It’s that time of year again!

The Project for Awesome is an annual charity event where people make videos in support of a charity of their choice and you can watch these videos and vote on which charities get a portion of the money raised over the next week.

As always, I’m supporting Conquer Chiari and trying to spread awareness about chiari and syringomyelia, so please watch this video and share it with friends and family.

We’re only at 30% of our donation goal on this fundraiser with two days to go.

The money is going to Conquer Chiari, a non-profit dedicated to research and education for a condition called Arnold Chiari Malformation, which affects up to 1 in 400 people but is not very well known. 

It takes an average of three years to get a diagnosis of chiari, and over 50% of people are initially misdiagnosed with another condition - including Multiple Sclerosis, fibromyalgia, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, and many other conditions with similar symptoms.

It is very, very important that we spread more awareness and education about the condition, and Conquer Chiari are doing a lot of great work to make this a reality.
