~Leaving for tour

The house was quite. A bit too quiet for y/n’s liking as she walked down the hallway towards the room that she and Shawn shared.

She stopped right in front of the door, looking down at the soft yellow light pouring out from under the door. Nudging it open she stepped inside.

“Shawn?” The curly brown haired boy looked up at her, a smile gracing his features at her presence in the room.

“Y/n! I thought You would never come up here. Help me pack?”

Smiling weakly at him, she nodded yes and bent down to help Shawn fix the mess of clothes he head shoved in his suitcase during the excitement of packing for tour.

“You really made a mess of this huh?”

Shawn snorted softly. “That’s why your up here, need your help.”

Y/n chuckled softly. She was very excited for Shawn, seeing him happy made her happy, and she was beyond proud of him for all he has accomplished. But it was hard, watching him leave and having their conversations take place through a screen. The house became silent and she had no one to cuddle with at night.

Y/n had been so deep in thought she hadn’t realized she was clutching one of shawns shirts with tears in her eyes.

“Honey? What’s wrong?” Shawn stared into her eyes with complete concern on his face.

Quickly, y/n wiped her eyes and plastered a smile on her face.

“Don’t worry I’m fine, really.”

Shawn studied her face for a few moments before shaking his head, “Your lying. You don’t have to lie to me y/n”

Y/n sniffled slightly. “It’s really not a big deal Shawn, I’ll- I’ll just miss you, that’s all.”

“Oh baby, why didn’t you tell me how you felt?”

“I just didn’t want to bother you, your so happy and excited and I don’t want to take away from that.”

Shawn pulled her into her lap and cradled her close to his chest.

“You never have to feel that way, I love you y/n, and nothing will ever change that. Not a million miles between us.”

Smiling up at Shawn y/n chuckled softly, “you so cheesy Shawn.”

“Sure, but you know you love it.”

Y/n hit his chest softly, “haha very funny Mendes. You are lucky I love you. Now, let’s finish this packing.”

Look, I get that we all love Shawn. I love Shawn. But we have to remember that Shawn isn’t just famous, talented, star studded person, he is Shawn. He is a person who deserves respect as well as love. Just enjoy his company and just talk to him and have a actual conversation instead of just worrying about pictures and everything. Not that anything is wrong with wanting a picture, but you have to consider the situation and his well-being.
