I'm Ariel, don't worry about my last name, it's not that important. Marine Biology and Cultural Studies major. Youngest daughter out of seven siblings, just don't mistake me for one of my sister's I'm nothing like them and we are all very unique.

“I can’t see much beauty in people that punish other over something simple as asking for directions. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a few people being taken to hospitals already.”

“I know what you mean…” Ariel yawned. “I’ve never heard such a song blasted so often as this song is blasted.”

\“Not to mention just how absolutely annoying the song really is. How do they expect us to function. Being evil is one thing… but the person who ade these rules is beyond that I swear.”

“I know what you mean. I can’t wait for this awful month to be over and we can go back to normal music. Whoever thought this was good music is so terrible.”

“Hardly saw your father? I rarely could get mine to leave me alone. Though, that’s not good, family should always be together.” She spoke as she followed Dianna.

“My family wasn’t really about that life.”  She shrugged.  “My Dad was always away on “business” and my Mom rarely stuck around the house.  I think I knew the maids more than I did my parents.  But, from what I’ve heard, they’re not all great of people anyway.”

“I’m sorry,” Ariel spoke softly as she tilted her head. “My family was the complete opposite, I have seven sisters and a father who was always in my business. You couldn’t step one foot out of line without everyone knowing. Didn’t help that I’m the youngest out of the sisters either.”

“Not really a princess or anything like that,” Ariel spoke quickly, “My father was a famous surfer before we were born and has a surf store.”

“Ah, that’ll do it.”  Dianna nodded, not looking back at Ariel.  “My Dad was a business man, I think.  I don’t know, I hardly ever saw him.”

“Okay…” Cinderella yawned throwing herself down in a random spot. Her ability to function was definitely running low. “That music…. it’s getting to me. I can’t stay up any longer.”

Ariel couldn’t help but to shrug her shoulders. She didn’t know why all of things that their parents could have named them, they went with all ‘A’ names. “I wasn’t kidding you with the names of myself and my sisters. There’s Adella, Alana, Aquata, Arista, Attina and Andrina. Of course then there’s me, Ariel.” She explained. “I guess they thought these names were lucky or because it’s all ‘A’ it makes things easier. I hope that I get to see all the badass things that you’ll do at the college.”

“I’m sure he’ll forgive you with time, family is a funny, fickle thing like that. You can fight and bicker, hate each other for a week then love each other the week after. You can be a major screw up yet they are supposed to love you, at least supposed is a very big word. Drinking is better when you got someone who can help to have lots of fun with.”

Dean tilted his head to the side before shaking it. “I think they just made it harder on themselves. All those A’s, I would get everyone mixed up all the time. I would probably use the wrong name more often than not.” He commented. The subject wasn’t that important and didn’t matter to him but she was a pretty face he didn’t know too well so he appeared interested in it. “Well if you don’t get to see them, you’ll at least hear about them. I have a but of a reputation here.”

“I think he has. Our last fight was on me but we’ve worked most things out. Sam’s always got my back when I really need him to. He’s my partner in crime after all.” He took a drink of the drink he had ordered and smiled at Ariel. “That’s definitely true. It’s way more fun to get into trouble with someone than it is to get into trouble by yourself.”

Ariel nodded her head as she took a long sip of her drink, “It probably was, I know all of our names were yelled for at once during different times in my childhood. I’m sure no one would be that upset with you if you get any of my sister’s names wrong. Least of all me.” Ariel remarked as she played with her drink, “A bit of a reputation? I’m guessing the bad kind then with the way you are such a badass then?”

“I’m glad that things worked out for you and your brother. It’s always good to have a partner in crime. Arista was like that for me when we were children. Being alone is never a good thing, so finding someone you can bond with does tend to make things more bearable.”

“I love me some heated pools, I could never complain with that. We lived right on the ocean but my sisters wanted a pool so we ended up getting one when I was a kid. It was pretty nice.” Ariel grinned softly, “Yeah, I’d like to see the pool, let’s go check that out.”

