THE NONCHALANT COMMENT  made the demon crack a smile, and she raised her eyebrows while trying to stabilize her companion enough to make walking somewhat easier on him.  “ worse than being tossed into a different realm with injuries of a source unaccounted for? ”  the shock of the situation alone would be enough to  disturb  most people ;  lord knows that without her family here, she’d have been  hysterical  beyond help herself, even without suffering any additional hurts. to take things this calmly spoke some for the fae’s experiences, so she had no trouble believing that claim.  “ it certainly sounds like a  story . ”  though for now, focusing on getting him somewhere for  help  was her more pressing interest.  “ do you happen to know  —  or make an educated  guess ,  given the situation, i suppose  —  if anyone you know is here? friends, family? ”

“Fae  don’t  have  the  ability  to  lie,”  he  shrugged  and  hissed  in  pain  as  his  body  reminded  him  he  was  hurt.  “My  father  liked  to  use  magic    to  summon  me  back  if  I  stayed  in  the  mundane  realm  for  too  long  and  he  would  also  teach  his  lessons  through  pain.  So  unfortunately  I  am  not  a  stranger  to  something  like  this  though  at  least  then  I  knew  where  those  injuries  came  from  and  who  summoned  me,”  that  was  the  new  part.  He  also  got  himself  into  some  very  messed  up  situations.  Though  he  wasn’t  going  to  voice  that  out.  He  chuckled  darkly  the  pain  laced  through  it.    “I  have  a  few,”  he  couldn’t  help  but  say.  Considering  it  was  a  demon  he  was  with  there  probably  wouldn’t  be  any  judgement  on  him  being  an  unseelie.  He  just  needed  to  garner  sympathy.  “Not  may  unseelies  like  to  venture  into  the  seelie  realm.  I  also  just  arrived  and  been  rather  isolated  in  the  unseelie  realm  so  no  idea  who  is  about,”  he  confessed.

Genevieve !!

gen watched with dampened interest, folding her arms easily across her chest as he worked his magic. the flora has always struck her as peculiar, though she had written it off as a consequence of unfamiliarity. his expression, however, had her rethinking her deduction. just how much of this world had been altered by the summoning spell? distrust she could understand, and it seeped into her interactions with other members of her kind. aside from her clan, the few she deemed trustworthy and was willing to spend a large portion of her eternity with, she was wary of others’ intentions. she had claimed what some sought to steal for themselves and others just flat out disliked her – – which wasn’t a stretch; she didn’t have a reputation for being the most upstanding citizen. ❛ and here I thought she was a badass, ❜ she sighed. ❛ i take it you aren’t amongst the bad ones? ❜ how unfortunate.

Now  that  was  a  reaction  Zi  Shan  was  looking  for.  Someone  that  invited  chaos  and  enjoyed  song  it  whether  it  be  for  their  own  survival  or  just  for  the  hell  of  it.  He  was  more  the  latter  and  enjoyed  immensely  in  doing  so.  “Depends  on  who  you  ask  exactly,”  to  his  allies  as  long  as  they  were  useful  he  wouldn’t  do  anything  against  them.  However  if  they  were  not  allies  anything  was  free  game  to  him.  Due  to  her  reaction  on  the  evil  fairy  he  thought  he  could  reveal  some  of  himself.  “I  am  not  angelic,  that’s  for  sure,”  he  commented.  He  was  someone  that  was  truly  selfish  and  only  did  things  for  himself.  He  didn’t  care  who  got  hurt  and  sometimes  he  hurt  others  for  his  own  enjoyment.  So  yes  he  really  wasn’t  angelic  in  the  slightest.  “You  don’t  seem  to  be  a  stranger  of  survival  of  the  fittest.  In  a  world  where  everyone  is  out  to  get  you,  you  have  to  do  what  is  necessary  to  keep  yourself  on  top.  Those  that  go  against  me  would  say  that  I  am  indeed  one  of  the  bad  ones,”  he  explained.

Adrian !!

His  eyes  rolled  at  yet  another  stupid  remark  from  Zi  Shan,  “Only  this  time,”  Adrian  had  to  respond.  He  followed  just  as  be  thought  he  should,  knowing  that  if  any  danger  came  they  were  able  to  defeat  them.  And  if  the  unseelie  before  him  was  the  danger…  Well,  then  it  would  be  a  fun  game.  But  there  was  no  reason  to  think  that  they  never  had  any  problems  with  each  other  in  the  past  and  it  did  not  look  like  either  of  them  were  here  because  they  wanted  to.  

