Sometimes we get used to thinking of the skills we use in art as not being of any practical value. This video popped up in my feed earlier, and I think it’s amazing how this guy uses basic pottery skills (digging mud out of the ground, wedging it, firing it in a primitive kiln) to create something to help him survive. Art skills are practical skills.

(To cut down on watch time, set the speed to 2X! It’s just as interesting and you won’t miss anything!)

Got any tips for clothing folds/wrinkles?

I just woke up so I’m sorry if any of this is incomprehensible lmao. These are just some general notes that are nothing new but I hope they’re helpful in some way! As always-reference reference reference ‘til you got a hang of the main theories but even then, ref is always a plus. Also, I thought of making another page explaining the individual folds referred to here, but imma just link the source that I learned them from which will surely do a much clearer job than me; specifically it elaborates upon the idea of the last image :)

The Art 4 class at PCHS gets the opportunity to paint murals on the blank walls by the main staircase. There was an email sent out and the students got to pick which ones were their favorite. So make sure to check out their progress if you’re in the hallways.
