Sometimes I hate being a lesbian because I am sick of our media, stories, and life being reduced down to the fact that straight women would rather relate to gay men than us.

I have this girl I know, who on her Pride snap story said "happy Pride to the yaoi!" and didn't even mention yuri. She is a bisexual woman.

This is not against gay men or bi people; this is against the system that is set up to constantly ignore us. Why does society at large ignore wlw stories? Gee, I wonder why a patriarchal society ignores the group of people who don't like men.

Gay men are also harmed by the focus of their sex life in the media; they are victims of it. Lesbians are victims of society in the way we are mistreated and ignored, misogyny is deep in the roots of everyting.