“Interesting.  I  never  thought  about  the  consequences  of  what  would  happen  if  they  died.”  And  right  now,  he  couldn’t  think  about  it  either.  But  it  couldn’t  be  good,  the  horsemen  existed  for  a  reason.  Especially  death  would  have  their  hands  full  to  do,  clearly.  With  life  came  death.  Not  only  mundanes  died  after  some  time,  just  their  expiration  date  was  way  shorter.  He  sighed.  “Fuck  if  I  know,  honestly.  Or…  why?”  Big  questions  with  no  answers.  Adrian  felt  overwhelmed  already,  missing  his  mansion  and  solitude.  “And?  Where  are  we  going  exactly?”  He  wondered,  after  having  followed  the  fae  and  the  wisp  for  a  while  now.  “If  there  is  no  way  out  soon  I  suggest  we  find  shelter  for  the  night  and  try  again  in  the  morning,”  he  shrugged,  “I  got  a  massive  headache  and  I’m  angry.”  At  this  whole  situation,  the  realm,  whoever  cast  this  dumb  spell.  

“Aw  shame,  was  hoping  you  might  follow  me  to  bed,”  he  replied  back  with  a  cheeky  yet  flirtatious  smile.  Fae  can’t  lie  so  he  was  being  a  little  forward  here,  but  Adrian  was  hopefully  not  in  the  mood  to  remember  that  little  fact  and  think  he  was  teasing  him.    Either  way  it  was  a  win  win  scenario.  He  gets  him  annoyed  or  he  has  some  fun  if  the  other  was  up  for  it.  Zi  Shan  kept  moving  forward  though  his  guard  always  up  and  keeping  an  eye  out  for  any  other  beings  that  may  be  trapped  alongside  with  them.  Nothing  in  the  forest  can  inherently  hurt  them  but  it  was  easy  enough  to  go  mad  in  here.

“I  can  quickly  thing  of  the  consequences  and  the  term  ‘a  fate  worse  than  death’  comes  to  mind,”  he  told  him.  To  be  unable  to  die  despite  any  number  of  horrific  events  would  only  maximise  the  suffering.  If  animals  couldn’t  die  or  plants  for  that  matter  then  how  could  food  be  properly  ingested.  Decay  was  still  a  thing  for  those  that  were  dead  before  death  died.  “No  idea  on  the  why.  This  is  extreme,”  even  for  him.  “My  guess  is  to  go  against  death  and  bring  someone  back  or  someone  is  insane  enough  to  want  to  see  the  consequences  for  themselves,”  there  were  some  others  but  he  didn’t  really  want  to  keep  listing  off  reasons  to  kill  death.  “To  civilisation,  the  queen’s  castle,”  he  answered  back  and  stopped  and  looked  to  him.  “A  few  hours  yet,  so  sure  let’s  camp  out.  You  can  set  up  camp  I’ll  gather  food,”  the  fruits  here  were  different  from  what  the  warlock  would  be  useful  and  he  did  not  want  to  spend  the  night  dealing  with  a  paranoid  warlock  because  he  ate  the  wrong  thing.

‘ LIVING  A  LITTLE ’  was possibly the biggest overstatement she’d heard in a while  —  if someone told her five years ago she’d consider  stealing some fruit  the highlight of her current  ‘ career ’ ,  she’d probably have cursed them. but needs must, really  —  and given the  advantages  of the situation, adaptation had been  …  necessary .  the reflection at least prompted a sharp laugh, albeit still in good humor.  “ enjoy the treat, ”  she said to her companion with a cheeky smile.  “ it’s certainly the highlight of  my  day. ”  she halved her own and pocketed the stone before digging in herself once they were a safe enough distance from the store. when she was almost finished, she reciprocated the greeting: “ darcy. pleased to meet’cha. you usually spend your time encouraging people to petty crimes, or do you have a day job ? ”

“That’s  the  highlight  of  your  day?”  He  asked  reflecting  the  cheeky  smirk.  “Must  not  be  a  lot  going  on  here  then,”  he  wasn’t  surprised  there  was  not  a  whole  lot  going  on  other  than  bitter  faces  and  whispered  plans.  Zi  Shan  was  still  wondering  how  best  to  cause  more  chaos  with  the  current  events.  What  he  wanted  most  was  some  kind  of  action.  “But  thanks  I  will,”  he  took  another  bite  and  glanced  around  the  area  of  the  shop.  There  was  no  trace  anyway  and  who  would  honestly  miss  two  pieces  of  fruit.  “Well  it  was  politics  before  I  got  pulled  into  here,  still  trying  to  figure  things  out  what’s  going  on  here  before  I  decide  what  exactly  to  do.  For  now  I  guess  yes  being  the  devil  on  someone’s  shoulder  and  creating  some  fun,”  Zi  Shan  wasn’t  missing  the  politics.  He  wondered  what  kind  of  commotion  would  be  happening  in  his  absence.  His  Duchy  were  probably  pleased  that  he  was  no  longer  present.

