Much like how Zekrom had chosen its own family and gave them their blessings, so too, did Reshiram pick their own during the days of war between Truth and Ideals.
While lightning marks crossed the skin of the bodies of Zekrom’s kings, those chosen by Reshiram would bear the flames of the first prince. Rather than set ablaze all that descend from the prince’s line would be born with various markings, aglow as if they still burn with Reshiram’s flame. Another characteristic of a trueborn descendant of the Prince of Truth would be inheriting the same blue eye colour of the Dragon of Truth. When one looks into one of these people’s eyes, they would see an inner fire in their blazing gaze.
At war’s end, the family had all but been destroyed. What remains of this family has scattered to the winds, leaving behind the Harmonias as the rulers of most of Unova. Reshiram itself, supposedly sealed away or destroyed in the final conflict.
While the dragon had been lost, its flames truly had not been snuffed out. Survivors of the prince’s line exist to this day, in the form of the Sages of Unova, who even now serve the current Harmonia king. This secret was kept well by the first king who created this council of wise sages; as far as anyone knew the Sages were merely talented fire users and ones with great knowledge of many subjects.
Gorm was the last trueborn male of the Prince’s lineage, for he had a daughter and he hid her well within the forests of West Unova.
Unfortunately for him, a young duke by the name of Solomon Kain discovered her and fell in love with the lady he met in the wood, and for a while, they had a wonderful, beautiful affair. And from their love was born another child, a girlchild who had the marks of the blue flame upon her back. Gorm’s daughter perished in childbirth, leaving now just this one sole bastard daughter in the lost prince’s line.
When he found out the truth from Gorm himself, Solomon accepted the child properly as his daughter and heir, to hide her true identity for even now enemies of Reshiram’s line still existed.
Tales and legends have spread about those Reshiram called their own, as if they are no more than bedtimes stories now. Even to this day, tales of the Fire Dancer Prince are still told to small children; a romantic little fairy tale of a prince who wielded blue fire to win the heart of a foreign princess with three other suitors. History books hold information of the family, but only mentioning them as the losers in several battles, and never writing their exact name, as if to mention them was taboo.
Though the Harmonia housee currently harbours no ill will with the ascension of Ghetsis Harmonia who wishes for a world of Truth and Ideals together, some resentment still exists when the side of Truth, Reshiram, and the Prince are spoken of in mixed company.
