I cannot believe there was a show that involved a post-apocalyptic world where a large number of people survived nuclear bombs and became fierce warriors who avoided technology, developed their own language and culture and religion, and had a rich, diverse assortment of characters all with their own strengths and vulnerabilities that were fascinating to watch unfold on screen, all thrown away to focus instead on a group of whiney, entitled colonizers literally screwing absolutely everything up for no damn reason.

Also? Can’t believe that for one brief golden moment, said show involved a complex lesbian warlord of the ground who was born into a sacred duty to lead and encouraged to abandon all emotion and attachments because love is weakness, who was surrounded by war and death but still sought peace and was brave enough to show her soft heart, who fell in love with a girl who fell from the sky and had the mantle of leadership thrust upon her in a similar way, who lost people and was shown no love from the people she consistently sacrificed parts of herself to save but managed to find a home in the eyes of what could be considered the most dangerous and powerful person on the planet, with intriguing political aspects to the culture of the surviviors and an enemy queen that’s been hinted at and bigged up from the start, all to be thrown away so that the group of idiots can run around and ruin more stuff for absolutely no reason. 

The unintended lesson of “love is strength” and “life is about more than just surviving” was absolutely thrown away to instead have the lessons of “nothing matters” and “shitty people are shitty” shoved down our throats instead. For no. REASON!
