Skyler; nothing but damaged goods

Levi: "You're not gonna hear me complaining." He smirked at him, watching him disappear into his room. Levi stood up and went to get a beer of his own, immediately opening it and taking a large sip before moving back to the same spot on the couch where he was just sitting. He was in the middle of another sip when Skyler reemerged, Levi shaking his head, "Think I liked you better in the other outfit, honestly." He rested the can on his thigh, hand still wrapped around it as the boy moved to sit next to him, automatically turning his body so he was facing him a little more, "You don't. That's the point." He laughed as he took another sip of his beer, shrugging a shoulder when it was back to resting on his leg, "Nothing, getting ready for school to start up again and working on some training." He shrugged his shoulder again, looking at Skyler, "What about you? Miss me?"

Skyler: "If you ever hear me say thank you for something, you should be worried," Skyler explained, laughing loudly after. He wasn't sure that sentence made sense but it had already been said so he shrugged it off. Finished off his first beer, he tossed the can aside and quickly reached for another. "Ew, school. I don't know why you bother with that." He popped open the can with a disgusted face. School was the last place Skyler could imagine being. Way back when, when he lived a different life, he attempted and could barely handle it at all. "You should take some pictures during training so I can see you all hot and bothered," he expressed with a wink while closing any space that was left between them. Of course he missed Levi but he would never admit it. Skyler had a greater attachment to the boy than he let on. Something about their dynamic always pulled him back in. "Eh, I just missed the beer you supply for me." He held up the can and took a hearty swig before laughing immediately after.

Levi: There was a sense of nervousness buzzing underneath his skin, something that happened quite a lot when it came to visiting Skyler. Levi knew it had something to do with the fact he was fighting against the urge to actually get somewhere with their relationship, to let Skyler see a little bit more of Levi than he had been comfortable with showing. He fiddled with his fingers, lacing them together in his lap and stared at them , lip caught between his bottom lip. Bringing him a Christmas gift (even though it was late) was stupid, he should have just left it at home or not even have purchased it at all. That would have been the better option. For someone who did everything in his power to avoid any sort of /actual/ relationship with Skyler, he did a hell of a lot of things that a boyfriend would do. The thought leaves his mind as Skyler walked into the room, his entire body relaxing back against the cushions, like just seeing the other boy is enough to get him back to feeling somewhat normal. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, "Guess I did, huh? You look good like that." He watched him walk towards the kitchen, unlacing his fingers and resting an arm on the back of the couch as he turned to face him, "Pretty much, yeah. Getting drunk with you has been cure for boredom lately, so here I am. And you're welcome, by the way."

Skyler: Smirking at the complement, Skyler brought the beer to his lips as he tilted his head back and chugged a good amount of it. He was somewhat desperate to get drunk at the moment. The week had been slow and he needed something exciting to happen, Levi being there was a bonus. "So I basically should keep my clothes off," he suggested as he continued to smirk in the boy's direction. As much as he would love to stay naked, clothes were probably the best option. Taking one last swig of the beer, he placed it down and made his way into his bedroom. After a few moments, he tossed on a flannel and jeans and made his way back to join Levi. "When do I ever say thank you?" Reaching over the counter, he grabbed the six pack and plopped down next to the boy on the couch, leaving little space between them. "What have you been up to?" he questioned while throwing his arm around Levi. Beer still in the other hand, he continued to down whatever was left of it.

Levi: Going over to Skyler's had become a regular thing for him, though he can't exactly pinpoint when it had started exactly. Levi just realized one day that it was his fifth night in a row there and that was pretty much it. He had a six pack in his hand a small bag with him, not even bothering to knock before pushing the door open. He kicked off his shoes and kicked them to the side and out of the way, dropping the bag down next to them and draping his jacket over it so Skyler doesn't see it. Levi got him something for Christmas and it could either go over really well or not so much. He walked over to the couch and took a seat on it, not even announcing he was here because he didn't have to do that anymore either. Levi left the six pack on the counter, figuring that he would need it later and kicked his feet up onto the couch and laid back, waiting for Skyler to come around.

