At the end of the day, we all are growing and changing little by little every day. Every choice we make, piece if media we absorb, and person we meet all contribute to who we will be at the end of the day.

Sure some of us a slower to adapt or even end up sliding back a bit on their journey, but growth isn't linear.

Some early morning Reflecting. In the past four years, I have gone from suicidaly depressed, the absolute lowest point of my life, fresh off a terrible toxic relationship and in dire need of a shift in my world view to perhaps the happiest and most comfortable I have been since my early childhood.

The shift was not long after I met my wife in person for the first time. I find it amusing how she walked into my life and like a tempest, caused such a massive upheaval of what I thought I wanted and made me want to be better (and still does). Watching her sleep with our cat curled up on her makes me realize just how blessed I am to have met her on my way through this life.

Life may not always go the way we want, but it is up to us to decide what we do with the game pieces it deals us. Sometimes we don't understand what is happening in front of us until much later in life, but I am glad for all the failures I got to learn from in my early 20s and eager to see where life leads me in the future.
