LINES IâVE HEARD THAT ARE RAW AS HELL: A SENTENCE STARTER PACK
âI will face God and walk backwards into Hell.â âPick a god and pray.â âThen perish.â âViolence for violence is the rule of beasts.â âI have been through Hell and come out singing.â âThere are no gods here.â âKiss my ass, you sanctimonious bastard.â âDo I look like the kind of man who dies?â âDo you think God stays in heaven because he too lives in fear of what heâs created here on earth?â âMost monsters are a manifestation of our own fears and inability to accept different cultures we donât understand.â âYou can only learn from pain, the more pain the wiser you become.â âGod, forgive me.â âI am blighted being cursed with sight.â âThis is the age of the expanding man.â âGodâs dead and soon we will be, too.â âI thought there were no heroes left in this world.â âTo become God is the loneliest achievement of them all.â âYou kneel before my throne unaware that it was built on lies.â âImpudent of you to assume I will meet a mortal end.â âPeople who donât fear death are the ones who crave it.â âThis is Hellâs territory and I am beholden to no gods.â âBury me shallow, Iâll be back.â âPerception is truth to those who perceive it as such.â âTake this gift, for the gods surely wonât.â âWhen the weight of the world is on your shoulders, you learn.â âIronic that someone whose purpose it is to restore life would wish death upon themself.â âGod wishes he were me.â âOne day, you will be face to face with whatever saw fit to let you exist in the universe, and you will have to justify the space youâve filled.â âEverything that we know and love is reducible to the absurd amount of chemicals, and there is therefore no intrinsic value in this material universe.â âHypocrite that you are, for you to trust the chemicals in your brain to tell you they are chemicals.â âAll knowledge is ultimately based on that which we cannot prove.â âWill you fight? Or will you perish like a dog?â âYouâre a coward. You always were.â âDeviation from the norm will be punished unless it is exploitable.â
I hate people so much sometimes! My mom takes people into our home, and a select few will just be the biggest assholes!
Villain or Hero Edition:
-âYouâre going to save them and for what? They donât appreciate you!â
-âYou spill your blood for this city/village and for what? So they can never know the name of the man/woman who saved their miserable lives?â
-âHow many times are you going to bleed for them?â
-âArenât you tired yet? Havenât you had enough?â
-âDespair, misery, and chaos. Itâs like air to me. But to watch them suffer is much more entertaining.â
-âLook at their miserable lives and tell me what you see. Theyâre just begging for you to end them.â
-âYouâre conflicted I can see it. You donât want to be the hero but youâre not evil enough to be the villain. So what are you?â
-âYou canât be nothing because you have to be something.â
-âYou canât be nobody you have to be somebody. They need you. Help them.â
-âYouâve shed enough blood. Itâs time to stop. Youâve avenged their deaths enough.â
-âYouâve fought until your face was bloody, your ribs cracked, and your soul broken. How much more can you give to them!â
-âYou wonât be satisfied until your dead.â
-âThis city/village has torn you apart. They donât deserve anymore saving.â
-âYouâd give your soul to them? They wonât ever be satisfied until youâre dead.â
-âYou give and you give and give when is it your turn to take?â
-âYouâll burn this city/village to the ground. Murder its people. And then will you be satisfied?â
-âI canât watch you tear yourself apart anymore for these people.â
-âYouâre cruel.â
-âYouâve been caught. Thereâs nothing more you can do so why are you still fighting?â
-âItâs over. It was a long war filled with countless bodies and bloodshed. So stopâŠitâs over.â
-âI know you. You arenât this terrible person people see you as and made you become. Thereâs still some light within you. I see itâŠâ
-âWhat has the world done to you to make you feel this broken that you feel the need to hurt other people?â
-âYou hurt others because they hurt you.â
-âI can see the torment within you. I can especially tell by the way you mangle the bodies of your enemies.â
-âYou donât owe people anything else.â
-âYouâre like the sun and moon. You can either be the light that guides peoples lives to a better world. Or you can be the moon and darken their world. Or- you can be an eclipse and be a little bit of both good and evil.â
-âWhat do YOU want to become?â
-âYouâre the only one who can give others hope.â
-âIf it wasnât for you weâd all be dead.â
-âThe histories will never know who really saved us because he/she didnât want to be known as a hero.â
-âDonât die for our selfish selves.â
-âYou brought this upon yourself.â
-âYou can either save lives or take them. So which is it? Who will you become?â
-âYou say youâd burn the city/village to the ground. But what happens when youâre standing on a pile of ash and smoke with no subjects to rule?â
-âYour mentor molded you to be a monster.â
-âYour mentor molded you to be a beckon of hope for others.â
-âThey will never bow to you.â
-âYouâre nothing but a usurper from a foreign place to us. We will never call you King/Queen.â
-âYou hide behind a mask all the time and I donât mean the one upon your face.â
-âOf all the things to have happened to you are you still capable of love?â
-âYou were born a villain but you will die a hero.â
-âYou were born a hero but will die a villain.â
-âYouâve changed since we first met. Youâre becoming something I donât recognize anymore.â
-âYouâre no longer a man. Youâre a beast.â
-âGreatness was thrust upon you but you decided not to take it. Why?â
-âWe donât choose these roles they just happen.â
-âI wonât watch you die.â
-âWhat are you fighting for?â
-âFates can be changed thereâs still time.â
-âYour fate isnât set in stone.â
-âThereâs pain in my chest every time I see you in anguish.â
-âYou never meant anything to them. So you turned into the thing they feared the most to leave an impression upon them.â
-âI wish you could see your worth.â
-âYour life is not worth the weight of gold they will pay you for helping them.â
-âI wonât watch you become someone I donât recognize.â
-âI canât even say who are you becoming because I donât even know what you are anymore.