Skyler: Life had definitely dwindled down in Haven. For Skyler, it was somewhat enjoyable. Most of his time was spent with Levi and he honestly wouldn't have it any other way. Their relationship was complicated. They enjoyed being around each other but never decided to define what they really were. Levi had a lingering fear that if they ever decided to take anything further, it would fail and what they had would completely dissipate. Stepping out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel hugging his waist, Skyler immediately noticed the boy sitting on the couch. "Well, you came at a great time," he said with a smirk as he leaned against the wall. "Guessing you were bored at home?" He raised a brow in question while moving into the kitchen and noticing the six pack. "Ah, exactly what I need right now." He laughed before picking up a beer and popping it open.

No uggs! I prefer coffee more plain but the sweater, yes.

Only a little, but I wouldn’t have said anything. Just warning you now though - you’ve said it, it’s been documented, so now it’s fair game from this point forward.

This is way more blazing than I’m used to but I love the warmth. I just am jealous of the cold.

But we just have nice summer here but I still want the autumn drinks and sweaters! I grew up in the warm so I’ve never really had it but everyone makes it sound nice.

I'm used to the cold, I basically live for it. I'm still not used to this blazing heat.

Is it bad I want autumn even living in the middle of the desert?

Autumn weather is the greatest weather there could possibly be.

I'm sitting here with a case of beer and no one to share it with, this is an incredibly sad night.

Levi: Every once in a while Levi would have a restless night, his body filled with anxiety as he tried to remind himself that he was safe in Haven and that there wasn't anybody after him anymore. That nobody knew where he was, that he was fine. He had spent hours staring at his ceiling, trying to distract himself mentally before his body settled into a panic attack. When his phone buzzed and it was Skyler, he was actually relieved even though it was instinct for him to be an asshole towards him. He regretted it immediately, already slipping on his shoes and grabbing his keys before the other boy asked him to come over. He walked quickly to his car, getting in and locking the doors, turning it on and driving his way over to Skyler's. He parked on the street before booking it for the building as calmly as he could, sighing in relief once he was inside. He took a moment to calm himself down, getting his heartbeat back to normal before heading towards Skyler's door. Knocking on it twice, Levi fiddled with his keys as he waited for him to answer the door, an apology already sitting on the tip of his tongue.

Skyler: Skyler had no idea what he was doing. It was so out of character for him to text Levi like that. Normally when he hooked up with a person, he wouldn't bother to talk to them again. But Levi was different. It was almost as if he felt comfort in this boy that he barely knew. Weeks ago, they absolutely hated each other and were constantly at each other's throats. Sitting home alone, Skyler was extremely lonely. His thoughts were starting to bother him and he needed an escape, which is why he texted the boy. Of course, it wasn't the best conversation but Levi was still heading over. Skyler was ready to enjoy his evening, no drama allowed. Taking a deep breath, he got himself up and headed to his front door as he paced impatiently, waiting for Levi to arrive. As soon as the knocks were heard, he reached for the door and opened it slowly. "Hey." He said quietly as he took a step back to let the other boy in. "Thanks for, uh, coming over." He continued awkwardly as he stepped away and headed towards the next room over. "You can close the door." He yelled out as he didn't look back.

Levi: you sure that's the only reason? cause i'd think there's at least five people above me on your list of people to text when you're bored

Skyler: I was trying to sleep but I couldn't and then I decided to text you because why not

Resonance | Skyler & Levi

Skyler: Ever since that drunken night, Skyler couldn't get Levi out of his head. Without meaning to be, he was so vulnerable, he let Levi get too far under his skin and everything was spilled. Everything he said, everything he felt that night was true and he wished desperately that it wasn't. He just knew he couldn't go back from that night. With all of that in the past, Skyler knew he could only make the best of this situation by actually getting to know Levi, by actually spending time with him. Skyler decided to get dressed as soon as their plans were made. He tossed on a ripped t-shirt and some tight jeans that he had been wearing for the past week. His place was relatively clean but he wanted to not seem like a complete mess. After he was okay with how it looked, he decided to take a breath and sit on his couch. From there, he nervously awaited the boy's arrival. He was completely jittery the entire time.
