I wish someone could tell me when I would meet my future husband, what my career would be, what I looked like in 5 years, what my life will be like in 10 years and if I will be successful. A daily horoscope won’t be able to tell me all of this haha.

Not knowing is what makes life so scary, but so worth it all in the end.

It’s me Madison. The real Ruth, but Ruth is just my middle name and not my first.

Wow, where do we begin?

For starters, you’re still single, but that’s not to say you haven’t been loved by many, because you have. They were just not the right person, and you knew that. Truthfully, you still have days when you get sad about it, but ultimately you know that god is going to provide you with someone incredible when it’s the right time.

What do you look like?

That acne that you struggled with for years finally went away when you turned 23 when you got on birth control and cut out dairy. You finally started to have a healthy relationship with food in 2020 when you had a lot of time to yourself (the world shut down that year because of a pandemic). You don’t binge eat or restrict anymore. You are beautiful, you have aged beautifully, even better than you ever imagined. Your heart has gotten even more beautiful ❤️

What does my career look like?

Girl, you’ve always known you would be successful, and that is exactly what you are in your career. You worked extremely hard and overcame a lot in your past jobs, but now you love where you work. You are 26 and have accomplished so much already. I hope you know how proud I am of you for never giving up.

What does my life look like?

You moved to Philadelphia and live there with your cat Trinket. He is adorable and a beautiful addition to your life. You have a ton of friends that love and adore you here. It was definitely trial and error when it came to making friends here. You actually became stronger when you let go of toxic people, which was a hard thing for you to do. The group of friends you have now are nothing short of amazing. You also visit your family often in New Jersey since you live so close to them. Speaking about family, the boys have grown into some incredible young men. You’re extremely close to them even though they live in Georgia. You do travel back to GA at least twice a year to see friends and family. Not only that, you travel often to visit friends ❤️ I can’t put into words how loved you are.

You are a beautiful woman inside and out. You have made me so proud. You have a huge heart and a contagious laugh that you have learned to love. Life has not been easy for you, Madison , but you’ve always come out of every trial and tribulation more mature and with poise. There is a light at the end of the tunnel ❤️ Enjoy life and trust in god that everything will work out as it should.

It’s Me Back To Reality

Well it’s been a while to say the least. These past three months have really had it’s toll on me. It’s incredibly sad how being away from such a toxic environment can make someone so happy, and then once you throw them right back into the environment, it all goes back to how it was before. 

I have always been mature for my age. Mainly because I had to grow up pretty quick at a young age, but it hasn’t been that apparent until being a junior in college and seeing how my priorities are very different from a lot of people here. I miss being in an environment where I was learning hands on and felt good  about myself! I guess the good news is I leave for Europe in almost a 100 days! 

My PCOS has been okay though... It sucks constantly working out, and not seeing much progress anymore.. I literally have been working out for four months now ( everyday) and I haven’t seen that much improvement. I even cut out dairy, and it’s still not fully where I want my body to be, but it’s better than where it was. My face has been a lot better! I definitely think getting rid of dairy has been the main factor for this. 

Honestly, what’s been hard is to not binge eat because now that I workout a lot, I am able to eat more, but I have to be careful with that because I do not want to overeat. It’s awful honestly having PCOS and CONSTANTLY being hungry and not being able to stop eating. The ONLY days I am able to feel full is when I’m on my period.. So you win some you lose some at that point.

Another thing, I know I shouldn’t care about being single, but it sucks not having any guys give me attention when all of my friends get attention... Idk just another thought.. I have to get back to studying, but I’ll be back soon.

Motivation Monday

If you would of told me that I would be this happy now; I would of started to lose weight and get fit months ago.. There is no better feeling than feeling in control of your life & health. I am so empowered to do more because I am so confident in myself and my abilities to do things. Yeah it sucks being on the elliptical machine for an 65 minutes, but being able to come home and look at myself in the mirror, is worth every single minute. 

