It’s been more than a year and a half since Hurricane Sandy hit the Rockaways, and the beach and those who love it have moved far past the disaster.

The last time you surfed.

It’s August. Normally, I should be surfing somewhere, in south-western France or in England but I just graduated and got my first job so life is taking over my love of surfing -- for the moment.

Now that I think of it, the last time I surfed was in New York City, in Rockaway Beach, exactly one year ago. I’m gonna upload some of the footage I got that day by the way.
