One of the prettiest moments in winter is when the sun starts to come out again in like february/march but it’s still cold but that doesn’t matter because everything feels light and fresh and you walk outside without freezing because the sunshine is warming your face and everything is starting to wake up

here are some of my secret tricks

@ starbux/coffee shops: - get a “chai" - get a straight black tea - ask for an extra cup or use the doubled cup they give you sometimes - pour half the sweet drink and half the unsweetened drink into the extra cup - make the second half-drink concoction for the other person - have a nice chat w a probably more balanced and tolerable version of the sweet drink together! - also applicable to whatever-spice-lattes + coffee etc

@ anywhere - ginger ale - seltzer - half a lemon - do the same thing! get glasses / extra cups, half ginger ale, half seltzer, squeeze a bunch of lemon for that vitamin C, enjoy refreshing drinks w less sugar!

@ NYC - go to one of those posh cupcake shops w 50 tiny tiny cupcakes on display - get like a dozen or more - sit w your companion and split each tiny cupcake into 2 bites so you get to taste like 12 instead of 6 - recommended w nice hot unsweetened caffeinated drink as palate cleanser

Been a minute since I’ve been on here. So long, in fact, that I’ve deleted the app and am posting from crappy chrome on my iPhone. Just wanted to note a few quick things: I’m still in love with my guy. I love my friends even tho I do stupid shit for them like go to clubs for their birthdays. Also, I’m kicking ass in the MA program, teaching Spanish, and taking care of myself. I took a day off of work this week bc midterms and my own office hours were too much. Crazy how I’m taking care of myself in the moment, not after everything falls apart. Also, I love speaking Spanish to sweet lyft drivers - is that a valid hobby? Just tonight, I met Freddy from Cuenca, Ecuador (I was JUST THERE this summer, wild) and Alex from Bogotá, Colombia. Who just moved here two months ago to do his masters in aerospace engineering. How fucking cool is that. Anyway, i’m exhausted and just Irish goodbye’d this party so I’m taking off this liquid lipstick and going tf to sleep. Love and wholesome vibes to all. xo

Hi, it's been a while.

Gonna keep this brief because I hardly ever use Tumblr anymore. I'm alive and healthy and happy. I have my degree and I'm leaving the country again soon (!) and I am deeply in love with my partner and looking forward to the future. There's not else much to say...things are good and I am content. I can't believe how busy I've been and the things I've been up to. And I can't wait to see what else I get up to this summer. I've worked incredibly hard to be where I am, and more work lies ahead, but that's something for August and not today. I miss Chicago a lot, but I'll be back soon. Chao pescaooooo
