I love
Despite tonightâs events, Drogon is still my giant magical baby and he deserves to live and fly away into the sky and live a long dragon life
Iâm resigned to the fact that theyâll kill Dany next week but if they kill Drogon too I will riot
I donât want him to die either. I would rather he flies back to where he was when he first ran off on his own.
But, I can also see them having Jon kill him, since heâs a Targaryen he might be fireproof enough to survive an attack and hurt him.Â
I think a lot of people are mad this season because some plotlines were hella rushed and questionable. Dany went full blown mad in like 2 epsiodes, the Night King died too fast, Jaimeâs character arc seemed pointless, Jon and Tyrion are mad dumb etc.
Iâm not saying this wouldâve solved everything, but if S7-8 had more episodes some things could have been explained better. Like Danyâs descent into madness and at least a bigger payoff with the Night King Saga.
Iâm so sad people arenât as happy with this season as compared to previous ones (me included).
I 110% feel like this is the real issue.
And itâs not just for this season. They should have had a season last year so things wouldnât have to be so cramped.
Cause I get the feeling if things were spread out and story told differently that people would react differently.
Everything is jammed together and people are going through a massive emotional frenzy in a way is upsetting and causing distress.
Based on peopleâs predictions and their feelings towards what they thought was going to happen. I guarantee if things went how many people are saying they wanted, folks would still be up in arms.
The show is ending and everyone has their idea of what they want as well as a million possibilities of what âcould haveâ happened. Itâs causing some upstir.
Got is a tv series and with this short seasons, itâs a tv show following movie format and itâs causing problems.
Tv shows can develop characters and storylines better, movies require you to do a lot of fill in the blanks and make assumptions. Movies also tend to narrow things down to good and bad rather than super ambiguous characters, cause they donât have time to display everything.

Bonus:
This show destroyed a great female character (Dany) to prop up a white man (Jon). You really should blame d&d for their shitty writing and not Dany.
Anon, no, this isnât a destruction of Daenerysâ character, her trajectory for eight seasons was leading here, itâs just that in season 8, the show didnât hide her behind a white saviour arc and thatâs what you guys canât handle. Up until now, the only characters that challenged Daenerys were slavers and so her burning them alive and refusing to negotiate with them and killing the nobility in Meereen was seen as her âbreaking the wheelâ and taken at face value particularly since D&D and co didnât give the citizens any voices or any real agency to contest her, they simply followed her mindlessly, and you guys didnât care that she didnât try to learn about customs and cultures and traditions, you guys didnât care that she didnât talk to the people who actually lived in Meereen about how to rule the city, but now that sheâs in the North/Westeros with characters who have agency and voices, with characters who challenge her, sheâs doing what sheâs always done, acting the way she always did, and suddenly youâre all like, her character is ruined. No, sheâs just not framed as the benevolent white saviour anymore, thatâs literally the only difference.
I like Dany and I enjoyed her characterâŠ.and I still enjoy her character. But, Iâm also a morbid person and my viewpoints of how I watch tv is often very different from the average person.
If dany died while taking out cersei in a noble heroic way and jon gets the throneâŠpeople would be pissed.
If she powered through and defeated her and got the throneâŠpeople would still be pissed.
They have her âgoing madâ with all sheâs lost and very little gained. People are pissed.
You canât please all the people all the timeâŠit is what it is.
And, i agree dany has come across many people loving her and siding with her. Like she said this episodeâŠshe has NO LOVE there.Â
Went she first went to Kingâs Landing to show Cersei proof of the NK she could have easily taken her out there with very little bloodshed, but she chose not to for JonâŠAs she told Sansa to fight his war.
And after helping him fight what has happenedâŠshe lost 2 Dragons, a large portion of her army, her bestie, and Jonâs romantic love for her, and Jorah.
She didnât take out the NK Arya did, so she didnât gain the respect from the Northerners in the way sheâd hoped.
I think the main problem is that the writers didnât show it obviously that Dany wasnât a perfect superhero to those that saw her that way.