Remember to keep your head up & do the impossible!!! I would of never ever ever guessed I could go to the gym and do this machine for an 65 minutes; and burn 990 calories & run 8.5 miles. What an accomplishment?! 

PCOS isn’t an excuse, it’s an answer with a solution. Remember that.

As posted earlier & then deleted (I got emotional) : This is pure happiness.. I stopped letting PCOS be my excuse for not getting healthy -- because here is the simple truth, you can have all of the pins,motivational posts, workout plans, diets, workout equipment. etc; but nothing happens  until YOU make the decision to CHANGE!! That’s exactly what I did.. Two months later  & I feel so much more confident in myself. I got tired of my excuses & did something about it. THIS WAS ALSO ME TWO WEEEKS AGO! SO I HAVE ACHIEVED EVEN MORE SINCE THEN!

To lose weight with PCOS: cut off all sugar and fats (and beware that fruit DOES have sugar). Eat very little (or NO) carbs like bread/rice/pasta. Eat vegetables with every meal, specially green ones. Cut off all dairy. Try to avoid processed foods. And, of course, drink plenty of water. This diet will improve your life a lot -- it eliminates the symptoms of PCOS, regulates your periods (and fertility) and helps you lose weight. It worked extremely well for me.

Weight loss Advice For PCOS??

Hello my “Cysters” LOL, I am struggling to lose weight... I really would love to lose another 15-20 pounds, but my body is making it seem impossible to lose any..

I have cut back eating tremendously due to my medication making me lack an appetite, but I was wondering what has been everyone’s most successful approach for losing weight with PCOS?

Chapter 13: Tonsillectomy Take Down

I’m back! Sorry it ended up being almost two weeks before I wrote another blog post on here, but Y’ALL I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW TERRIBLE THIS RECOVERY PROCESS IS. 

Basically I got my tonsils removed because 1. They were massive and had deep pockets. 2. I had gotten sick more than a few times these past 7 months ( I had shingles at one point) 3. My snoring and my breathing issues were caused by my enlarged tonsils..

How I can explain recovery... You don’t sleep at all & you’re on a ton of painkillers, AND when you feel pain for those brief five minutes after waking up or when the medication is wearing off, it is the most miserable five minutes. This is the cycle for 7 days. 

Slightly disappointed because my friends that have had the surgery told me that one of the benefits from getting this surgery is you usually lose 10-20 pounds because you are not eating; which is correct you’re not eating, but of course I lost no weight. 

Oh well.. I am now on day 12 of recovery and doing good! No more pain!

So. Let me tell you about the day I took this video. It was the 1 year anniversary of my open heart surgery. It’s about a year old, and I’d say it’s pretty safe to say I’ve improved since then. In case you don’t agree, let’s take a look at some more at my exaggerated waddling.

Oh wait… that’s not it, is it? It sort of seems like the opposite. Almost as though the ability to dance is based on strength, effort and passion and not on being skinny. Strange concept I know, let’s see if you can wrap your tiny little mind around it.

not to mention she wasnt waddling at all.. That was clearly a jete, chasse, and assemble.. not waddling. ballet…

Clearly she is performing a saute arabesque, chasse, step-step, assemble devant with arms in fifth. 

And as a teacher too, I can’t find much technically wrong with it at all. 

Which means not only is she a gifted dancer, she has a wonderful technical foundation that she is executing properly and with lovely mannerism.

Being a ballerina isn’t about how much you weigh. Give me this girl ANY day for a student or dancer to work with. Clearly she has the knowledge and the passion, which means she will be a joy to work with. 

Also, for those of you criticizing, you clearly have NO idea how difficult it is to execute a develope ecarte derriere the way she is at the barre in one of her later photos. This takes YEARS of dedicated training, as well as extensive natural facility, such as turnout, which she clearly demonstrates here. 

So maybe before you peons thinking you’re masters of ballet judge dancers based on weight, you should actually learn about ballet and technique. Because if you had, you’d recognize that this girl clearly has technique—unlike your basic asses.
