Honestly.. Otto owns two sphynx cats, both girls. The older one (by a year or two, they’re fairly young cats) is called Guinevere DCLV and Owain DCLV. Yes, this is the 665th pair of cats he’s owned. He loves each and every new pair he gets once they get too old.
Whilst Otto follows Gunmar and will do everything in his power to ensure his success both in war and the politics afterwards -- make no mistake, his loyalty is actually to the Pale Lady. It is because she wishes changelings to serve Gunmar that Otto unequivocally listens and acts, but if any point her stratagem changes, he will adapt with it.
It’s why he’s so frustrated when she fell silent on the relic -- and why he is so affronted and in disbelief that she would personally speak to / give visions to Dictatious.

It had hurt. Badly. So much more than the changeling anticipated. Initially touching the blade had stung, yes, but bravado - confidence the little human boy would be unable to hurt her - allowed her to ignore it at the time. Then another lucky hit that annoyed her more than anything else. Now, there are burns and her hand shakes when she tries to hold things. The cut along her finger (the one that split her nail) throbs and burns, even when she’s not using it.
And yes, complaining about the broken nail and the burns is incredibly petty, considering all the rest that did happen and could have happened, but Nomura herself is incredibly petty.
“You think I don’t know that?” Nomura snaps, ducking the hand. And here she thought Otto might have a sense of humor about the whole thing! Of course not, if she can’t laugh about it why would anyone else? Because they all know - in articulate clarity - what Bular’s response will be to Nomura’s failure. The only predictable thing about him is his unpredictable rages. “I have a plan. The burn is healing slower than I’d like.”
His humour was reserved for humans, not exactly with his fellow changelings. He had a reputation to uphold, even if he may still come across as somewhat eccentric, he was still most’s immediate superior within the Order. His affability only served to unnerve than to raise spirits. His eyes squint behind his lensless glasses, hand turning open-palmed, gesturing for her to let him take a look.
“Yes, well, being cut by daylight itself is not something that heals easily.” he notes offhandedly. “A plan..? Do tell, I am quite interested to hear how you’re going to wheedle out of this one. Perhaps I may even lend my assistance if needs be. As merely counsel, of course.”
Because whilst he does not tolerate failure as much as the next changeling -- he knew Bular’s methods. If there was to be harm, he’d rather it be from their hand than that of Gunmar’s son. Otto found him far too reckless and much unlike his father. No doubt he would find himself perished at the hands of the child Trollhunter sooner or later.
“ -- I am glad that Bular has been vanquished.” he grumbles in a tone that suggested he was not, in fact, glad, although the reasoning for why was revealed when he continued with; “After all, someone must now oversee the power vacuum that has opened up in this branch of the Order. I’ve always wanted to spend even more time in sunny California instead of my nice office in Paris.”
Of course he was complaining. In the company of Stricklander, his guise as a bumbling fool dropped and he was simply -- himself. And himself did not want to stay in America anymore than he had to.
“No doubt this presents exciting new opportunities. I feel like I can actually relax. Brother, what are your plans now? It will be difficult to foster power now that a good sum of our agents here have been exposed, including yourself.”

“Takuri, isn’t it? Why, when I last saw you -- you were about yay-heigh.” A rocky limb lowers to about his knees, a kind smile etched upon the stone surface of his ram-like face. Of course, what Odo was lying about and what was the truth would always be up in the air. If her parents hadn’t mentioned him at all, then his manipulation may be a little difficult, depending on what they’d revealed.
He explained swiftly; yellow eyes regarding her carefully for her reaction. “I was.. how you say, a distant friend of your parents. I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t remember me.” He needed to approach this carefully, until he was sure about her stance on her.. heritage.

“Ah, Trollhunter.. I have a question.”
There’s a pause. A long, considerable silence meant to build up the tension. He was still uncertain of his role, his mind processing through the vast network of connections that he’d amassed, only to have them shut the proverbial door on his face every time he reached out. Branded a traitor.. who had even survived Gunmar’s assault to issue such a label!? Nevermind that now, he supposed. There was greater things at hand, like his all important question.
“ -- Did your friends seriously nickname me Mr. Evilman? Who .. does that? Do I honestly look evil to you?” Yes.. only the most important questions.

- Otto is an Aquarius.
- He sleeps in his troll form, unless he’s on a mission / duty that involve human interaction.
-Despite this, very few changelings actually know what Otto’s form looks like.
-He knows way more dirty secrets about past monarchs, political figures, high value targets etc than he knows what to do with. Some of them are not even useful to know.
-His guilty music taste pleasure is most forms of jazz. He lies and says he prefers classical. He doesn’t.
