the hotel and she watched the final battle with all its tension and “I’m glad we met 🥰”…… mind you, the last time she saw the two of them together, they were both on the verge of a breakdown because they couldn’t bear the thought of being apart when he got the job offer 😭 Jett meets her grandson and immediately finds out he’s down horrendously for this girl… fascinating

Ok, ok, so Mission 200 and Jett. I have very mixed feelings about Jett and think she's too self-centered to even realize that. In my mind, she just wants to get her name out the tabloids and have the quasartico and rogue tower incident. If she pawns off her company to an oblivious kid who is always soooo ready to help, he wont even realize what shes doing and she can retain the power via "advising" him.
HOWEVER if she were to be seen as a good person, like damn. The first time she sees these two little freaks interact, theyre borderline about to break up. Someone is crying for sure (I will never forgive you, "dont make this harder than it needs to be" line. Thats straight up a breakup line). So Jett just witnessed these two teenagers breakup except as far as shes concerned, they were never together. Her grandson then throws himself into corporate works which is great for her. And then he takes her to his home. To his found family. And she gets to witness the tension from the sidelines. Naveen and Lida are used to the tension, it barely registers anymore because they know what's up with them. But Jett is experiencing this for the first time, and if theres a single good bone in her body, thats an Oh Shit moment. Like she knew those two kids had a thing for each other, but she didnt think they were that down bad for one another. Thats some You Are My Soulmate levels of down bad
Ok, ok, I know this is unrelated, but do you think his mother was a bit of a lovergirl like Urbain is? Like got horrendously down bad for whoever it wad that fathered her child? Because I think she had Urbain pretty damn young (and that was a point of tension between her and Jett. Not only did she not follow in Jett's footsteps but also she got pregnant quite young). Does Jett she the last remains of her daughter in this boy? And realized how much she missed out on?
Ok, but what if..... what if I do both? And I just start with 45. "What Do Want to Watch?" Would that be acceptable?

The door is closed; Harmony knows she doesn’t have to knock anymore, that she can just walk in as she pleases, but still, she stands there. She stands there, staring at the wooden door. She stands there, her hand resting on the door handle. Yeah, she can’t do this. She lets her fist meet the wooden panel, listening to her knocking echo through the door.
It’s not long before Urbain is pulling his door open. His smile is sweet as he cocks his head to the side. He’s really pretty to look at; he’s so pretty, it’s a little unfair.
“What’s up, Harms?”
She purses her lips, rocking on her heels. Maybe it was a mistake coming to Urbain. Maybe she shouldn’t be bothering him with this. She’s not his problem to solve.
“M’bored?”
His laughter is always so bright. His laughter alone can light up Harmony’s world; she can’t help but smile every time he laughs so openly. It’s such a lovely sound; she will never get enough of it. She will never not be mesmerized by it as he ushers her into his room.
“Lemme just finish up this email and then I’m sure we can figure out something to do.”
Harmony nods as he heads back to his laptop. She lets her body flop down on his bed; she stares at the ceiling as the soft sound of typing fills the air. How he does it, staying concentrated and on top of things, Harmony will never understand. He’s out all day, running around and following orders from every higher up at Quasartico Inc., then he heads back to the hotel to get cooking and continue working. And after all that, he still has energy to entertain Harmony; he always promises he will make time for her.
“And—” the mattress dips to Harmony’s left— “I’m all yours.”
It’s instinctual, rolling onto her side and wrapping her arms around his middle. His hand finds her hair, fingers twisting and playing with a stand of loose hair. How dare he be this sweet with her?
“Does your laptop still have power?”
“What?”
Harmony shifts; she pushes her whole body onto the bed, flipping onto her back and letting her head rest on Urbain’s lap. He’s looking down at her, smiling before poking her cheek and laughing. He always laughs so easily, so beautifully.
“If it’s not dead, wanna cuddle and watch something?”
Urbain’s eyes seem to sparkle; Harmony knows very well that he would adore to do so. It’s probably in his top three favorite things to do when he’s tired; she’s not crazy enough to say that she doesn’t also adore letting herself melt into his side, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders as they watch a movie or two until they both fall asleep. Honestly, any activity that involves Urbain counts as her favorite activity. She’s happily humming as a kiss is pressed to her forehead, Urbain slipping out from under her to go fetch his laptop.
“Did you have anything in mind, Harms?”
“What do you wanna watch?”
Urbain flops onto his stomach next to Harmony. He doesn’t bother trying to conceal his passcode as he logs into his laptop; Harmony has warned him to be more careful, that being so careless about security measures will eventually bite him in the ass, but at this point, she already knows all his passwords. There’s no point in him trying to hide them from her anymore. Instead, she just snuggles closer to him as he opens up a website and begins scrolling.
She already knows what he’s going to pick; whenever he gets to pick what they’ll watch, his first pick is always that old cringy romcom he claims is a cinematic masterpiece. At this point, he probably knows the whole script by heart; he could probably recreate it all on his own from how often he’s watched that movie. But it doesn’t matter. What matters is that it makes him happy. All that matters to Harmony is that Urbain is happy as he hits play and pulls her closer. All that matters is that he’s pressing kisses to her cheek as they wait for the ad to finally become skippable, waiting for the moment Urbain can close all the pop-ups without too much trouble and they can watch for what feels like the fiftieth time the same movie. All that matters is that Urbain is there.
