The sun is setting, casting shade over a field—a field that anyone else would just walk over without second thought. Here, I can see the blood of many, hear the screams of warriors, and my heart clenches at a harsh cry, before it falls silent. But it’s not actually here. This is Troy for what it’s worth—composed.

I’m just staring at the ground, because I would know this spot at any time, and it numbs me. It’s like I can feel the spear piercing me, but it’s painless—such a weird feeling that has me dazing out, wanting to fall to the earth where I one lie. But then, my name is called, bringing me back to the soft rays of an orange sunset.

I turn and see Achilles standing in simple jeans and a t-shirt. No armor.

High School AU where Patroclus is the cute water boy and team manager for track and Achilles just always needs water. Like. That boy drinks an insane amount of water. But really it’s just an excuse to get close to Patroclus and flirt and eventually ask him on a date with some sort of dumb water pun. “Hey, Patroclus, do you like water?” And Pat would be like “Uh...I guess...” and Achilles would grin and be like “That means you like about 70% of me! Let’s go on a date and make that 100%?” and patroclus, being the science kid that he is, blushes and grumbles how Achilles got the percentage wrong but concedes to the date.

So get this: Patrochilles, but a Yuuri!!! On Ice AU!

Achilles would be Viktor, a world record breaking ice skater!

And Patroclus would be Yuuri, the fallen star kind of ice skater who had gotten to the Grand Prix final, but didn’t quite make the leaderboard

Patroclus, whose idol has been Achilles since he was a kid

Patroclus, who goes to his home ice rink and, for practice, skates his favorite program of Achilles that gets recorded and put on YouTube without his knowledge

Patroclus who ends up with Achilles in his house, announcing that he’s going to be his coach!

And tbh just imagine if Achilles joins Patroclus in skating during practice. Patroclus is just so SHOCKED and AWED by Achilles that he has a hard time focusing on practice!

Highschool Patrochilles AU where Achilles would probably have the cheesiest promposal ever. Like he’d have the whole band come walking down the hallway playing a love song. And then he’d have everyone there line up and give Patroclus a flower or something. But it doesn’t stop there. That’s not extra enough. Achilles probs comes riding down the hall on a skateboard holding a huge sign saying “PROM?” and Patroclus’s expression is so cute that Achilles gets distracted and slams into the lockers
