kylesgrey:
“When you can’t play the sports you’re used to, you find other ways to stay active,” Kyle replied with a shrug.
“Oh?” Penelope didn’t question it further and continued to dance, “It dancing is a sport then it’s the only one I actively participate in except for the occasional jog. Key word being occasional.”
noradeans:
“What’s wrong with my writing style?” Nora asked, ignoring the other comments her boss had given her.
“Oh for god’s sake, I’m not,” Penny said, “I’m speaking hypothetically. If I had anything to say about your writing, it would be about that not your opinions. Stop being so testy, I have better things to be doing than stroking your ego.”
christianohare:
“You are if you’re going to take on the task of teaching me how to swim,” Christian replied with a laugh.
“Well I just told you that I was crazy. If you don’t know that by now, the you’re just as crazy. Now come on. I have a new bikini that I’ve been looking for an opportunity to wear.”
noradeans:
“I’m an opinion journalist,” Nora huffed, crossing her arms. “If you disagree with one of my articles, so be it. They’re my opinions. Not yours. Mine.”
“Sweetheart, I’m your boss. If I was going to critique anything it would be your writing style, not your opinions. And if I did disagree, I could just not publish it but I did so drop the attitude please.”
kylesgrey:
Kyle danced with Penelope. “I guess you can say that.”
Penny laughed as they danced, “Well colour me impressed. You are pretty good.”
christianohare:
“You sure you want to teach me. It’s going to be a little crazy.”
“Wait, are you crazy? I thought I was the crazy one in this friendship,” Penny joked.
sawyerparker:
Sawyer smiled and joined Penelope, dancing around with her. She pulled out some of her old dance moves from when she was in ballet.
“Is that ballet training I see?” Penny asked with a raise of her brow, “I’m impressed.”
jayruzek:
Jay scrunched his nose. “Nope, not really.”
Penny pouted but then sighed, “Alright fine,” She said and moved to the bar to order a drink.
kylesgrey:
“Yeah, but it’s more of like fake confidence. I definitely could be better, but I also could be worse,” he replied.
“Fake it til you make it right?”
christianohare:
“We can go swimming in the lake if you really want to, but you totally can’t judge if I suck at swimming.”
“Well then I can teach you,” Penny said with a smile, “Because I can think of nothing better than a day at the lake with my favourite boy.”
winnievaughn:
“I guess we really lucked out,” Winnie agreed with a gentle laugh. “And this is much better than a swimming pool– no chlorine!”
“Exactly! Nothing better than fresh water. I normally swam in pools growing up except when we went down to the lake a few summers but not often.”
jayruzek:
“I would say all three,” Jay replied. “Dancing’s not really my sort of fun.”
“So you won’t even consider it?”
kylesgrey:
“I wouldn’t go too high.”
“Why? What happened to all the confidence from two seconds ago?”
christianohare:
“I wasn’t expecting you to suggest swimming in the lake.”
“Okay well then what do you want to do, mi cielo?”
sawyerparker:
“I mean, only if you promise me a kiss,” Sawyer joked.
“Now who’s in the ninth grade?” Penny asked, taking the other’s hand and pulling her to dance, “Come on before the song finishes and we don’t get to enjoy it.”
rileyxwalkcr:
“Not my kind of music I guess, I’m not really a dance, upbeat, pop kind of guy. I thought that was sort of obvious, maybe I need to work on my grunge look more.” Riley joked, looking at the other and feeling a little bit tense at how close the other seemed to be getting. What was she-…elemental? Something connected to earth, the sense was close but not enough for him to single out completely. “Both. And I let loose by drinking, I find it to be a lot more fun and effective than dancing.” Riley shrugged, “I’ve seen it happen, someone higher up sends a pretty girl to distract them, something get’s slipped into my drink and next thing I know I’m in a bathtub of ice with my kidneys removed.”
“Are you saying you’re a grunge guy?” Penelope asked, raising a brow, “You ever let loose by trying something? Promise a dance with me would be worth changing things up,” She teased, “Okay well if something like that were to happen I’d be writing about it, not actually a part of it.”
