Jesse looked at Parker and nodded his head once they mentioned that he was a client. “I did other things before settling on becoming a cop,” the office answered, giving Parker a small smile as the words fell through his lips. “Becoming a cop helped me change my life around, put me on the right path,”.

A knowing smile back at the man as they nodded. “Went straight, did you?” Was it possible for a question like that, with all its alternative implications, to not come off as an innuendo in a place like this?

“Beer guts aren’t for me either. I’m going to try and refrain from having one as long as possible.” Jesse wasn’t as fit as a fiddle, but he worked out and try to be as healthy as possible. His body was sculpted with abs, but he was muscular in the right places. “I do really believe in having a diverse community, and more diverse people in the roles I’m in,” he confessed. “It’s not something I’m asked to say.  It should be the way people think normally, and are not trained to say,” he admitted. “But I see where your coming from, but yeah - I don’t agree with shit I have seen some cops do, or not do.”

For a moment, Parker was quiet, evaluating him with that skeptical gaze. Then they relented, nodding. “Good,” they said, breaking out in a grin. “Then I guess we won’t have a problem on that front.” Readjusting the towel wrapped around them, they leaned forward to add a little more water to the stones. “You’re a client, yeah? Didn’t realize cops paid so well.”

“You carry yourself like one,” they explained with a shrug. Hard to put it in to words exactly, but it was the self assurance and air of authority. Not unlike a military officer. Couldn’t be military, though, not with that haircut. “If the stereotypical cop looked like you, I’d have either joined the force myself or wound up in jail.”

Jesse was surprised to hear that he carried himself like a cop. He probably didn’t pick up on how he acted, or how other’s perceived him. It wasn’t something he thought in depth about. The blonde looked at the other and smirked at their admission. “I work in a team with mostly old guys. Forty and up,” he confessed to the other. “Don’t get me wrong, I like the majority of them but I do enjoy diversity, I think it’s needed nowadays more than ever.”

“And that’s why I’m free today. Beer guts aren’t my thing.” Which seemed a requisite for cops past that initial ‘fresh, baby faced academy graduate’ state. How long until this guy got his standard issued? Raising an eyebrow at the statement, Parker shifted in their seat. “Big on diversity or is that just what the latest sensitivity training taught you to say?” Yeah, they were a touch skeptical. Experience had taught them to be wary of those spouting ideals of diversity in blue unprompted.

“yeah, one second later you might’ve lost the hand.” elena joked. “but don’t worry, i’m sure you will make a full and speedy recovery.” she added. elena from a young age knew that she wanted to be a doctor, and she was happy to be able to work as a medic while going though med school since she saw what she was learning in first person.

“You really are my savior, then.” That coudl have been the end of it, they could have rolled their shoulders back and headed back to work, but they had at least another fifteen minutes before they’d be expected to get back to it. “If I start experiencing any more troubles with it, though, can I come see you about it?”

hope was still getting adjusted to city life, coming from a small down made living in los angeles a lot to get use to, but hope was really enjoying it. she was able to see things that she never did before and didn’t have to worry about all the judgement people went through in a tiny town where everyone knew everyone and everything about everyone. she went over to the sauna and was surprised to see someone else there. “ummm.. do i add it here?” she asked them.

“Yeah, just like that,” Parker nodded, giving her an encouraging, if a bit lazy, smile. “Just tip the water over it—careful, it will steam up a lot right away. First time?” A bit playfully teasing, but far from unkind, and some sincerity to the question. She seemed uncertain of herself. “Shouldn’t stay in too long. A little while is good for you, but too long and you might get dehydrated and pass out.” There was a warning sign about that outside, but who really read that shit?

In general, Parker is more adventurous and extreme in sex when not taking the lead. From a dominant position, they’re interested in rough sex and sensation play, will leave bruises and bite marks on a partner, pull hair and scratch them up, but they don’t have the interest in causing the sort of pain they like to receive. Blindfolds and mild restraints might be involved, but tend more toward sensuality overall when they're taking the lead.

In a more submissive role, they go much more violent and aggressive. They will fight back, not in a bratty way but needing to be reassured that someone strong is taking care of them, testing the boundaries to know where they are as a comforting structure, and also in a sort of test to make sure the person they’re dealing with is worthy of that submission. Impact play is huge for them, and they prefer their pain to be heavy rather than sharp, thudding rather than stinging. Give them orders, enforce discipline, put restrictions on eye contact -- not in a way meant to degrade or humiliate, but to provide order and a space where they don't have to think or be in control. Parker kneeling, head down, before someone they respect and feel respected by is something incredibly intimate and special for them.