-âWhen they write of your history they will say it began on this day.â
-âYour scars are a reminder of who you were. So never forget who bled for this village/city. Who it was that saved the damned and the good. Who it was that almost died for them. Who it was that became a legend in their eyes. A legend to be remembered a thousand years from now.â

ă BLESS. ăâžș â§.°
Peter stole a quick glance of her. Oh,she definitely looked like sheâd make a great cheerleader. She seemed flexible and athletic enough to pull their witchcraft-like tricks. Orwell, witchcraft to him. How they could just do a pyramid still impressed him.
âYou can approach flirting in various ways. You can be more of a subtle and charming or more of a bold and blunt. Iâm honest kind of the later, because itâs just more to the point. But, either way, flirtingâs super easy. Just talk to them,âhe began to explain. âEverybody enjoys a good joke, so if you know one, definitely tell them. Compliment them, but in like, a not creepy way. Like, since this girlâs an athlete, complimenting her on that would be a great opening start. Ask her about her major and classes. If sheâs taking anything similar, suggest that you guys study together at the library. Always! Offer! To! Bring! Her! Coffee! Or! Tea!â He heavily emphasized the last part.Â
âȘïž ââ â I think Iâd go the subtle and charming route. Mostly âcause I feel like I can bail out at any time and it looks⊠natural, you know? â
Her arms reside along the desk as folded legs hold her slanted form upright. â Jokes, huh⊠man, Iâm⊠startlingly sarcastic. I think mine would be kinda self-deprecating, and I knooow thatâs not the way to go. Especially if done in excess. Iâd just look depressed. I mean. I am depressed, but I donât wanna show that, you know? Thatâs why I work here. Nothing like being surrounded by flora to kinda lift your spirits. â
A hand drags down her face. â Oversharing. My bad. Anyway, thatâs kinda my prob. I gotta not do that. But I can definitely do compliments. I just like to know people are having a nice day, and if they are, or if theyâre not, a compliment always helps someone feel good. Iâll definitely go with the studying â I hate to like, gloat, but ooh, I am really good at my electives. Like, cheating good. But hers? Ugh, theyâre completely foreign to me. I bet sheâd love to gush, uuughâŠ
âOoof. Iâm talking sooo much, Iâm sorry! You wanna like, hang later? After my shift ends? I donât wanna take up your precious time or nothinâ. â
The way she talked about this crush was adorable. He just knew that they'd already be a great match, and he couldn't help but smile warmly over it.
âYeah! I can hang out later and help more!â he agreed. âI probably shouldn't eat so much of your time at work too.â Bosses tended to be really moody if they were kept too much by employees. Employment in this place was weird and odd.
He glanced around, and he picked up an old receipt somebody had carelessly tossed onto the counter. Peter plucked one of the pens meant for signing for purchases from the counter, and he began to jot down his name and number.
âIf you wanna get in contact and set up a hang out!â he told her, handing it to her. âYou're also legally obligated to go on a double date with me whenever you charm your way with your future girlfriend!â

Huh, polite at least.
