Concept: Clairvoyants with "mundane", interpersonal premonitions
• Clairvoyants greeting someone new with a brilliant smile and a completely artless: "You don't know me yet, but we're best friends."
• Clairvoyants getting more frequent and more detailed premonitions the more they grow to care for someone.
• Clairvoyants desperately avoiding to give their loved ones dating advice, because it never ever helps.
• Clairvoyants fighting tooth and nail not to stop trusting a friend just because they've had a premonition of the two of them falling out.
• Clairvoyants messing up and saying "say hi to the kids from me" to a friend who has barely started to think about whether their new partner is parent material.
• Clairvoyants getting all up in their head every time they're with someone because they know they're gonna end up loving this person, and they know exactly how it will feel, but they aren't there yet.
• Clairvoyants!!

We got home super late from seeing Wicked and I desperately needed a snack. I hate going to bed hungry. I procured a nighttime pickle and took a bite. As I was putting the jar back I saw my beloved had cut up a peach for me that I hadn’t seen this morning.
With delight I switched to eating the peach, setting my pickle aside for the moment. Pickles and peaches are evidently a pretty weird mouth combination.
My beloved came up for a kiss and recoiled from my “freak boy mouth.”
“I’m your wife!” I protested.
“My wife with a freak boy mouth,” they crooned with love.

To be fair to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, if I wrote some pulp short stories for a quick buck and an obsessive fandom sprung up around it at a time when fandom culture as we now know it didn't really exist yet, and I had to witness people being insane about my characters while having very little precedent for what the fuck was going on, I would also be confused and frightened and desperately trying to escape from the situation I'd ended up in.
