MEET AND HUH???
i skink therefore i scram...!
I read a post on here a while ago about how to beg, in a BDSM sense?
Like if your dominant wants you to beg for something, it explained how to do that, in a "if this doesn't come natural to you because you're autistic" sort of way. Does anyone have that post?
Someone found it and messaged it to me:
💬 12 🔁 2521 ❤️ 7240 · btw. i keep getting told my begging is rlly hot, so. this is the basic formula i learned as a teenager: 1. request-
"the only difference between a cult and a religion is the scale"
NO. NO IT ISN'T. THIS IS WHAT THE CULTS WANT YOU TO THINK IT IS NOT TRUE. THERE ARE RELIGIONS THAT ARE NOT CULTS AND CULTS THAT ARE NOT RELIGIOUS AND YOU MUST LEARN THE DIFFERENCE

my sister and her husband go see new movies a lot and a place near the theater they go to does $5 margaritas on monday so they’ve started doing marg movie mondays where they go see a movie and get a marg but they call the margaritas different things based on what they’re seeing. as far as naming goes “wuthering margs” was a little bit of a miss for me but it was preceded by “margipliers” when we saw iron lung so thats kind of a lot to live up to
i am begging you people to learn the meanings of genres before u talk about them. do not be the guy who thinks gorillaz is punk and taylor swift is grunge
i think semantic mistakes like this stem from not being very "well read" musically speaking. you listen to a song, you like it or you have strong feelings about it, and you want to talk about it in a way that reflects your enthusiasm. so you have a go at mimicing the language of critics, which means describing the music, putting it in context, trying to make a point about it
the problem is, this is the only band you've heard in this genre. you don't know the parameters, boundaries, and tropes of their genre. so all you can do is fall back on the 4 or 5 genre names you know about. and then you end up as the guy in the screenshot who thinks tally hall is metal
try going on the rateyourmusic or discogs page for the album you're talking about. those will tell you the actual genre or genres, which enables you to have conversations with others about it. those sites also have a little blurb about the nature of genre, its history, and a list of notable artists in that space. maybe listen to some of them for a few minutes, so you know what to listen for when identifying the genre in the wild
doing this will enrich your experience with the music you love
Oh, the urge to make a fool of yourself in an in game chatroom just to make a pretty girl laugh...
its interesting being a weird autistic tranny as a kid and letting yourself get accustomed to the idea that youre just some magically antisocial loser who is "introverted" and is happy being alone and then you grow up and realize that actually you love being social you love hugs you love going out and hate being alone you just hated all of the social opportunities available to you growing up so much you let yourself romanticize solitude as a slightly less miserable state than interacting with people
with the resurgence in popularity of calvin & hobbes, I’m so surprised no one has included this

TIL the reason you don’t find much Lyme’s Disease in California is not because we don’t have Ticks, or Lyme Disease Vectors; but rather: because the Western Fence Lizard (if you live anywhere in California this is your regular Garden Variety Lizard) has adapted a passive immune response that makes their blood lethal to Lyme Disease Bacteria. Any Tick that feeds on one gets its gut cleansed of Lyme Disease as a side effect.
Fucking neat.
There is a new vaccine going into Phase 3 trials from Valneva and Pfizer as well as a monoclonal antibody-based prophylactic treatment being researched at UMass!
"the only cure for this weird disease is the special lizard blood" is a Star Trek TOS plot that escaped into the real world
if you want to read more but have trouble finishing things, i really recommend short story collections (ESPECIALLY anthologies by multiple authors) and literary magazines. if one story sucks you can just skip to the next one, and anthologies and magazines will have work by multiple authors so you get a wide variety of styles, and if you find a story you really really like, you can look to see if that author's published anything else.
i'm not as well-versed in literary magazines as i should be (trying to fix that), but here are short story collections i suggest:

GLaDOS voice: "Would you like to see some artwork I generated? I've heard from other test subjects that AI-generated artwork produces an uncanny valley response in human viewers because they can't perceive it as fully real. They've told me that it looks absolutely hideous to them, that they can't imagine anything more disgusting than AI art. But, well I've been practicing and wanted your honest opinion. Feel free to let me know how ugly you find this by ranking it on a scale from 'vomit-inducing' to 'eye-bleeding'." A robotic arm lowers from the ceiling holding a hand mirror up to Chell's face