Without hesitating, she shakes his hand. Rather enthusiastically too, before introducing herself properly. âThe nameâs Elana.â
âYouâre a healer? Interesting strain of magic. Not one I ever really got into.â Mostly because she was more attracted to the flashier magics. Hence a love of evocation and transmutation. âBit of an underrated school though. Not much of an academic scene around it where Iâm from.â
âAs of yet the only contribution to academia has been a paper on incorporating carbon in a crystalline iron structure. Basically making steel with magic.â She shrugs. âProbably wonât be doing any more of that. My current profession isnât really a widely available one. I actually think it may even be somewhat unique.â
âHealingâs the only real strain of magic I can properly perform, and I canât really apply it to other people as well as Iâd like to,â Peter explained. Once the handshake ended, he held up his hand. He had a very faint purple glow to it, showing off the weak magic that he did have. âItâsâŠnot very strong.â Mainly because he never practiced it. Ever. Even with his momâs nagging to do his lessons. âI have to rely on other abilities to do anything cool.â Phoenix stuff was much, much cooler.
âIs all the traveling part of your profession?â he wondered. It made sense to him. âAre you kind of like a multiverse sociologist of sorts then?â He couldnât think of a less available profession than that.
Seems to me like magic in this world is much like sorcery in ours. He produces his own and shapes it.
A fairly safe hypothesis. But it could well be whatâs going on. Weâll have to track down some of the academic literature on the topic to say for definite.
Just be sure to remember about late fees this time. We donât want a repeat of last time.
I mean we returned it to a version of that libraryâŠ
âInteresting how you donât seem to require verbal or somatic components to perfect that. Is that normal?â Probably a little bit too much jargon there. But it was the only way she could really get her head around asking.
âBut yeah, I guess thatâs one way to describe our profession. I like to think of us as multiverse archivists. Travelling worlds to meet and learn of new things. Though I like to think of us as simple travellers. Some would even hazard to call us experts on the Void too. Our knowledge on that is⊠well unrivalled.â She smiles. Giving off the appearance of a mere tourist in spite of being apparently so much more than that.
âYeah, magic's very energy based. No spells like in Harry Putter,â he assured her. Wait, was it Harry Putter or Harry Potter? He couldn't remember. âMy mom said that it really helps to use words when you're first starting out, because it helps direct your focus, but it's never really required. More of a mental crutch for beginners.â He was not about to admit that he needed the mental crutch himself. It was such a kid thing.
âOh! That's so cool!â Peter's eyes practically shone in excitement as he nearly began to bounce. âWhat's the most interesting thing you've ever archived? Or most dangerous!â
pariahphoenixâ:
âThe reskin looks really nice, and matches so well. Your permanent guy did a great job, keep going to him,â Peter admired. He was still curious as to the brand, if it was a familiar one. It looked so much colorful than anything he was used to seeing, but then again, a lot of people seemed to personalize their technology with cases and paint jobs once they got it. âIs the reskin a cosmetic custom job?â
đ }} âThanks.â A faint blush creeped across Avâs face against their will.âYeah, Iâm planning on it.â Unfortunately for Peter, there wasnât really an easy way to answer that question. The things Keyphase sold and delivered werenât the same as the ones they put in their employees. Sure, that might have been disingenuous, but they had their reasons. Some of that stuff probably shouldnât just be handed out to the public, Averill figured.Â
âMm, yeah. I donât know what they looked like when they were first made, but I assume they were just grey.â Well, actually, there was a good chance Hidayat just straight up made them in that color, but theyâd never bothered to ask.
âOne of my friends has a custom arm, but she never painted it. She keeps it in itâs factor colors,â Peter began. âIâd love to see her paint it, or take it somewhere to get painted, but she likes the gray and silver. It looks kinda boring, itâd look so good if it just had more color. Sometimes sheâll paint it temporarily for parties, but Iâve also seen people engrave tattoos. My mom has some engraved, it looks super cool. Have you ever thought about that? With all the color, you could have some really cool engraved designs!â
pariahphoenixâ:
It was absolutely not at all unusual to encounter strangers outside of town on Thanatos, especially these days. Desperate groups were coming in what felt like daily hoards seeking a new home, and his mom, in his opinion an absolute overly-empathetic fool, would take in every single one. Peter encountered them all the time while wandering around. They were normally walking aimlessly in desperate search of the main city, either frozen or dying of heat stroke depending on where they were coming from. Where he was, heâd be finding half-frozen wanderers.
It was an entirely different story for somebody to, quite literally, drop in so close to him from seemingly nowhere. Within moments, had his gun out and pointed. It didnât take long to register that nobody was actually shooting him or anything of the sort, and he quickly lowered his weapon, putting a hand to his chest. That scared the shit out of him.