Ace !!

Well,  at  this  point  Ace  was  interested  in  actually  any  kind  of  chaos,  even  if  it  was  the  bad  one,  the  one  Zi  Shan  caused.  While  mostly  he  looked  away  from  what  happened  as  a  result  from  doing  the  fae  some  favors,  now  this  time  he  would  watch  it  with  eyes  wide  open.  He  was  too  bored,  too  angry  to  look  away  from  it.  He  was  going  to  enjoy  every  single  moment  of  it.  “Let’s  see  what  wonderful  little  things  you  are  up  to,”  despite  his  sarcastic  tone  he  was  fully  honest.  Following  the  lead  of  the  other,  even  this  bar  was  empty  and  lame  so  a  table  and  seat  were  quickly  found.

Zi  Shan  noticed  his  sarcastic  tone  and  shrugged  if  he  didn’t  enjoy  it  he  could  leave.  It  was  going  to  be  fun  for  him  at  least.  He  sat  by  the  table  and  already  he  was  taking  the  scene  in.  Listening  out  and  hearing  the  words  being  spoken  the  mood  was  dull  but  there  was  a  tension  and  that’s  all  he  needed.  “Let’s  change  the  mood  a  bit  shall  we?”  The  fae  at  the  bar  had  hopefully  not  come  across  unseelie  magic  and  so  would  not  be  able  to  see  through  the  perception  spell  he  was  about  to  cast.  There  was  a  shadowhunter  sitting  across  from  a  young  fae.  As  the  spell  took  effect  he  looked  to  his  partner  and  smirked  and  walked  over  to  the  shadowhunter.  “Do  you  really  think  they  are  sorry  for  the  fall  of  Idris?”  allowing  his  words  to  settle  on  the  mind  of  the  shadowhunter  and  take  hold  of  them.  Like  a  femme  fatale  bringing  them  into  their  deadly  embrace.  As  he  walked  away  the  shadowhunter  started  acting  out  and  shouted  at  the  one  across  from  them.  Soon  enough  the  two  of  them  were  bickering  and  it  was  escalating  slowly.  Zi  Shan  took  the  opportunity  to  go  to  the  bar  and  order  a  drink.  Soon  enough  a  fight  would  break  out  and  he  was  going  to  want  something  to  watch  it  with.  By  the  time  he  got  back  a  fight  indeed  broke  out.  “Work  on  their  doubts  and  some  will  be  like  clay  in  your  hands  and  you  can  mould  them  to  do  what  ever  you  want  them  to,”  he  told  him.

Ace !!

Ace  had  done  the  other  a  favor  or  two  before. Therefore,  he  knew  what  kind  of  conflict  zi  shan  was  talking  about. Conflict  that  often  harmed  others. And  yet,  at  the  time,  ace  did  it. Without  remorse,  without  thinking  too  much  about  it. He  had  always  seen  each  other  as  someone  neutral,  just  wanting  to  enjoy  his  life  and  have  fun. But  maybe  there  was  more  behind  it. Ace  was  unsure  who  he  would  be  if  given  the  ultimate  choice. For  now,  he  was  glad  to  have  his  mind  taken  off  those  thoughts,  and  he  quickly  agreed  with  zi  shan  to  move  their  conversation  to  a  bar  instead. “let’s  go  and  see  what  kind  of  conflict  we  can  create  in  that  lame  bar.”

Zi  Shan  couldn’t  help  it  when  it  came  to  conflict.  He  loved  putting  people  against  each  other.  Turning  friends  and  allies  to  enemies.  Discord  was  the  game  and  he  loved  it.    His  father  created  this  monster  and  he  fully  embraced  it.  Zi  Shan  cared  little  for  others  and  did  things  for  his  own  gain.  Though  he  wasn’t  against  using  others.  Ace  had  been  useful  to  him  in  the  past.  “In  this  tense  atmosphere  I  am  sure  we  can  spark  something,”  he  could  at  least  use  Ace  to  lie  for  him.  Though  conflict  through  truth  was  very  delicious  it  took  time.  To  use  that  precious  piece  of  information  and  see  the  dominos  fall.  If  they  just  wanted  a  quick  rise  a  lie  spread  can  cause  some  interesting  reactions.

Adrian !!

