Yesterday was Lewis Hine’s birthday and we shared some images of the man. Here is one of the photographs that Hine made during the Pittsburgh Survey, an important sociological study of Pittsburgh, PA that is considered a landmark of the Progressive Era reform movement. This image and many others from the collection at George Eastman House will be on view at ICP in New York City starting October 4, 2013.