âHey,â he called out, a bit breathless from the shock. âAre you looking for the city?â Much as heâd like to just walk away, his mom would kill him if he let a refugee just out in the cold like this.
Oh jesus that landing managed to knock the wind out of him. Fucking hell that hurt. The next time he gets the brilliant idea to use his unpredictable (and currently rather uncontrollable) powers to make a portal instead of using his portal gun, someone needs to stop him.
âUghâŠfuckâŠâ Tony wheezed, needing a moment to recover.Â
âIâm looking for somewhereâŠâ He mumbled, finally managing to sit up. âWhere am I exactly?â
This sure as hell didnât look like the questionable abandoned parking lot he had agreed to meet his contact at. Maybe that was a good thing, in all honesty. One look around and yeahâŠhe was definitely not where he should be.
âThanatos, near New Australia,â Peter replied, his breath still a tad shaky from the surprise. He had his gun put back away, and he strolled over a few steps to be closer.
This guy? He had no idea who he was. But there was billions of sentient life around, and it was definitely not unusual for complete strangers to drop in. Though not quite so literally. He didn't look quite dangerous. Maybe he was just? Thrown from a passing ship or something? Not out of the question. He seen it happen before. Though those who were typically tossed rarely turned up...alive and also not-on-fire.
Peter briefly scanned him over. Nothing about him seemed to raise any alarm flags. He offered out a hand to help him up, though obviously a bit reluctant. His mom would know, he always knew, if Peter just left somebody out in the wild weather to die instead of guiding them back to the city.Â
âWhere did you come from?â

âFiiine, Iâll drink a LITTLE bit of water.â Mavis mumbled out, grabbing hold of the bottle. She took a big swig of it before setting it back down. Then she downed another shot. Her cheeks were flushed from all the alcohol and though sheâs probably never even met this person before⊠nodded. âAw, âm glad I did! This is a blast, we should do this more often!â
âTrust me, it-it definitely helps with hangovers,â he assured her. Not one to be that much of a hypocrite, he opened the other and chugged over half of it. He didn't immediately reach for another shot. Not just yet. His eyes were a bit bloodshot, and he had been drinking most of the night, but he didn't want to black out too early. âWe doooo. I love hanging out with you, you're-you're definitely like my best friend.â Despite this tiny girl not even being close to resembling friend, he was still absolutely convinced that it was.
He probably had drunk more than he thought.
@pariahphoenix wanted a lyric starter!
âOkay, okay! So itâs salt, then lime, and THEN shot!â Mavis downed another tequila shot, unsure of how many sheâd already had. By this point, it was clear to say that she was pretty darn plastered. She shouldnât have come to this bar, especially since she had a FAKE I.D., but she always made bad decisions.
âYou're doing, you're doing so good,â Peter managed to slur out as he sat down near her. Despite his intoxication, he managed to bring a small tray of shots and water without spilling any of the shots. âJust don't forget to drink some water, trust me, I-I do this a bit too much, man.â He scooted a bottle of water towards her before picking up one of the shots to quickly down. âI can't believe I finally convinced you to come with me.â He had drunk enough to completely forget that he had gone out to get a new fake ID and to the bar alone.
//Finally added my ThreadTracker to my rules page and as the new final link in my main blog. It should be also accessible if youâre viewing on mobile tumblr.

The lack of laser shooting was admittedly a bit disappointing. He had always wanted to see that in action.
âDo you want to eventually get them though?â he questioned. Peter couldnât imagine how youâd wouldnât want laser eye beams. âDid you get all of yours at the same place?â His eyes scanned over the otherâs visible pieces. Some of them looked very similar to brands he knew very well, others were foreign. But thatâs to be expected when traveling to different places, and he couldnât help but wonder what kind of brands were even offered here.
đ }} They laughed. âUm, I dunno, I feel like that could turn into kind of a disaster. Itâs cool in theory, but Iâd rather go for something easier to control.â Averill looked down at the synthetic cuff around their wrist. âNot initially. I got âem here and there at first, but I have a permanent, er, guy now. Gutted and fixed everything up, then reskinned them to match.â Theyâd always tried to get designs that worked well together, but they considered it much better when they were synced up inside and out. Looked better and felt better, too.
âThe reskin looks really nice, and matches so well. Your permanent guy did a great job, keep going to him,â Peter admired. He was still curious as to the brand, if it was a familiar one.