The  seelie  realm?  that  was  new  to  him. Why,  actually,  would  he  be  here?  now  the  suspicion  of  all  of  this  having  to  do  with  zi  shan  only  grew  more. He  must  have  fucked  up  something,  and  now  adrian  got  pulled  in  as  well. All  of  this  was  so  very  fucked  up. And  he  had  a  headache,  one  that  made  it  impossible  for  him  to  think. “it  wasn’t  me,  or  you  —  then  who  was  it?”  and  why?  so  many  questions  and  no  answer. Once  he  figured  out  a  few  things  he  would  find  a  way  out  of  here. The  seelie  realm?  what  kind  of  nonsense.

  storming  off  into  whichever  direction  he  just  decided  was  right  on  impulse,  he  was  quickly  pulled  back  again. For  a  moment  he  thought  about  it,  but  then  quickly  decided  that  actually  following  a  fae  through  the  seelie  realm  was  a  smarter  decision. One  of  them  has  been  here  before,  and  it  wasn’t  adrian. He  sighed  deeply,  turning  on  his  heel  and  making  his  way  back  to  zi  shan  again. “fine,  you  lead.”  he  scoffed  externally  at  the  handsome  remark,  but  on  the  inside  he  smirked  and  felt  smug. Good  to  know  his  good  looks  were  still  somehow  relevant. 

  “wait  –  what?”  no,  he  did  not  notice  anything. Actually,  the  last  few  months  he  had  fallen  even  deeper  into  a  hole  and  isolated  himself. No,  he  did  not  take  notice  of  anything. “man,  here  you  go  and  drop  off  the  face  of  the  earth  for  a  few  years  and  the  apocalypse  starts  –  no,  wait. That’s  bullshit. How  can  the  apocalypse  start  with  a  horseman  gone?”  he  started  to  laugh  at  the  whole  irony  of  this  situation. All  these  years  of  life  on  his  back  and  now  that. “well,  let’s  get  into  the  fun  then.” 

“The  spell  was  cast  way  too  long  ago  for  me  to  get  a  clear  reading  on  who’s  energy  cast  it,”  he  sighed.  He  would  have  liked  to  thank  them  for  getting  him  out  of  unseelie  politics  for  a  while.  The  ripple  energy  was  strong.  Why  cast  such  a  spell?  Summon  a  bunch  of  pissed  off  beings  to  your  realm.  Adrian  and  him  were  not  exactly  weak  either.  It  invited  all  sorts  of  trouble  to  the  Seelie  realm  too.  Last  he  checked  they  were  not  exactly  the  most  inviting.  Two  years  into  her  reign  and  messing  with  the  fundamentals  of  the  realm  itself?  Bold  move,  stupid  but  bold.

“You  sure  you  want  me  to  lead?”  He  asked  unable  to  help  himself.  “All  that’s  in  that  direction  is  more  woods.  People  have  been  lost  in  here  for  years,”  he  told  him.  Wander  woods  had  quite  the  reputation.  He  closed  his  eyes  and  summoned  a  will  o’  the  wisp  to  guide  them.  To  random  travellers  they  can  trick  them  but  being  of  fae  kind  himself  they  would  guide  them  out  of  the  forest.  The  wisp  moved  on  and  Zi  Shan  followed  it.  

“Someone  killed  death  and  a  replacement  hasn’t  been  found.  That  or  death  herself  has  decided  to  forgo  the  natural  order.  Seems  like  a  recent  development.  Otherwise  the  plants  surrounding  where  you  found  me  would  all  be  dead,”  he  commented.  His  magic  forcibly  took  from  nature.  Nature  didn’t  react  all  to  well  to  it.  “We  both  know  you  don’t  fuck  around  with  the  natural  order  for  a  reason  and  I  think  you  also  know  the  consequences  of  a  world  with  no  death  are  after  a  while,”  Adrian  was  smart  he  could  figure  it  out.

EYES NARROWED AND LIPS PURSED ,  darcy evaluated her unwanted  advisor  for a moment but didn’t reply ;  he was gone too quickly after his  ‘ help ’  anyways. it was a split-second decision, made out of  habit  more than any outward influence, she’d  insist  —  but when everyone else was thus otherwisely occupied, she pocketed two of the plum-shaped fae fruits. it was hardly something to be noticed, anyways ;  and with a quick, discreet wave of her fingers, her lingering energy dissolved enough to not be traceable even if it did. a friendly smile at the shopkeeper as she left, and that was that  —  she couldn’t keep a small smirk off her face at the feeling of a long-persisting  itch  finally being scratched. the guy  ( also fae, if she read that right )  was apparently lingering outside, and she threw him one of the fruits as she passed at a leisurly pace, but without slowing down.

