In which Chrissy leaves her boring, controlling fiancé, Jason, on the eve of their wedding and heads to Rome in search of Steve Harrington, the man a Ouija board and a fortune teller once claimed was her soulmate. Instead, she meets Eddie, who is in vacation in Italy after a mini tour with his band. He introduces himself as the man prophesied by the cards, and the two share a perfect romantic night. That is, until Chrissy discovers that Eddie is not who he claimed to be. To apologize (and to show Chrissy that he’s the one she should be with), Eddie offers to help her find the real Steve. Cue hot kisses against beautiful landscapes and Chrissy wearing fabulous dresses as she tries to decide what she wants to do with her love life (while Eddie is completely head over heels and ready to follow this woman to the ends of the Earth).

Bonus:

Chrissy, a romantic, clung to the “prophecy” as a fantasy escape from a terrible family life (she uses the first excuse to escape the wedding to Jason)

One of Chrissy’s friends manipulated the Ouija board to spell out Steve’s name and then paid a fortune teller to repeat the story as a prank — she just forgot to tell the truth afterward

Eddie hires his old pal Billy to pretend to be Steve and disappoint Chrissy (bad move)

Vickie accompanies Chrissy on the trip because she’s upset with her girlfriend, Robin, and feels their relationship is dead (meanwhile, Robin is fighting for her life to get to Rome and win her girl back)

The real Steve, completely oblivious to the confusion surrounding his name, staring in shock at these two clearly-in-love lunatics when they finally find him
