There are always plenty of opportunities to create extra content in any given situation. It's all about awareness and application. I put together this little video from footage shot during the Tiger Beetle 10K Run through the Ainsdale sand dunes on Sunday. I was officially there to photograph the 460-plus competitors (I posted some of the photos, yesterday), but I hate just standing around waiting for things to happen. So I set-up the action cam on a tripod at it's lowest position and with a slightly upward angle. I then just had to press record as I saw the runners coming towards me and photographed them as they passed. It was useful to know which spots made both a great image for the action cam shooting widescreen and shooting the runners on a telephoto lens. Simple, effective and fruitful.
