Flake's podcast - Radio

Flake ist der „Tastenficker“ von Rammstein und Autor von Bestellern. Seine Kenntnis ungewöhnlicher Musiktitel ist grenzenlos; seine Themen u
Loads of songs about or mentioning Radio and many thoughts by Flake on the subject (we know from the Rammstein song with the name (which is not in the playlist by the way) that this is a topic close to Rammsteiner's hearts).
Sweet is the anecdote (starting around 0h33) about the first time a Feeling B song was played on the radio. The band had recorded 4 songs at night with the help of a friend of Aljoscha who was a techician, and they'd given the cassettetape to another friend who was a host on a radioshow and who promised to sneak their song into the playlist (as a host he wasn't allowed to do that, he normally would just host it, and all songs normally would have to be approved etc). So the whole band got together at Aljoscha's place, and listened to the entire show and the song just didn't come. 5 minutes to go until the end, still not, 3 minutes, still not..and then when the show was almost finished (the newsreader for the next broadcast was already getting ready), then all of a sudden the first notes of the song "Unsichtbar" ("Invisible", was never published) were played
Doch plötzlich wurde mich klar (all of a sudden i knew)
Es ist wahr (it is true)
Ich bin unsichtbar (i'm invisible)
And the band were really happy, only few notes were played and then it was cut short by the news, but they were super excited, and it changed Flake's life, now he was a musician who had been played on the radio 💕
Of course Flake could not play “Radio” as it would have been to much “in your face” and Flake would never want to be predictable. He has missed way more chances with playing their own songs where topic of his show would allow. But at least we are constantly getting sweet anecdotes from his life
@babypaulchen Any thoughts?
I HAVE MANY THOUGHTS
I can agree young blonde Paul and older, Festival era Paul are the two of the hottest versions of him. But as for bowl cut Paul, you’re forgetting about the Mutter era!!
Personally, I think this is the one era (and I suppose Festival) where he actually looks really good with the bowl cut. His young face mixes well with the boyish haircut. He looks cute, and he can also look attractive/hot–but that is also due to his youth. After this era, I feel like he should’ve tried something else. But he had it throughout Reise Reise/Rosenrot/LIFAD and that’s when I feel it looked not the best. Don’t get me wrong, I think he still looks good/cute no matter what, but the bowl cut fits his face the best when he’s younger, or when he’s older (WHDT/Festival eras). So depending on the era, hell yeah he can look hot with the bowl cut. In the end, he’s just a German metal “rockstar” with enough money to have whatever hair he wants, but he chose to have the same hairstyle for 17 years and I respect that.
As for your other analyses, absolutely and totally agreed.
Agree with the timeline if they low-point’s caption is changed to “Tonsure Paul” 😊

# frag mal wat fieset noch!
That might be my most favorite Paul TV moment! It sounds so much better in Berlinerish. I always liked to translate it as “ask me something mean” :) Because him not even trying to talk in TV-friendly manners - hoch-deutsch adds so much to the cockiness of the situation. But like most of Rammstein lyrics also in interviews translations just do not give the same effect.