I think the bigger problem here is that people are talking about Dany as âmadâ because she sacked one city. She sacked one (1) city to take the Seven Kingdoms, and everyone is calling her âmad.â
Thatâs a ridiculously insane standard thatâs never been applied to a single man on the show.
Tywin Lannisterâs army sacked Kingâs Landing. Nobody calls him âthe mad Lannister.â (Calling him âthe mad handâ sounds just plain silly.) Tywin Lannister ordered The Mountain to attack random places and leave behind fish to implicate/punish Catelyn Tully for taking Tyrion.
Roose and Ramsey Bolten committed plenty of horrors in the North, yet neither were dubbed as âmad Boltens.â The gods donât even flip a coin when the Boltens are born â theyâre all born straight up assholes.
The Greyjoys entire way of life is stealing, raping, and murdering. Yet, theyâre not dubbed mad. Not even when they invaded the North and took over their strongholds.
Dany killed her enemies, and along the way, she burned a few things that didnât need to burn. Why is she judged as âmadâ when men who have done far worse never earned such a bullshit title?
Also, it wouldâve made sense for Dany to burn the Red Keep. NOT the rest of the city⊠you know, where her own soldiers were still fighting.
Hence why I put âgoing madâ in quotes.
Her reaction, in my opinion, makes a lot of sense considering all sheâs been through within a short period of time. Along with her character design.Â
If you do stop for a moment and backtrack she did a lot of little things that showed her persona.Â
I think people liked her because the writers didnât entirely fixate on the issues that were caused by her along the way.
In shows, a person is hailed up as hero or villain depending on how much writers emphasize the effects of what they do. If they gloss over them, they are minimized.
I think people need to remember sheâs not a Queen sheâs a Khaleesi. Her man got killed because his men raped a woman...same woman she later killed by burning alive to create her dragons. Her man himself was also a rapist. Notice her Dothraki men arenât bothered by what sheâs doing compared to other characters on the show.
I could probably say a whole lot about this...but the more I think about it the more Iâm not bothered.
I honestly was expecting worse and to be completely upset...which Iâm probably going to be next week since this one here didnât bother me. Iâm sure people that are against her now are going to be praising whoever takes her out next week. It is what it is.
Ok, please chime in with GoT opinions because my dash is losing its mind, Iâm nosy, and tbh I will probably never actually get around to watching this show. Feel free to answer in the form of anything from a single gif to a dissertation.Â
Dany did bad things out of revenge and people are not happy about it.
People expected her to handle it with grace and just cut her loses and move on with life...But ya know, people that do massive amounts of good are often capable of massive amounts of bad.
She traveled from afar to claim the iron throne and along the way she made many friends and was hailed up and idolize as an overpowered superhero.
She came to Westeros all set to conquer the throne easily but got side tracked by Jon and the love she found for him.
So she decided to help him in his war (though it should have been humanityâs war) against the Nightâs King and during this she lost a lot of all she have acquired over time and gained nothing.
-She lost 1 dragon to the NK that he resurrected and turned into his pet.
-She went to Jonâs home territory and people including jonâs sister obviously didnât like her.
-That dragon came and attacked her other dragon during battle and injured and weakened him
-Her usually tactic of gaining peopleâs respect by being their savior didnât work against the NK because NK was Dracarys proof.Â
-She lost Jorah her love that she could rely on no matter how much friendzoning she gave him.
-She saw Jonâs little sister kill the NK, therefore, folks werenât impressed with her and was fawning over Jon instead.
-While going to Dragonstone she got ambushed an dher poor tired dragon got surprisingly shot down and her best friend captured.
- She tried to get her back and instead saw her killed infront her eyes...the final words of her bestie was DRACARYS (which means Dragon Fire).
-She been listening to Tyrion who for a while has been trying to keep everyone and everything intact and peaceful.
-She finds out Jon is a Targaryen and she asked him not to tell anyone, but Jon got a big mouth and went and told his sisters, and got spread everywhere.
-Sheâs upset Jon betrayed her and he says sheâs his queen as Jon has auntyzoned her.
-She mentioned to him she has no love there.
