Pathologic is full of compelling and complex female characters. However, women are underrepresented and often ignored in fan content. The vast majority of posts in the Pathologic tag are about men, and there are 11.6 times as many M/M AO3 fics as F/F ones. Let's do something about it!
During Pathologic Women Week, Sep 21-27, @ninakaina and I invite you only to create and reblog Pathologic content which centers women and lesbians. Tag your works with #pathologicwomenweek, and we'll reblog them onto the @pathologicwomenweek blog.
We've included some creative prompts designed to overlap with pathologic_fest (run by @fellowtragedian). Feel free to follow one set, both, or neither. For more information about the prompts, read on :-)
Sunday, Sep 21: The Shadow Council of Local Nobility. This is how Yulia refers to herself, Eva, Maria, and Lara. Women who use subtle and creative means to influence the Town's future. This day is for content related to any, and any combination of, those four women!
Monday, Sep 22: The Kin. A day for celebrating all women of the Kin. Taya Day. Be careful not to replicate anti-Indigenous tropes here (supplementary info).
Tuesday, Sep 23: Transfemininity. This day is about trans women and envisioning Pathologic's women as trans. Transfem headcanons for "male" characters are welcome, but not simply "fem version of [character]" genderbends! You Have To Mean It. (Due to its oversaturation, Burakovsky in any form is not allowed.)
Wednesday, Sep 24: Minor NPCs. A day for non-Bound women. Townsfolk, Feverish Feeling characters, people mentioned in passing... let's give them time to shine!
Thursday, Sep 25: Children. A day for Pathologic's girls -- the Termites, townsfolk, or even younger versions of characters. Hate to have to say it, but do not sexualize the children.
Friday, Sep 26: Butch/Femme. This day is centered on butch and femme lesbian identities. This may take the form of modern AUs, or explorations of female masculinity and lesbian culture in an early 20th century setting. Doesn't have to be shipping but we absolutely encourage shipping here!
Saturday, Sep 27: The Mistresses. "Women who weave time into threads of power." This day is for the town's Mistresses (in any possible interpretation) and exploration of Mistresshood.
Women who weave time into threads of power. They let power go through them and then let the threads back out. Even as men are building a town from wood and stone, the Mistresses weave its soul from intangible substances. The joys and the sorrows, the epiphanies and the lethargies, the feelings, the inspirations, that is the yarn that the Mistresses spin.
It's the final day, The Mistresses! This day's theme prompt relates to any configuration of the Town's Mistresses, past, present and future, and/or explorations of the concept of Mistresshood. As always, the theme isn't required; all content tagged #pathologicwomenweek will be included :-)

And do you really think that the world can exist without activity inside? Who is going to govern it? Who will paint it different colours, tints, and shades? I will distribute these roles among the children when they come of age.

The town is small and rather unexceptional, isn't it? But there are all kinds of people here. The simple folk-and the more remarkable ones. The former will tell you more than they know.