Zi  Shan  grabbed  the  fruit  and  smirked  as  he  took  a  bite.  “Good  choice,”  he  commented  to  his  now  partner  in  crime.  Stolen  fruit  always  tasted  that  much  better.  Zi  would  confess  the  fruits  here  were  much  more  sweeter.  His  natural  sweet  tooth  did  enjoy  that  when  he  was  here.  “Good  to  know  you  know  how  to  live  a  little,”  he  couldn’t  help  but  add  as  he  went  on  to  join  her.  Everyone  was  concerned  about  the  situation.  Zi  Shan  wasn’t  worried  but  he  did  wonder  what  effects  not  having  death  about  would  have  on  the  long  term.  It  wasn’t  so  much  worry  as  curiosity.  However  warping  of  realities  was  never  good.  Though  he  didn’t  like  good  so  he  wasn’t  as  invested  in  it  as  everyone  else.  He  had  been  trying  to  see  if  he  could  trace  the  rings.  Getting  them  would  certainly  give  him  some  amount  of  power.  Controlling  the  horsemen  would  also  allow  him  a  good  chance  to  obtain  more  power.  However  until  there  were  solid  leads  he  just  had  to  mingle  like  everybody  else.  “I’m  Zi  Shan,”  he  introduced  himself.

AS SHE SAW THE MAN STRUGGLE ,  camilla immediately crouched next to him, for one to stay his movements by resting her hand on his shoulder as lightly as possible, and for another to assess the damage done.  “ it is, yes. i suppose you must have gotten caught by the same spell that summoned the rest of us here  —  there’s been  …  quite an involuntary  draw  to this realm. ”  a corner of her mouth quirked up into what, on anybody else, might have been considered a little mocking smirk, but she tried to twist it into something supportive. if she could heal him without a deal, this would be easily solved, but like this …  “ the  injuries  certainly aren’t common, though. i’m sure there’s someone in town who can  fix this,  if you can make it that far? ”  she carefully,  carefully  tried to lift him to his feet.  “ here, let me help you. where does it hurt the most? ”

Zi  Shan  felt  the  residual  energy  the  summoning  spell  was  an  interesting  one  to  say  the  least.  “Makes  sense,”  he  commented  with  a  slight  groan.  He  hadn’t  heard  as  much  but  he  was  rather  busy  in  his  own  affairs  back  home.  The  seelie  realms  affairs  never  interested  him  anyway.  Until  now  that  was.  He  had  been  gathering  information  about  what  was  going  on  in  the  mundane  realm.  He  remembered  that  much.  He  was  planning  on  visiting  there.  Though  could  be  of  his  own  devices  to  he  couldn’t  100%  discount  that  either.  “Had  worse  believe  it  or  not,”  he  commented  as  he  allowed  her  to  help  him  up.  “I  can  make  it  to  town,”  there  was  internal  bruising  and  it  hurt  to  breath  somewhat.  There  was  injuries  on  his  legs  but  he  could  walk.  “Everywhere  but  it’s  bearable”  he  told  her  with  reassurance  in  his  voice.

she schooled her features to remain impassive as he used his tricks on her. impressed as she might be, genevieve wasn’t an idiot. She would never reveal her hand, and certainly not so early on. Sacrificing centuries of careful imperceptibility for the sake of a passing intrigue was hardly something she planned on doing. ❛ interesting. ❜ it didn’t sound unlike the brunette’s experience; one moment she had been crossing into canada with her clan and the next she was alone, without a familiar face in sight, and with a queen spewing decrees. ❛ if you’re lucky, someone from your realm was also transported here and might be able to provide you with some clarity. i found the original of my kind, although i can’t say he helped with my memories.  ❜ for what it was worth, he did assuage some of her rage. ❛ what I lost returned in glimpses over the following week. ❜

Zi  Shan  could  appreciate  when  someone  was  holding  their  cards  very  close  to  their  chest.  The  strength  of  will  over  herself  was  impressive  in  itself.  She  could  easily  adopt  a  mask  of  her  own  and  have  no  issue  doing  so.  “Well  since  you  know  what  I  am  there  is  no  harm  in  doing  this,”  he  commented  as  he  looked  at  a  bunch  of  plants  in  a  planter  and  he  pulled  the  energy  from  them  and  healed  himself  partway.  He  then  noticed  that  they  didn’t  die  and  furrowed  his  brow  at  the  reaction.  Well  if  had  known  the  natural  order  was  in  a  mess  he  would  have  healed  himself  from  the  get  go.  “We  don’t  generally  trust  each  other,”  he  told  her  as  he  got  up  slowly.  “Unseelies  if  you  haven’t  heard  are  like  the  evil  fairy  in  sleeping  beauty,”  it  was  an  easy  point  of  reference  and  at  least  those  on  earth  have  heard  the  story  once  in  their  lives.  “But  not  all  of  us  are  bad,”  he  added.  Those  didn’t  last  all  too  long.