Dianna gave a curt nod, instantly spinning on her heels in the direction of the gym.  “Sheesh, a pool and the beach?  You must be a princess or something.”

“Oh, that depends on how strong you get. Most of the time, they consider you to be the one who is victimizing others.”

Ariel shook her head, “You only freaked me out a little bit, and I didn’t take into account that someone would be a photography student. It’s only natural that you would be taking lots of pictures. I would like to see the pictures when you’ve developed them. I believe you, I doubt you’re that much of a creep.” She smiled softly, not wanting him to be upset over what happened. “So have you gotten a lot of photos already Ireland before you came to the college?”

Chip visually relaxed as the girl seemed to understand what he was talking about. “Ah well I only got here a few days ago and mainly just been getting around classes and settling into my dorm. Today is my first day walking around with one of my cameras. Before that I did a lot of work at home, I’m from Paris, so lots of people and places to photograph.” He put his camera in one hand and held out the other. “I’m Chip.”

“Nice, I’ve been here maybe a week, I think. Trying to juggle classes and time is never a easy feat.” Ariel joked as she picked up her books and held them. “Paris, I bet it’s so beautiful there. I’m from Denmark, myself and never really went anywhere outside of there.” Shifting her books into her arm, she took Chip’s hand with her free hand. “Pleasure to meet you Chip, I’m Ariel.”

“I would have to guess so, seven of us all girls. Also all of us have ‘A’ names, which was also a curious thing. I never understood why that was the way things are. Why not call me Sarah or Clara, or any of my sisters that? Oh well, too late to change anything. I haven’t seen anyone else either at the school or here that are the biggest or clearly the best badass around here is you.”

Ariel nodded her head, she didn’t know if her sister grew quieter since coming to the college, but she was curious if her Arista was still just as boy crazy as she remembered. She looked to the side, remembering her father’s words that families should always be close. “Just as families who have been close before end up not so close after so many years.” She shook her head and smiled softly, “Well then here’s to you and me never drinking alone again.”

Dean raised an eyebrow at the girl. Her parents seemed strange to him. Then again, he was accustomed to having parents that really couldn’t care less what their kids were doing or how they were. “Wow, they really put a lot of thought into naming you guys then, huh? My parents didn’t do anything like that with me and my brother. Sam and Dean aren’t really significant in anyway.” He shrugged before smiling proudly. “Well thank you. I take great pride in being the biggest and best badass around here.”

Dean nodded softly. It wasn’t something he cared to think about but he had experienced what she had said. “That’s how Sam and I were for awhile. I ended up kind of up and leaving where I grew up without telling him so he was pretty pissed. We worked through it though when we met up here after five or so years.” He smiled at her again, “I’ll drink to that.”

Ariel laughed and nodded her head; she could understand how people didn’t like the sand. “Can’t be wrong with that, pools are the best sometimes.”

“Hell yeah they are, they can be heated and used all year round!”  Dianna smiled.  “At my house, our pool was huge, heated, and indoors.  It was in a room attached to the outside of the house so all winter I’d be in there.  But I haven’t actually seen the pool here, you want to head over to the gym and check it out?”

Alice stood up when she heard the other person’s voice, feeling on edge because now it was confirmed that someone had been watching her. What’s worse is that they were taking pictures, were they of her? They had to be and that scared her more than anything. “Um- okay?” She didn’t really know how to answer; she never had something like this happen before. “So you don’t normally take pictures of people who are studying?”

“Uh-” Chip rubbed the back of his neck. “Not really. I just was taking photos of the grounds around here and you were so uh, in your element I felt compelled to take a few photos. The lighting was just right and when you looked up-” Chip downed down at his camera wishing it was digital so he could show her. “I’m sorry if I’m freaking you out. I really don’t do this often, I just honestly couldn’t help myself.”