-Tyrion formulated a plan where he went behind danyâs back and freed his brother to go open the gates to get the people to surrender.
-She rode in on Drogon destroying all the super arrow that can kill dragons along with euronâs ships and the golden fleet...In a very boss like manor that SOME folks would have been praising if that was it and SOME would have been complaining about how OP her character is and how easy her win is and that the show isnât taking risks, trying to fan service folks.Â
-So, writers said FUCK IT!!!! This is Game of Thrones no happy endings here...
-She also saw that even with the surrender sheâs still hurt from all she lost and took her pain out on Kingâs Landing folks. Ya know Hurt people hurt people and all.
-Her mentality was made known earlier in the episode...she said she has NO love there so fear it is instead. So, she probably just blames everyone and hates everything about Kingâs Landing and decided to burn it to the ground because in her mind she gave so much and lost so much for everyone, and people still werenât following her on social media.
-Plus, her bestie told her Dracarys...so she went and dracarysâd everything in her honor.
-Jaime and cersei died cuddling each other, like the scared twin children they are.
-The Hound vs The Mountain was more shocking than Dany burning everything. The Mountain>>>>>Thanos...
-Arya has finally after all these years dropped her concentrated vengeance and has started looking at the peopleâs suffering, which is probably going to influence her behavior and outcome in the next episode.
Ok, please chime in with GoT opinions because my dash is losing its mind, Iâm nosy, and tbh I will probably never actually get around to watching this show. Feel free to answer in the form of anything from a single gif to a dissertation.Â
What the show itâs an emotional ride is what itâs all about. Many have yet to realize that. Emotions arenât one thing they are many things.
What was Aryaâs faceless man ability for? She could have gone and silently killed Cersei⊠no useless carnage, no Missandei death, Dany wouldnât have snapped, and most likely NO SANDOR DEATH! Because no fire. What a waste of a season.Â
Legit was expecting Qyburn to stab Cersei and then pull off his face and be Arya and then Sandor come in behind the mountain like surprise mother fucker.Â
Did you all expect a perfect show where Arya killed cersei and no one died and all was well and good?Â
People would be PISSED as they are now if they did that after she got NK kill.Â
Everyone is having an emotional reaction...and that's fine...but I guarantee if that happened folks would hate it. Emotions are high for this show and it just wouldnât be perfect for everyone. It is what it is.
I saw people preparing to hate it and was predicting that would happen and was already ranting in other places. Arya still might use her faceless man abilities, the show isnât over.

Well damn Game of Thrones
I can feel the masses pissed as hell.
To be honest imo. No matter what they did people would hate it.Â
Iâve seen multiple theories and people mentioning if they do X itâs predictable and boring. And people were filling in all sorts of theories for what they thought would happen.
The show is in itâs final leg and the season is very short. Many people have died and the characters have become OP. If they went the logical and sensible route that has been laid out folks would still hate it.
I remember having seen many folks criticize her character for being white savior or for being superhero-esque. And, feeling as though if it all works out for her in the end, the show would suck.
i think Varys coin flip comment was pretty much how they decided to go with her character.
I remember when people were complaining after the NK episode that no massive fan fav./major character died in the way previous seasons took out Robb, Ned, Tywin, Joffrey, etc.Â
They took out many here along with the innocents. Letâs keep in mind that the whole point of GOT is to not have happy endings. If theyâd done it in a way folks agreed to that would defeat the purpose.
Theyâve changed the game on television with how they laid out storylines and character arcs. As far as Iâm concerned this is just one of the things theyâre doing differently.
Super strong perfect female characters are now reigning throughout the world of fiction. I feel like they wanted to flip things on its head. They werenât looking to satisfy fans, because they know no matter what theyâd fail, plus this is their last season.Â
I personally was expecting worse. And, I guess Iâm alone in that. Iâm actually less stressed by what has happened. Rhaegal dying the previous episode bothered me more than anything that happened here. I still donât want Drogon to die even if they take her out next week. Set him free and on his way. I donât blame him for all the chaos, he still one of my favs.Â
I do think they could have gone somewhere else with her storyline but eh...