UNEASY  BROWNS  FINDING  HIM  AT  HIS  EMPATHETIC  RESPONSE  …  &  pik  nodded  ,  furrowing  their  brows  as  they  looked  down  .  aside  from  the  chthonic  energy  the  seelie  realm  ,  itself  ,  was  emitting  ,  the  whitelighter  couldn’t  sense  much  of  anything  from  …  anything  for  the  moment  ,  zi  shan  or  otherwise             though  they  didn’t  think  anything  of  it  .  focus  temporarily  diverted  to  what  might’ve  happened  to  the  merfolk  they’d  been  trying  to  help  before  …  this  &  what  exactly  went  down  in  their  last  memory  outside  of  this  place  ,  but  nothing  concrete  was  crossing  over  at  the  time  .

brows  knitting  the  moment  the  gasp  was  exhaled  from  the  other  ,  they  shifted  closer  &  quickly  moved  their  arm  around  his  backside  for  more  ample  support  when  he  appeared  to  summon  a  staff  .  concerned  eyes  scoured  the  male  ,  only  loosening  his  grip  when  it  seemed  he  was  truly  stable  against  it             pik  couldn’t  help  but  keep  a  hand  against  his  backside  ,  however  ,  fretting  a  slip  .  browns  darted  in  the  direction  zi  shan  pointed  &  they  nodded  back  in  turn  .  they  would’ve  offered  to  orb  them  …  if  pik  had  a  clue  where  ‘  the  castle  ’  was  .  it  just  seemed  safer  ,  in  this  realm  ,  if  they  knew  beforehand  .  before  starting  their  journey  ,  the  whitelighter  stepped  forward  with  their  focus  on  their  opposite  .  ❛  are  you  sure  you  can  walk  ?  ❜  they  asked  ,  concern  filling  their  tone  .  ❛  i’m  not  sure  if  i  can  ,  but  …  i  could  try  healing  what  more  might  be  ailing  you  …  ❜

Zi  Shan  wasn’t  exactly  used  to  someone  who  was  overly  concerned  about  his  actual  well  being  about.  Definitely  a  bleeding  heart  type.  That  may  come  to  his  detriment  either  by  his  own  doing  or  someone  else.  “I  can  walk,  and  my  internal  injuries  are  just  internal  bruising  but  I’ll  not  be  taking  any  adventurous  routes,”  he  told  him.  Which  meant  the  walk  could  take  an  hour  to  a  few  hours  longer.  He  didn’t  like  the  idea  of  slipping  into  a  river  in  his  current  state.  His  dark  eyes  spotted  a  plant  and  he  smirked.  “You  could  pick  a  few  leaves  off  that  plant  there  with  the  fluorescent  pink  flower,  but  be  careful  not  to  touch  the  others.  They  won’t  harm  you  but  they  may  cause  you  to  hallucinate  should  you  touch  them,”  he  cautioned.  Seelie  plants  were  great  for  potions,  whereas  their  plants  were  great  for  poisons.  “It  has  painkilling  properties,”  but  may  come  with  a  bit  of  a  high.  He  can  deal  with  that  if  it  meant  not  broadcasting  the  other  he  was  an  unseelie.  Might  make  the  trip  a  bit  more  fun  anyway.

“So  you’re  a  celestial  being?”  He  asked.  He  recognised  the  energy,  so  he  was  either  a  whitelighter,  Nephilim  or  an  actual  angel  himself.  Zi  hadn’t  had  much  experience  with  angels  other  than  the  odd  pass  by.  He  also  studied  a  little  on  them  just  to  have  a  basic  understanding.  He  didn’t  like  not  knowing  what  he  was  dealing  with  when  it  came  to  putting  on  facades.

the corner of her lip curved up at his words. ❛ i’m so glad you approve. ❜ sarcasm came easily, perhaps too easily, but she doubted he would mind. if he did, that would make leaving this conversation simple. at least, it would have until he revealed his affiliation. her brows raised at that. she hadn’t considered the unseelie, at least not thoroughly. ostracized and presumably forced to remain in the seelie court for the foreseeable future, they made for an entire group that could be sympathetic to her cause. she would have to speak with Xie soon. ❛ seems to me that you need to be more observant, ❜ she kicked a nearby pebble, watching it skip across the pavement so as not to betray her interest, ❛ what is the last thing you recall doing? ❜

