Not every wound is meant to disappear.
Some become a quiet ache,
a reminder that
distance can silence a bond,
but never its echo.

Not every wound is meant to disappear.
Some become a quiet ache,
a reminder that
distance can silence a bond,
but never its echo.
How strange, yet peaceful to know
When hurt stays, memories slowly go.
Not big on love anymore. But, Oh man, you should've seen me when I was...
Your boundaries have to be stronger than your empathy. If not, you will keep trying to understand people who keep hurting you. You will give second chances that become tenth chances. You will let people take you for granted just because you can see their pain. But understanding someone's wounds doesn't mean you have to stay where you're being wounded. Empathy without boundaries becomes self-abandonment.
How painful it is to see the faces still resting in my gallery,
yet no longer living in my life.
I chose to walk away,
I chose the distance,
I chose the silence
and still, somehow, it aches.
A single photograph opens,
and suddenly the years come rushing back.
The laughter I forgot,
the words I once held close,
the moments that now exist only in pixels and memory.
They roll through my mind like an old song,
soft enough to comfort,
sharp enough to wound.
How strange, how unpredictable human bonds are.
The people who once felt like home,
who occupied every corner of my world,
have now become strangers to my days.
Once, I could not imagine a life without them.
Now, we live under the same sky,
yet in completely different worlds.
And perhaps that is why we capture moments
because somewhere deep within us,
we know that nothing stays.
Not the seasons,
not the conversations,
not the people we swear will stay forever.
So we take pictures.
Little proofs that something beautiful happened.
Little reminders that once,
for a fleeting moment,
our hearts belonged in the same story.
And yet, how tired the heart becomes,
carrying memories of people it can no longer hold.
The photographs remain.
The smiles remain.
The memories remain.
But the people
the people are gone,
living only in the quiet ache
between what was
and what will never be again.
Maybe in my thirties, life will soften its edges.
The world may seem a little quieter,
a little less dazzling,
yet somehow more beautiful in its peace.
I won't be chasing every tomorrow
just sitting in a crisp cotton saree,
flowers resting beside me,
watching sunlight spill across my office desk.
And when evening comes,
there will be a home that feels like an exhale,
a balcony waiting for me,
old songs humming through the air,
and a heart no longer searching for a life it loves.
Maybe I'm only a few steps away from that girl.
Or maybe, one day,
I won't be dreaming about this life at all
I'll simply be living it.
You can't add days to your life, but you can add life to your days.
Every moment feels alive when you are not trapped in your mind anymore...
Maybe being hurt and disappointed isn't that bad. As the pain becomes the fire that turns us into ash.
Because once you've become ash, no one can burn you twice.
If it's written for you, it will travel across all seven dimensions just to end up with u...
How can I explain this feeling to anyone that even if I have everything in my world it will still be empty without u in it
People ruin the calmest souls,
And call them toxic when they react:)
Homesick for a home that no longer exists:)
The intimacy of finding a home in a person.
“i still feel things deeply, i just don’t let them destroy me anymore.”
