Dalton looked up to the boy in confusion before picking up the remaining contents from the floor. “What do you mean?”
“I mean I..I tend to bump into people a lot.” He nodded as the two stood up.

Dalton looked up to the boy in confusion before picking up the remaining contents from the floor. “What do you mean?”
“I mean I..I tend to bump into people a lot.” He nodded as the two stood up.
Dalton slammed his locker closed and sighed before punching it multiple times. He shut his eyes after he grew tired but swung around on his heels to walk away. Suddenly Dalton had turned and walk straight into someone, knocking whatever was in their hand onto the floor “I’m so sorry,” He apologised, not looking to see who the person was before kneeling down to pick up their belongings.
“It..it’s okay..this..this seems to happen to me a a lot.” Parker replied and knelt down to pick up his belongings.
“What!?” His cheeks instantly went red. “No..no she hasn’t I..” He chewed his lip innocently.
Really? Who is she looking at then, the P.E. teacher behind us?
“W..well maybe I don’t know..Vasper stop!” He gently shoved her and covered his blushing cheeks.
You know you could easily fix that by talking to the people around you. That girl over there has been checking you out for the past two days.
“What!?” His cheeks instantly went red. “No..no she hasn’t I..” He chewed his lip innocently.
“Hey, yeah, I completely get that. Honestly, I was kinda thinking the same thing. Do you wanna go do something else?”
“What can we do? I mean they haven’t exactly let us out yet..”
“Thanks for making me feel like nothing,” she said with a chuckle. “I just want to go home and sleep in my bed.”
“You know you’re not included in that Ari, you’re family!” He nodded.
“I’m just ready to get out of here and go home. I mean I don’t really..know most of you so I’ve literally just been..sat here by myself the whole time..”
“No, no. I totally understand. My parents worry quite a bit too. Obviously they have reason to with when my sister was missing for that little bit but, yeah..” She trailed off. “Do you need to call your mom or something? Someone around us must have cell service, they may let you borrow their phone if your or mine doesn’t have any.” She smiled before nodding when he asked for the water. She turned around and grabbed her water bottle out of her back pack before turning around and holding it out to the boy. “Here you go. Drink as much of it as you, sweetheart.”
“I just..want to know what’s going on.” He nodded and took the water. He placed the pill into his mouth and chased it with the water. “Thank you.” He said handing the water bottle back to her. “I’m..Parker by the way, we haven’t..actually talked before..” He said actually introducing himself. He was usually just the quiet one in class, the loner. He was only the way he was because he was scared of making friends since all his previous ones abandoned him when he needed them most.
“Y..yeah just..m..my heart is racing right now.” He nodded trying to calm himself. He didn’t know how much the girl knew about him since his secret was revealed at Halloween but he didn’t really like to talk about it. “It..it hurts..sometimes.” He nodded and looked over at her. “Do we stay here o..or do you think w..we’ll be able to go home?”
“Well, do you want some water? I have a water bottle in my backpack,” she said nodded her head back towards her backpack. “Just, also, deep breaths. In and out, slowly,” she said patting the boy’s arm gently and slowly. “Umm..” Alice looked around the room, seeing that everyone was still in the floor under their desks. “I’m not really sure. I think the teacher will tell us when we’re able to leave though?”
Parker shook his head turning down the water. “N..no..thanks though.” He nodded. He tried to take in deep breaths. “I hope they let us go..m..my mom will be worried about me..” He said then regretted it making him sound super lame. “I mean...parents..you know?” he said trying to justify himself. “A..actually do you think..I could just..h..have a sip?” He asked for the water and went into his own bag to grab an anti-anxiety med to calm himself.
Alice nodded, “Of course I’m okay. I was a little bit scared, if I’m being completely honest. But, I’m good. No physical harm done to me and it seems like it’s done for now so no need to be scared any more,” she said with a smile. She looked over at the boy with a tilt of her head. “But, hey, are you sure you’re okay?” She looked around to see if the teacher was anywhere around. Even though the shaking of the earthquake had stopped, she was sure that they would still be expected to stay under their desks until further notice in case of any more movement. When she saw that the teacher wouldn’t be able to see her, she scooted over closer to the boy, placing her hand gently on his arm. “You seem a bit shaken up still.”
As Alice was in her English class, she began to feel what seemed to be the floor shaking ever so slightly. She just shook it off, thinking it was her own legs doing the shaking, something that they did often before they fell asleep. So, she began to move them around to try to wake them up but, before she knew it, the whole room was shaking and everyone started to freak out. She did as all the years of earthquake drills in school had drilled into her head and crouched under her desk, tucking her head as close to her chest as she could. After the shaking seemed to subdue, she looked over at the boy who sat next to her, Parker she believed his name to be and gave him a small smile. “That was a bit scary wasn’t it? But, look, we’re all okay. That’s good, right?”
“I..I..y..yeah.” he nodded. He was awkward talking to people to begin with and now add in he was in a state of panic. “A..are you okay?” He asked. His mind now went to his family and if Aria and Dallas were okay.
Parker was in his English class when he started to feel a light ‘buzzing’ at his feet. He looked around curiously wondering if he was the only one. Suddenly, the room began to shake and everyone was in a panic. He crouched down and got under his desk to shield himself from the falling debris. The earthquake lasted what felt like minutes. Heart racing he crawled out from under his desk and looked around.
Mackenzie faced where the sirens were heard from “Maybe we’ll let the professionals do it,” She forced a small smile.
“Yeah.” He nodded as the ambulance pulled up and rushed over to him asking him a bunch of questions then ushered him to the ambulance to clean his wound and determine if he needed stitches.
Mackenzie stood there silently. Several people asking if she was in the crash or if she was going into the ambulance with the boy. “Uh, depends on him. But my cars right there,” She pointed towards it.
“You..you don’t have to come, really. I don’t want to interrupt your plans or anything.”
“Okay” he said sitting up but feeling light headed when he did. “Nope back down” he said laying down again"
The corner of the boy’s lips turned up slightly before falling back into place. “I told you, buddy,” he said, shrugging. “Where were you heading off to anyways?”
"My.." He looked around. "My follow up for my heart" he looked at Alec. "And im gonna miss it now" he was obviously worried about this.
“But i’m okay. Can i at least get up?” He asked still laying in the middle of the street.
“I honestly don’t think you should —but if you feel like you can, then I can’t stop you,” he said softly, biting the inside of his cheek.
"Okay" he said sitting up but feeling light headed when he did. "Nope back down" he said laying down again"
“No I..I feel okay..think it’s just my head” he nodded. “Is the other person alright?” he asked. He hadn’t seen the other driver get out of the car or anything, or maybe the fled the scene, he wasn’t sure.
“You shouldn’t move your head so much then,” Alec said, his frown deepening. “They’re fine —just a couple cuts and bruises, I think. But your main concern is to stay awake until the ambulance get here.”
"But i'm okay. Can i at least get up?" He asked still laying in the middle of the street.
“But..but I feel okay?” He said trying to get up. “What..how did..”He was trying to process and make sense of the situation. He hadn’t seen the other car come out of nowhere. Next thing he knew he was laying on the cement in the middle of the street.
“You’re not just saying that, are you?” Alec questioned, narrowing his eyes slightly. He turned his gaze to the other car, which was just as damaged as Parker’s from the looks of it. “I don’t even know. I came out of the gym right as that car collided with your’s.”
“No I..I feel okay..think it’s just my head” he nodded. “Is the other person alright?” he asked. He hadn’t seen the other driver get out of the car or anything, or maybe the fled the scene, he wasn’t sure.