Zi  gave  an  amused  laugh.  The  woman  may  be  interesting  company  at  least.  Prickly  and  doesn’t  trust  easily.  Probably  plays  by  her  own  rules  as  well.  He  needed  to  observe  her  more  but  he  was  growing  to  like  her  as  a  potential  ally.  He  noted  her  interest  in  him  grew  as  he  mentioned  what  he  was.  Now  how  can  that  be?  Zi  Shan’s  curiosity  increased  as  well.    “Observation…”  he  started  off  saying  from  his  own  mouth  and  used  magic  to  move  his  voice  to  just  by  her  ear  “…has  nothing  to  do  with  it,”  a  fun  point  to  prove.  He  then  spoke  again  this  time  not  projecting  it  anywhere.  “My  last  memory  was  being  at  home  in  the  unseelie  realm  then  a  whole  load  of  fog  where  the  memories  should  be,”  he  told  her.  “So  anything  could  have  happened  in  between  that  and  waking  up  here,”  he  told  her.

He scoffed, and upon seeing some of the entertainment in this place – or whatever that was supposed to be, he could already agree. Boredom was definitely present here, Ace felt like that was part of his personal hell, being punished by boredom and apparently some war that was coming; one that he did not feel had anything to do with him, only political nonsense that he was never fond of. Chuckling at Zi Shan’s words, “I am not really a leader, not a follower. None of that bullshit. I keep thinking I was just born the wrong species because I can’t understand pack life. I do lead, from time to time — but I lead people; especially mundanes into some way of freedom and peace. So… I am not really a leader. I think.” His own words gave him to think at the moment because it was not always like that, which was why leading cults and communes was nothing he did all the time, but every now and then. 

Zi  stand  couldn’t  understand  that  feeling,  maybe  when  he  was  a  lot  younger  perhaps  but  even  then  being  an  Unseelie  was  right  to  him.  He  was  harmful  and  spiteful  and  did  things  for  his  own  fun.  Freedom  and  peace  not  really  his  thing.  Well  Freedom  was.  He  hated  being  restrained  in  any  way.  He  was  now  free  from  his  metaphorical  shackles  of  being  a  Duke.  Peace,  he  was  more  than  happy  to  stir  up  conflict  instead.  “I  rather  create  conflict,  but  freedom  is  always  nice,”  he  smirked.  “Let’s  get  a  drink,”  he  suggested  as  he  walked  towards  where  the  bar  was.  Perhaps  he  can  figure  out  some  ways  to  have  fun  in  this  place  with  some  attractive  company.

Adrian !!

It had been a very long time since they had seen each other last, and it was a different time, almost seeming like a different life from Adrian’s point of view. Many things have changed, a lot has happened — and now they found themselves here together. It must have to do something with Zi Shan, Adrian was sure. He was certain that he did not just practice some complex magic that went wrong, was it Zi Shan? By the looks of it, not.

“Hell no, it wasn’t me. Did you experiment around?” And most importantly, “Why am I here with you?” So many questions, and yet the whole area looked so unfamiliar, which made the Warlock slightly uncomfortable. Not to mention the highly unexpected company causing confusion. Well, at least he was nice to look at. But Adrian knew better than to trip and fall for the Fae’s good looks. He knew from experience that there was a lot of evil in that pretty head.

“Whatever,” he huffed, not waiting for the other to start walking, he started to move into a direction that would hopefully get him out of here and back home. “Let me get the fuck out of here.”

“I  know  it  wasn’t  you.  The  signature  is  fae  in  nature  and  we  are  in  the  Seelie  realm,”  that  part  was  obvious  to  him.  “No,  not  my  work,”  he  confessed  he  did  like  to  experiment  though.  He  often  did  on  his  own  subjects  that  had  gone  against  either  him  or  the  king.  Zi  Shan  was  impressed  by  the  spell  work  though.  He  may  not  be  able  to  make  sense  of  how  the  spell  is  pulled  together  but  it  was  very  creative.  The  parts  he  could  understand  were  very  well  pulled  off.   

“Someone  summoned  us  here  though,”  he  did  comment.  What  would  the  Seelies  want  with  him?  He  didn’t  have  a  bad  relationship  with  them  it  wasn’t  exactly  harmonious  either.  It  was  more  you  do  your  thing  and  I’ll  do  mine.  He  would  show  face  now  and  then  to  show  that  they  would  honour  some  stupid  agreement  and  try  and  listen  to  each  other. 