In more equal power dynamics, there’s still that edge of combative aggressiveness. A half-real fight turned into fucking, giving as good as they get, challenging and being challenged in something that range from playful to genuine animosity. Parker is not opposed to a good old hate-fuck.

There are a couple kinks they might want to explore but which are decidedly not casual. These would not be done with random, fling partners, and would require trust and safety with the partner before hand and outside of sex as well. This would collide squarely with legitimate traumas they have experienced and if handled flippantly would end very badly. Conversely, handled well it could be very cathartic. It should be noted generally that anyone wearing a military uniform as a costume or without respect will not have a happy ending, in or out of a sexual situation, as far as Parker is involved.

“it’s really nice to meet you parker, i’m elena.” she introduced herself with a sweet smile. when they handed their hand over elena went through her medical bag and pulled out some antiseptic and bandages and cleaned their hand and bandaged it up for them. “i have so good news, i think you will live.” she teased with a giggle. elena tried to always keep a positive mood since she knew it would be better in every situation.

Elena. A sweet name too. Parker watched them work and noted that they were good too. Bandaging up a busted hand might seem like a simple thing, but it was easy to fuck up. Trying her fingers, flexing them, she confirmed that Elan definitely hadn’t fucked it up. “Bit touch and go there for a moment though, doc?” they teased back. Another flex of their fingers before they gave a satisfied nod. “Thank you.”

Some people saw it as a positive, other people saw it as a negative.  He found it difficult not to open his mouth when in a room with someone else. Jesse relaxed in the sauna sighing softly as he went into a relaxed state. He sat up a little once the other mentioned his working role. “I am indeed,” he admitted. “How did you know?” He asked. “Do I look like a stereotypical cop?”

Jesse wasn’t expecting anyone to be in the sauna, and had expected it to be empty when he walked into there. The voice from inside unsettled him at first until he saw where the voice was coming from. Jesse walked further into the room and offered the other a small smile, not knowing if they noticed him as their eyes were barely cracked on. “Thanks. I might add some more water to the stones. I feel like shit, but nothing that a little steam shouldn’t help,” he confessed. Jesse made his way over to where their water and stones were, and did as he mentioned. He made himself comfortable once he was happy with how the room was feeling. “How long have you been in here? I was expecting it to be empty when I came in. I come here every few nights after my shifts to try and ease some tensions I’m feelings,”.

Letting out a contented sigh as the water sizzled over the stones into a fresh plume of steam, Parker rolled their head on their shoulders, feeling some knots melt away. “ ‘bought ten minutes, maybe?” they said, opening their eyes all the way. Apparently they were in for a bit of chattiness. They could deal with that. Gaze took in the man, appreciative and admiring. “I get that. Helps me relax, wind down.” A second look before they said, “Cop?”

Working at Ecstasy came with lots of perks; even ones that went beyond the extremely attractive work mates. The one Parker appreciated most might be access to the sauna. They didn’t need the use of the fancy gym, they’d made due with a lot less than even the grubbiest options for working out in LA, but the sauna was an indulgence they wouldn’t soon disavow. Post shift, the ache in their bones at an all time high, a half hour in the steam could work miracles to settling them. Lounging on the bench, the requisite towel wrapped around them, they barely cracked an eye open then some one else came. “Ladle’s over there,” they said with a gesture. “Feel free to add more water to the stones.”

“this might come as a surprise, but everyone is important when it comes to proper health.” she said with a smile to them. elena wanted to be a doctor to help people, not make money from it. so she would give the right help to everyone no matter if they were a level one client or three or employee. “let me take a look at it, please?” she asked them with a kind smile.

Sweet. Sweet face, sweet attitude, sweet smile. “If I do, will you tell me your name?” was their counter, already hading over the hand in question. Don’t be rude to the medics, ever. They could hold your life in their hands one day, and pissing them off was a bad idea. Perhaps a bit dramatic and overblown for the staff room of a fancy club, but it didn’t cost them anything and might get them more of that sugar. “I’m Parker. You must be new.”

working at ecstasy helped for elena pay for college and now that she was in med school it was helping with that. because of her job she was able to take out minimalistic loans to help her finish her education. and she recently she got a job as an on-site medic since she was in medical school and could help with some of the injuries that happen at the club and hotel, and also tell when someone needs to go to the hospital. she got a call that she was needed at the club. “are you okay? i was called here that someone needed medical help.” she said.

