happy mothers day to them <3
Bilbo: wait I get it now. The dragon is a metaphor for greed and power. We need to ‘defeat’ it by being humble when we get the treasure.
Thorin: Bilbo, for the last time, it’s a real dragon and it has my gold
CANNOT take credit for these, my sister in law made them. Behold.
Whenever I think about a LOTR Isekai Fic where the reader comes from our world, I always imagine a reader who is a big mythology nerd and woos everyone in Middle Earth by telling them these fantastical stories that they've never heard of, from a world they could hardly comprehend. I think all of the characters would be into that honestly, but I think that Frodo, Bilbo and Aragorn would be the most attracted to that. Like imagine sitting around the campfire with Aragorn and trading stories with him.
And imagine lying in bed with Frodo or Aragorn, cuddling and fast asleep, when they wake up from a nightmare. Imagine helping them calm down and get back to sleep by telling them a myth that they haven't heard yet, like the marriage of Skadi and Njordr or something. And when you finish the story you realize that they're already fast asleep again and you just smile to yourself and cuddle closer to them before drifting off yourself.
Today is a big day on the Spanish internet. Valentine's day in Spanish is "día de San Valentín", which sounds almost the same as "Sam va lentín", which is how, in some parts of Spain , you would say "Sam goes slowly".
Hence, since a few years ago, every February 14th, the Spanish internet is full of "wait for me mr. Frodo" style memes. One of our holiest days of the year.
oh and the post would probably make more sense if I actually shared any meme right?
You can't even picture how many variations of the meme people post today. It's all very silly and I love it.
The funniest part is the actors are aware of the meme!
omg this is my favorite discovery of the year I am loving these memes
Gandalf throwing his staff at gollum is what really makes this
Thank you for commenting because I was going to scroll past this.
meeeeeeeeeeee. right now. NOT rested have NOT had beautiful sleep
My favorite thing about being an archer in Skyrim is when the slow motion kill cam follows the arrow and you get to sit back and watch as it just absolutely misses the target.
the great thing about this is that the computer has calculated that the arrow will strike the target as a critical hit, but then when the kill cam engages it changes the physics in game (I think having the arrow be the focal point rather than the player causes the formula to change) and in doing so, it can change the trajectory so dramatically that you miss. I once saved the game and tried the same shot multiple times with kill cam turned on and then off, which proved with perfect correlation that it was the camera itself that was messing up the shot
"frodo did not offer her any tea"
People who never played Morrowind (understandable but sad) really miss out because in Skyrim, Solstheim gets introduced via DLC and its this weird place full of dark elves and gigantic bugs and Lovecraftian horrors and giant mushrooms and etc, but in Morrowind, you start out in the base game in the land of the dark elves and bugs and Lovecraftian horrors and mushrooms, until you get to the Morrowind DLC that introduces Solstheim at which point Solstheim is weird because then you have to take your plague-ridden messiah from the cramped and drug riddled streets of Sewertopia to the freak werewolf island where it constantly snows actual snow and not Accursed Volcano Ash and everything has proto Skyrim aesthetics.
Like what do you mean you have buildings that aren't made out of dead bugs. Where Are the Mushrooms. Why Are You White.
i think people sometimes misunderstand what frodo means when he says "the ring is my burden; it will destroy you, sam" because he's not saying that the ring would only destroy sam, he's saying the ring is already in the process of destroying himself, and there is really no point in letting it destroy both of them. splitting the cost won't save frodo at that point, it can only destroy sam too. it's too late for frodo. but he can keep carrying it alone so that sam can survive unburdened.
I've been replaying Skyrim and Dawnguard's plot progression gets really funny if you think about it for more than 5 seconds
I made Serana fat because it's hot.