“Adrian  you  don’t  want  to  go  that  way,”  he  told  him.  There  was  nothing  inherently  dangerous  in  this  realm  but  the  wander  woods  were  no  joke.  “Follow  me  handsome,”  he  commented  as  he  walked  in  the  opposite  direction.  “Have  you  noticed  anything  with  the  lack  of  death  being  about  in  the  mundane  realm?”  He  asked.  Something  like  this  would  have  a  ripple  effect  surely.  Who  had  the  audacity  to  kill  death  or  any  horsemen?  Seems  like  he  missed  out  on  some  fun.

— dagon grinned, nodding. she wasn’t sure how far she really wanted to go, but a little bit of chaos would be fun. she was missing her extended vacation from reality though… she laughed, “ well, next time you’re stuck playing politics, i’ll see what i can do about getting you out of it, ” she shook her head. she contemplated his question for a minute. of the ones she was aware of here, the inquisitor was the one who she probably liked the least, even if she’d demanded a temporary truce. “ you are going to find me incredibly boring right now, but i don’t want to be the face of anything, ” she started. “ but the inquisitor is here. and there’s a clave member’s daughter here, too. i don’t know anything about her, but her family isn’t exactly known for inclusivity. pretty sure they’re the closest you get to being circle members without actually joining the circle. ” 

Zi  Shan  smirked.  “I’ll  let  you  know,  but  from  the  looks  and  sounds  off  things  I  won’t  be  going  back  to  that  kind  of  politics  any  time  soon,”  he  was  more  than  happy  about  that.  Zi  Shan  could  care  less  about  other’s  welfare.  He  also  actually  liked  to  cause  suffering.  Then  again  suffering  was  part  of  being  an  unseelie.  It’s  what  made  them  strong  and  cruel.  “You  don’t  have  to  be  the  face,”  he  replied  back.  “Plenty  of  ways  to  be  involved  without  giving  yourself  away,”  not  like  he  was  going  to  give  himself  away  much  either.  Illusionary  magic  was  something  he  was  very  skilled  at.  “Inquisitor  seems  like  a  good  option  and  I  imagine  a  popular  one.  Would  need  to  study  the  girl  though,”  even  if  he  was  very  much  like  his  father  not  everyone  was.  Though  someone  who  was  liked,  well  that  can  rile  things  up  that  bit  more.

Aidan !!

What the actual fuck did just happen? He groaned, trying to see where he landed at. How could a little bit playing with magic and practice end up somewhere else? Last he knew he was just about to… what was he doing again? Good question. He tried to get up, straighten some and explore the surroundings and figure out what the hell just happened upon hearing a voice. Before he would answer their question, he carefully made his way over, crawling on the ground so his figure wouldn’t be seen in the dark in the direction where the voice came from. Closer then, he recognized the face. “Wait what? You?” Adrian wondered, now rising again to his feet. “How did I get here?” He asked, more himself than Zi Shan on the ground. Extending a hand for the other to take, he figured to help him up.

Zi  Shan  was  not  quite  expecting  the  warlock  to  be  the  one  he  bumped  into  but  it  seemed  like  the  spell  brought  them  at  the  same  time.  At  least  the  residual  energies  gave  him  that  impression.  The  spell  was  so  complex  he  couldn’t  make  too  much  of  it  out  other  than  summoning.  Which  was  pretty  obvious  since  he  was  in  the  Unseelie  realm  (maybe  since  there  is  a  chunk  of  his  memory  now  gone)  and  now  here  rather  forcibly.  He  wondered  how  annoyed  Adrian  would  be  after  he  last  skipped  out  on  him.  Seems  like  his  father  at  the  time  was  keeping  tabs  on  him.  As  soon  as  he  got  the  artefact  he  wanted  his  father  summoned  him  back  to  the  unseelie  realm  and  trapped  him  there  for  a  while.

  Since  Adrian  knew  what  he  was  he  decided  to  use  his  own  powers  to  heal  himself  from  the  nature  around  it.  As  he  did  so  he  could  feel  something  odd.  Usually  it  would  kill  the  flora.  He  was  healed  mostly  but  the  flora  was  fine,  which  made  him  frown.  He  took  the  Warlock’s  hand  and  got  up.  

“summoning  spell  but  a  complex  one.  Can’t  make  sense  of  it.  Unless  you  can?”  he  asked.  “something  fucked  up  has  happened  I  can  tell  that  much,”  he  said  looking  at  the  area  he  drew  the  energy  from.  Negative  but  not  dead.  Consequences  of  that?  Well  pretty  bad.  Something  happened  to  death  from  the  looks  of  it.  He  looked  back  to  the  warlock  and  studied  him  for  a  moment.  He  always  liked  that  handsome  face  of  his.  Annoyingly  so.