“I’m fine,” Parker ground out through gritted teeth. They were no worse off than they usually were, they’d swear, the split skin on their knuckles and cut on their brow be damned. The asshole they’d been carting out had got a couple lucky blows in, that was all. They blamed the shot they’d had mid shift, trying to tide themselves over until they could get to their painkillers in their locker. It had made them a bit sloppy. Bad look when on duty. “Just give me some antiseptic, I can take care of it myself. Sure you’ve got more important things and more important people to tend to.” They added a flash of a smile at the end of it. What, a pretty girl was never something to turn down.

To be fair, her lungs were at stake as well. Rory figured a little secondhand smoke couldn’t kill her. But she’s not about to stop anyone from living their best life; regardless of what it does to them. She too should behave with more caution than foolishly downing alcohol on this roof. Except she can’t be bothered with that. She’s always had to keep it together for everyone. She deserved to be mildly reckless. “That’s deep, dude,” Rory nodded, took another burning swig. “Family or partner?” Since they’re the ones that fuck you up the most.

Parker considered the question for a second, blowing smoke out towards the city to join the rest of the cloying smog that would kill them all one day anyway. “Family,” the settled on at last. Because that’s what they’d been. A screwed up family forged in trauma and blood, and maybe they’d all fucked more than once or twice, and if you thought too hard about the metaphor that might get a bit incestuous, but end of the day, partners left, family you were stuck with for better or worse. At least until they died and you were stuck with their ghosts.

The other answer was a whole god damn world, but no one was drunk enough for that philosophical shit. Holding their hand out for the bottle, they quirked their fingers in a silent demand. Hey, it was their bottle, boss or not.

Rory chuckled to herself, amused by the term. It was one that wasn’t often used while directed at her. A lady was her mother. Her Abuela was a beautiful lady. But a lady was indeed not Rory; however, she accepted it all the same. “It’s your life and your lungs.” The shrug showed that she was indifferent about it. “Why thank you,” she replied, taking the bottle. In a purposely contradictive act, she tossed the bottle back and took a big gulp of it. The burn always caught her by surprise. She somehow kept that to herself. “Good stuff. If you like this, you should try this Mezcal I brought back from Mexico City. It’ll burn a hole in your soul.” And esophagus.

An appreciative shrug as they pulled the pack out from their coat pocket, plucking one out and lighting it up. Yeah, their life and lungs, whatever either of those were worth. A smile crept on to their face as they watched the woman take a hearty swig. “Yeah?” they drawled smoothly, leaning against the low wall at the edge of the roof. Maybe they ought to be scared of the drop below but, eh. No use worrying. “And what does it do if there’s nothing left to burn, huh?”

Rory could see the wheels turning, watching them debate with themself. She wasn’t daft by any means. Certainly not enough to not grasp why this could be an awkward situation for them. Much to her delight, they didn’t bounce. “You can keep the cigarettes and light for yourself, but that tequila… you’re sharing.” Rory arms crossed as she eyed them, predictability rising. Cliché wasn’t far behind either. “Well? I’m not going to bite,” she quipped, an ‘unless you want me to’ nipped in the bud.

A smile that was at least 30% smirk as they twisted open the bottle, offering it to the woman. “Ladies first,” they said, because it was polite and the sentiment was true even if Rory Flores was not perhaps a polite lady in the traditional sense of the word. (Parker and tradition had always been a bit at odds anyway. “Do you mind if I smoke?” they asked after handing off the bottle, again because it was polite, and being polite to one’s boss’s boss’s sister was wise.

The city came to life beneath her as she peered over the ledge. Cars sped by without a shred of consideration for anyone else. People bickered. They were loud and drunk. It was a typical night in Los Angeles, a place that she finally started calling home. It was a damn shame that the lights crowded her view of the sky. She could imagine that the stars beautifully painted it. Still, she’d accept this place of solitude as a consolation prize. When the door to the stairs came ajar, she immediately walked that thought back. “If you didn’t come bearing wine, you might as well turn around and head inside,” she joked, nose crinkling as she smiled.

Parker paused, wondering if they really ought to turn back around. Even if it was said as a joke, this was the boss -- maybe not of the club, so not directly over them, but still damn near close. Did they really want to be tangling with that high up’s of a refuge? A small shrug to themselves as they let the door close behind them. “A couple packs of cigarettes and a bottle of tequila fair exchange?” they asked, lifting said bottle. “Can even throw in a light if you want.”
